Tea Collection - Baby Meets World (Spring 2015)

When my niece was born, I couldn’t wait to buy her a sweet little outfit. But everywhere I shopped, I found all pink clothing with lots of ducks and bunnies.

I wanted something modern and relevant, something that reflected the appreciation and awareness of global aesthetics that our mother taught us as we were growing up. So I decided to create something for her myself. And that’s how Tea Collection started 13 years ago—with a pima cotton baby sweater inspired by the iconic coats of Asian costume.

Now that I’m a mom myself, I’m even more passionate about clothing for children. I want to give my kids—and yours—clothes they love to play in all day long. Clothes that are soft, easy, durable and stylish.

But I also want to share with families a bigger idea—that the world is full of beauty and wonder that connects us all. Tea celebrates that notion with clothing inspired by our travels to destinations around the globe. This spring our collection draws inspiration from India’s woodblock prints and kantha quilts.
