Beer&Food Attraction confirms its role as the event of reference for the out-ofhome catering industry and as a hub for previewing trends and evolutions, as well as for showcasing the sector’s best talents

The selection rounds for the Bocuse d’Or and the Worldchefs European Grand Prix 2023 for haute cuisine. Pizza without frontiers and the Burger Battle for pop cuisine. Beer & Food Attraction 2023, Italian Exhibition Group’s trade show specifically for beers, beverages, food and outof-home trends, scheduled to take place at Rimini Expo Centre from 19th to 22nd February 2023, host important international competitions and, just before Christmas, invited visitors to treat themselves or others to a taste experience: from gourmet cuisine to sandwiches. It starts with the certainty of an edition in grand style: the opening day will feature selection rounds for the Bocuse d’Or in Lyon in 2025.

On Sunday 19th February 2023, four teams will compete in the FIC - Italian Chefs’ Federation - Italian Cuisine Championships for a place in the European final of the competition created in honour of the great French chef. The Bocuse d’Or Italy Academy, directed by Luciano Tona, with Enrico Crippa as president and Carlo Cracco as vice-president, and the Italian Chefs’Federation, led by its national president Rocco Pozzulo, will be helping them to prepare.

Also of international scope is the Worldchefs European Grand Prix 2023, the semi-final of the Global Chef Challenge culinary competition, which will be held in Singapore during the Worldchefs Congress in 2024.

Organised in collaboration with FIC, the Italian leg of the competition will see competitors from about 20 countries demonstrating their culinary art skills over the four-day event in three different competition categories: Global Chefs Challenge, Global Pastry Chefs Challenge and Global Young Chefs Challenge - Hans Bueschkens Trophy.

Beer&Food Attraction confirms its role as the event of reference for the out-of-home catering industry and as a hub for previewing trends and evolutions, as well as for showcasing the sector’s best talents, with a full programme of competitions and expert endorsers. Events will include the seventh edition of the Italian Cuisine Championships, which will follow the Bocuse d’Or selections, as an important showcase for the talented chefs taking part as well as the types of food represented, ranging from the sophisticated elegance of gourmet preparations to the irresistible simplicity of street food.

Pizza, one of Italy’s most iconic delicacies, will be back in the spotlight at Beer&Food Attracion with Pizza without Borders, which will see more than 600 pizza chefs from all over the world competing for three days in 16 different competitions. Now at its second edition, this world championship is organised by Ristorazione Italiana Magazine in collaboration with IEG and the TV talent show Master Pizza Champion, sponsored by A.P.R - Associazione Pizza Romana.

The best gourmet recipe of the most iconic sandwich will instead be decreed during the fifth edition of Burger Battle, an event promoted by Lantmannen Unibake, which will bring to Rimini the finalists of the Burger Battle Tour, the talent show that travels from north to south, with the participation of the best Burger Chefs in Italy.

For the entire beverage supply chain, Italgrob will be staging in Rimini the 12th edition of the International Horeca Meeting. The Confindustria Federation of Horeca distributors, in collaboration with IEG, will gather together producers, distributors and consumer outlets to take stock of the beverage industry and reveal market trends. The agenda will include talks on sector prospects, organised by Tradelab, IRI, Formind and Censis.

To further complete the overview of the sector, BBTech expo will take place alongside Beer&Food Attraction, hosting processing and filling technologies, raw materials, packaging, equipment and services for beer and beverages.
