OKLAHOMA STATE COWGIRLS (32-10; 3-4)

LEADING OFF... No. 25 Texas Tech returns to the road this weekend, traveling to Stillwater, Okla. for a two-game series at No. 19 Oklahoma State that begins at 4 p.m. Saturday at Cowgirl Stadium.

ON DECK The Red Raiders return to Rocky Johnson Field next weekend for their final home series of the season against No. 4 Texas. The two-game series begins at 6 p.m. next Friday.

TOUGH STRETCH TO CLOSE SEASON The Oklahoma State series marks the first of eightstraight games against ranked opponents to close Tech’s regular season. Six of those games will come on the road as the Red Raiders will travel to Nebraska and Texas A&M for its final two series of the year.

NATIONAL RANKINGS Texas Tech (39-7; 4-6)...............Receiving Votes/No. 25 Oklahoma State (32-10; 3-4)........................... No. 21/19 (ESPN.com/USA Softball - NFCA/USA Today) THE SERIES Oklahoma State leads the all-time series between the two schools, 21-12, including a 9-3 mark in games played in Stillwater. Tech swept the series last year in Lubbock, breaking a four-game losing streak to the Cowgirls. The Red Raiders have not won in Stillwater since May 6, 2007 when Tech completed a two-game sweep of Oklahoma State.

RED RAIDERS MOVE UP IN RPI AGAIN For the third-straight week, Texas Tech moved up in the ratings percentage index (RPI) as the Red Raiders came in at No. 27 in the newest rankings released Wednesday. Tech appeared at No. 30 in the first rankings on March 30 and moved to No. 28 in the April 6 release. SURPASSING LAST SEASON Texas Tech has already surpassed its win total from the 2010 season that ended with a berth to an NCAA regional. The Red Raiders finished 38-18 last year in the first season under head coach Shanon Hays. It marks the most wins for a Tech squad since 1997.
