Texas Tech’s four losses have all come to teams currently ranked in the top 15 of this week’s Associated Press poll. • Texas Tech is 2-2 all-time against West Virginia and 2-1 since the Mountaineers joined the Big 12 Conference prior to the 2012 season. It is only the second time in program history where the Red Raiders have recorded five 50-point performances (2005). • Texas Tech continues to boast one of the nation’s top offenses as the Red Raiders rank third nationally in total offense and second in passing offense. • Texas Tech senior running back DeAndre Washington needs just 63 rushing yards to become the first Red Raider to rush for 1,000 yards in back-to-back seasons since former Doak Walker Award winner Byron Hanspard in 1995 and 1996. • Texas Tech head coach Kliff Kingsbury is 1-1 against WVU head coach Dan Holgorsen, who was on the Red Raider coaching staff during Kingsbury’s playing days from 2000-02.
