elluride is a quintessential mining town that has turned into a bustling ski destination. Century-old brick and wooden buildings have been transformed into quaint boutiques and eateries. Guests and locals alike love to stroll up and down Colorado Avenue and a walk through history. Just up the mountain from downtown sits Mountain Village—a modern twist on the Telluride ski experience. This base village to the ski area accommodates skier service, new restaurants and contemporary lodging fit for any traveler.

When you arrive in Telluride, everything is accessible by foot, free gondola or free shuttle services. Shopping and dining in both Telluride and Mountain Village are within an easy walk of most lodging. Plus, a free pedestrian gondola operates from 7am to midnight. In total, Telluride and Mountain Village have over 60 restaurants and pubs to discover. For those looking for a mountaintop dining experience, Telluride offers several one-of-a-kind restaurants. During the winter, Alpino Vino is a favorite location for skiers to stop in for lunch in a high alpine setting. Then, in the evenings, Alpino Vino is serviced via a snowcat for guests to enjoy an elegant 5-course meal. Bon Vivant is another winter favorite serving French cuisine on the sunny slopes. Yearround, Allred’s Restaurant boasts one of Colorado’s largest wine lists showcasing nearly 1,000 bottles of wine from around the world. Beside the wine, this flagship restaurant is best known for its incredible views of the high peaks and valley below.
