We are not experts but veganism is a great place to start for us…for ethical, environmental, and health related reasons.

So how can we bring this into our real estate business if we are not selling a vegan product? Well, that’s easy.

We can take a portion of what we earn, put it back into the community in a positive way. We can engage with other vegan businesses to grow through strategic partnerships and crosspromotional activities. We can educate our peers on how to get their message out to the world. We can create awareness through our Team Webster brand.

This is new and exciting for us. This fits in the new age of real estate with energy saving smart homes, micro gardens in the home, sustainable construction…so veganism is in line with what we value. It does not have to be perfect. We are here to give you the best real estate buying or selling experience; only now we can talk about a healthier you, home and planet.

Smoky Vegan Carrot Dogs We make these a lot!

Ingredients 6-8 Carrots Instructions: Cut and peel carrots to make them “bun length�.

Marinade 1/4 cup Soy Sauce low sodium 1/4 cup Apple Cider Vinegar Braggs 1/4 cup Vegetable Broth low sodium 2 Tbs Maple Syrup 1 Tbs Liquid Smoke 1 tsp Yellow Mustard 1 tsp Fresh Garlic minced 1 tsp Pickled Jalapeno Juice 1/2 tsp Onion Powder Boil carrots in water until just fork tender.

About 10-15 minutes.

Drain carrots, rinse with cold water, and drain again. Place carrots in a ziplock freezer bag.

Whisk all marinade ingredients together and pour into bag with carrots.

Marinate for 4-6 hrs.

Grill carrots on an open grill, basting occasionally. Grill to heat all the way through and to get some blackened grill marks on each side.

Garnish with your favorite Hot Dog toppings. Goes great with Vegan BBQ Beans, Vegan Potato Salad, or Vegan Pasta Salad.

Our journey into veganism began a couple years ago when our daughter had us watch a Netflix film “Cowspiracy�. The movie exposed us to the cruelty and horror of animal farming and the dairy industries.

So we began the vegan journey and now are more focused on whole plant based eating.

1 Can Chickpeas drained and rinsed.

1/4 C Celery finely chopped.

1/4 C Purple Onion finely chopped.

2 Tbs Vegan mayo of choice.

2 1/2 tsp Mustard of choice.

1 1/2 tsp Apple Cider Vinegar.

1/4 tsp Sea Salt.

1/8 tsp Turmeric optional for color and health!

Fresh ground black pepper.

Smashed Chickpea Salad Sandwich

For the Sandwich (options): Multigrain Bread or Optional Gluten Free Bread Sprouts Kale

Shredded Carrots Lettuce Tomatoes

Instructions: Using a potato masher, rough-mash the chickpeas until most is smashed but there are still some whole chickpeas left. Add the celery, onion, mayo, mustard, vinegar, salt, dill, optional turmeric and black pepper. Mix well.

Taste for seasoning adjustment.

Store in a covered container for up to two days. Delicious alone or piled high on multigrain with accompanying veggies.

Family moves to keep their pig.

Pigs are not allowed within the Newark, DE city limits (who knew) so this family moved to keep their family pig. The challenge was finding a community that would welcome “Bacon” to the neighborhood and still be convenient for commuting to jobs and enjoying Newark culture. Besides, Bacon was getting bigger and a ranch would be better than the two-story colonial he had grown up in. When working with buyers there are always needs and a wish list for a new home.

Most common wish is for a new, updated kitchen. However, this perfect home did not offer an updated kitchen (as shown). They loved this house and I was able to draw out a new layout that would accomodate the humans, the pig, the dog and all the cats! My background in kitchen and bath design gives me the ability to help buyers visualize their new home. And Bacon loves his

bigger back yard, one floor living and a big

new kitchen to “pig out” in.
