Telluride in Summer Telluride is a bustling summer destination. People come from around the world to experience the beauty of the box canyon. Best of all, the valley is vibrant with popular festivals highlighting music, art, film and sport from May to October. Summertime is also the season for golf enthusiasts to tee off at the Telluride Golf Club. Here, guests enjoy striking the ball off of North America’s highest elevated tee box. At over 9,000 feet above sea level, golf balls soar farther than lower elevation courses. Plus, the beauty of the course is unmatched with incredible views of the San Juan Mountains. Getting off the beaten path is a favorite activity for our guests. Mountain biking, hiking, off-road vehicle trips and fly fishing are activities that use Telluride as a basecamp.
