Beyond the concept of organic
From grapes to flour, the crowning achievement of a project in which sustainability is the protagonist of the entire production chain. Since its presentation in May 2021, our Back To Basic wine line has aimed to send a concrete message in support of the environment while celebrating the virtuous practice of the circular economy in its various forms.
Back to Basic is in fact a line that goes beyond the concept of organic wine, in fact the entire supply chain is involved through the use of six environmentally friendly elements: grapes, glass, cap, capsule, label and packaging carton.
A project that was deliberately created on the occasion of our winery’s 40th year in business, which it celebrated by embracing the concept of “basic” understood as a celebration of the winery’s core and identity values.
As a final piece to crown this circular economy and sustainability project, we decided to include a flour made from grape seeds, from the grapes themselves at Raboso.
Indeed, flour is not only a product with rich nutritional content, but also the symbol of a production practice aimed at minimizing waste and maximizing the reuse of resources and raw materials.
Flour produced by G.S. Natural srl will also be among the basic ingredients used in the preparation of dishes at the new “Officina del Vino”.
At our agri-wine bar, we will offer menus designed to make the most of “circular foods,” respecting seasonality and avoiding any waste.
“We cherish the responsibility of caring for and respecting our planet,” says Sabrina Rodelli, Export Manager of the winery, “so we try to improve ourselves every day also through virtuous synergies with partners who share the values in which we believe. The Back to Basic line itself, as well as the grapeseed flour, is the result of collaborations with partners and suppliers who have decided to enthusiastically embrace this supply chain project, proposing to us, or even specially making, their most sustainable product. For us, this, too, means giving concrete form to concepts such as circular sustainability in order to be proponents of practices and projects that always have the same goal: to impact the environment as little as possible.”
