INTRODUCTION
The DHX速 Air offers riders heavy-duty trail riding shock performance in an ultra-lightweight package. The extra-large volume air spring and position-sensitive, velocity sensitive Boost Valve damping offer an amazing amount of stutter-bump through big hit sensitivity, and virtually bottomless suspension performance in any type of terrain.
With adjustable ProPedal (PP), riders benefit from maximum pedaling efficiency traction, and square edge performance, eliminating first-strike harshness when activated, to plush, downhill loving travel when the ProPedal is deactivated. With rebound adjustment, and adjustable bottom-out resistance, the DHX Air offers rider-adjustable tuning for any adventure.

REBOUND
Rebound damping controls how quickly the suspension returns after being compressed and gives you a predictable and controlled ride, while maintaining traction.
Assessing rebound by simply pushing on the handle bars or seat does not indicate the performance of the system in a dynamic environment. Save your judgment of rebound performance for a test section of trail.
REBOUND TOO FAST If rebound is too fast the bike will be unstable while pedaling and riding through shallow bumps. The unsettling effect is noticed as your body weight is pitched over the bike.
REBOUND TOO SLOW If rebound is too slow, there will be insufficient recovery between bumps to ensure successive bumps are absorbed. Harshness will be noticed on longer rough sections.

PROPEDAL
The ProPedal (PP) adjuster on the DHX Air is a wide range low-speed compression (LSC) adjuster. LSC damping refers to the damper force generated at low damper shaft speeds, as occurs with rider induced suspension movement.
PP adjustment provides a means for attaining a firm platform for pedalling efficiency on a long travel trail bike, allowing the rider to efficiently climb, yet descend with comfort and control when the PP lever is in the minimum setting.
ADJ SETTING - PP MIN Descending, technical terrain and trails that require maximum traction and compliance.
ADJ SETTING - PP MAX Ascents, smooth terrain and trails that require a firm platform for pedaling efficiency.

BOOST VALVE
Boost Valve (BV) technology delivers position sensitive damping, providing support throughout the stroke of the damper and resistance to bottom-out.
Boost Valve Range (PSI) affects the degree of Boost Valve control, and can be utilised to prevent compression overshoot (excessive travel use) throughout the stroke.
PSI TOO LOW Excessive use of travel / compression overshoot and lack of support throughout the compression stroke (wallow).
PSI TOO HIGH A lack of bump compliance throughout the compression stroke. Overall lack of travel use.

BOTTOM-OUT CONTROL
Boost Valve (BV) technology delivers position sensitive damping, providing support throughout the stroke of the damper and resistance to bottom-out.
Bottom-Out Control (BOC) affects the system’s resistance to bottom-out, offering relatively independent adjustment of the maximum bottom-out resistance.
BOC TOO SOFT Excessive bottom-out, while initial bump compliance and travel use are ideal.
BOC TOO FIRM A lack of full travel use, while initial control of bump input is ideal.
