June 2015 ‘This year’s launch was a fantastic day which saw TBR15, the car that has been worked upon tirelessly for the last 16 months, unveiled to our many sponsors and supporters. It was a real privilege to showcase the exceptional engineering talent within the team this year, which has allowed us to develop a car that we can bring to competitions and build upon the reputation laid out before us by previous teams. We also have a running car at launch for only the second time in TBR history. I can't wait to see what result we can pull off at Silverstone after more than a month of testing. Bring it on.‘ Tom Peirson-Smith 2015 Project Manager

Newsletter DESIGNED TO LOOK FAST. DESIGNED TO BE FAST. The 2015 Team Bath Racing car sees a huge level of development and redesign compared to the previous year’s car. With a brand new powertrain system, innovative 3D metallic printing and a full aerodynamics package, the car has been designed with 4 key critera in mind.

1. Power to Weight With no minimum weight in Formula Student, TBR15 has been designed to be as light as possible as well as being powerful. An overhaul of the powertrain has seen a move to a turbocharged single cylinder engine, providing the highest power to weight ratio of any TBR car. teambathracing.com

June 2015 3. Aerodynamic Advantage

2. Dynamically Excellent TBR15 is only the second car in the history of Team Bath Racing to be running at the launch event, providing the team with maximum time for testing., This allows for the optimum setup of the car to be achieved, resulting in the best handling car the team can produce.

The 2015 car sees the first use of a full aerodynamics package on a TBR vehicle. With new regulations reducing the allowable size of aerodynamic devices, a full package was required to match the impressive downforce figures of the 2014 car. The standout 3D profiles can now be seen on both the front and rear wings.

4. Proven Manufacturing a reliable car is key to the success of Formula Student, and as such, every component on the 2015 car has been subject to real world or computer simulation stress tests.
