• Texas Tech is looking to snap a three-game losing streak while also becoming bowl eligible for the 23rd time in the past 25 seasons. • This will be the 16th all-time meeting between Texas Tech and Kansas State as the Red Raiders, despite four-straight losses, maintain an 8-7 all-time advantage, including a 6-3 mark in games played in Lubbock. • Saturday’s game will be Senior Day at Jones AT&T Stadium as Texas Tech will honor all 23 members of its senior class. • Texas Tech enters its meeting with Kansas State averaging 45.2 points per game which ranks fifth nationally. • Texas Tech is averaging 41.3 points per game in Big 12 play despite facing four ranked opponents through seven games. • The Red Raiders head into Saturday’s game after having scored at least 25 points in each of the first 10 games of this season, the longest streak to start a year since 2008. Texas Tech has never scored 25 or more points in each of its first 11 games to start a season. • Through seven games in Big 12 play, Texas Tech has scored 50 or more points three times, marking just the third time in program history where the Red Raiders have had three 50plus point performances against league foes (2003, 2008). • Texas Tech has scored at least 50 points five times this season. It is only the second time in program history where the Red Raiders have recorded five 50-point performances (2005). • Texas Tech continues to boast one of the nation’s top offenses as the Red Raiders rank fourth nationally in total offense and passing offense. • Texas Tech senior running back DeAndre Washington moved past the 1,000 yard mark against West Virginia with his fourth 100-yard rushing performance of the year. Washington is the first Red Raider since Byron Hanspard in 1995 and 1996 to rush for 1,000 yards in back-to-back seasons.
