Gusty Gulas and Genny WillimansRob, a dedicated father of five young children, has managed to balance the demands of family life while building a highly successful real estate investment business, a personal portfolio, and a team who serves other investors also.
Rob's previous career as a stock broker and equities trader helps him see investment options and possibilities more clearly. He was comfortable in the financial world, but his passion for real estate investing and passive income prompted him to get his real estate license. As successful agents do, he originally got caught in the trap of working around the clock helping others and building his own portfolio. It wasn't until he hired Jamia Nelson as his transaction coordinator that he learned the value of good people and good systems. It was the catalyst for building the team he has today.
Rob's philosophy is clear: surround yourself with individuals who excel in areas where you may not, making every day more enjoyable and productive. He lives by this philosophy and by implementing the Entrepreneur Operating System (EOS) through the book called Traction, which helped him put systems in place quickly.
For new agents, Rob offers valuable advice: "Try everything." With countless strategies to succeed in real estate, it's essential to discover what works best for you and your personality in the long term. The real benefits come with time and perseverance.

The real estate industry presents daily mental and emotional challenges, requiring a resilient mindset to persevere.
Reputation: Honesty, integrity, and trustworthiness are cornerstones of a strong reputation, which becomes more valuable over time.
Adaptability:
To thrive in real estate, one must remain adaptable in the face of changing markets, technology, and regulations.
Rob has a skill for negotiation that he has taught his team. His favorite tactic involves setting clear objectives and identifying potential obstacles before each negotiation. He explains, "Clarity of intention often leads to favorable outcomes!"
Rob initially obtained his broker's license with the intention of starting his own brokerage. However, upon discovering the eXp Realty model, he realized it aligned perfectly with his objectives; avoiding the expense, effort, and management time a brokerage would consume. With the ICON award and Team model, Rob found the ideal platform to achieve his goals. For Rob Drum, success means challenging himself and continually improving. Currently, he's focusing on a significant project: building 53 townhomes, with groundbreaking on the first units expected soon.
