Module 1 Technology-enhanced learning: Tools for student empowerment
This module is intended to allow the students to review the development of their digital skills and qualities they will identify through self assessment.
Module 2
Enterprise and Employability
The first part of the module we focus on Employability, with studies that are focussed on 2 issues: Part 1 focuses on the labour market, employer expectations, self-awareness and the action planning
This will allow the students to develop an understanding of their learning styles and identify the type of learner they are and recognize the links between technology enhanced learning and currents job or business enterprise requirements. It will also link to Personal Development Planning development through a reflective process. In addition it will further develop skills in research, communication, presentation, taking the initiative and working in teams. It will also develop reflective learning and action planning. process using flipped classroom resources such as a mix of online lectures, classroom workshops, PDP work and employer visits, online business games and case studies. Part 2 focuses on organisational roles and opportunities with exploration of networking, decision-making and job search strategy. It incorporates employer visits and one-to-one networking. In the second part, students will focus more on Enterprise issues. Students are required to work in diverse teams to develop a business plan for an enterprise in performing arts, solve problems effectively and think critically in order to pitch for investment. The plan provides opportunities for enterprise education and the development of wider skills regarded by us

Being able to pitch your business to funders and investors is one of the most important skills for any small business. This module covers Strong USP (unique selling proposition) Evidence of a good team A credible business plan with a compelling Executive summary Proof of concept – providIing information about the actions and results you have achieved to date A strong reason why they should invest and a clear exit plan (for investors) A polished, but enthusiastic, verbal pitch.
