TECH ENDS REGULAR-SEASON WITH BACK-TO-BACK HOME GAMES Texas Tech finally gets to come back home and stay as the Red Raiders will close out the regular-season with back-to-back non-conference games against Weber State (FCS) and Houston. The Red Raiders have been road warriors most of the season as Tech has played six of its first 10 games away from the friendly confines of Jones AT&T Stadium. Saturday’s game against Weber State will be another chance for the Red Raiders to become bowl eligible as Tech currently stands at 5-5 overall. FBS teams can count one FCS win towards bowl eligibility every four years. Saturday’s game will not be televised but fans all across the state and the country (via Sirius Satellite Radio) can tune into the action via the Texas Tech Sports Network. Brian Jensen, John Harris and Chris Level will have the call for the Texas Tech 2010 BIG 12 STANDINGS Sports Network beginning with the pre-game show at 1 p.m. SOUTH CONF OVERALL STK Oklahoma State

OKLAHOMA TRIPS UP TECH 45-7 Oklahoma 4-2 8-2 W1 NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - Ryan Broyles caught three of Landry Jones’ five Texas A&M 4-2 7-3 W4 touchdown passes and broke a few more Oklahoma records, leading the Baylor 4-3 7-4 L2 19th-ranked Sooners to a 45-7 victory against Texas Tech on Saturday. Texas Tech 3-5 5-5 L1 Broyles caught eight passes for 119 yards and broke Mark Clayton’s Texas 2-5 4-6 L4 career records for receptions and touchdown catches at Oklahoma (8-2, 4-2 Big 12). He also eclipsed his own mark for catches in a season and CONF OVERALL STK now holds almost every significant receiving record at the school. Broyles NORTH 5-1 9-1 W4 tumbled backward into the end zone after an acrobatic 29-yard catch in Nebraska 4-2 8-2 W1 the second quarter and later added an 18-yard touchdown catch and a Missouri 4-3 7-3 W2 leaping 8-yard TD grab on a fade route. Texas Tech (5-5, 3-5) scored on Kansas State 3-4 5-6 L2 Detron Lewis’ touchdown pass to fellow receiver Darrin Moore out of the Iowa State 1-5 4-6 W1 wildcat formation but then gave up 38 straight points. Jones surpassed Colorado 1-5 3-7 L1 300 yards passing for the seventh time this season, completing 22 of 29 Kansas passes for 317 yards. He also had a 12-yard touchdown pass to DeMarco Murray on Oklahoma’s first possession and a 59-yard score on a deep ball to Kenny Stills. It was the third straight blowout by the home team in the series. The Sooners came up with a memorable 65-21 rout against the No. 2 Red Raiders two years ago, derailing Tech’s bid at perfection in the next-to-last game of the regular season. The stakes weren’t nearly so high in this one. Oklahoma bounced back from its fourth straight conference road loss to stretch the nation’s longest home winning streak to 36, in the process keeping alive its chances of winning the Big 12 South title.
