The Telluride Ski Resort VIP Experiences Program is focused on sharing what makes Telluride so special. From a soak in Telluride’s exclusive Dunton Hot Springs to traversing hundreds of feet off the ground on fixed steel rungs along the cliff walls of the Via Ferrata, you’ll find experiences in Telluride that are unlike any other mountain destination in the United States. Included are a few experiences we would recommend adding to your Telluride itinerary. These experiences are unique to Telluride and will be a highlight of your trip to this beautiful area.
INTERPRETIVE HIKES Whether you are an advanced mountaineer or are looking for a relaxing stroll through nature, our hiking guides are well versed in local natural history and can tailor the interpretive aspect of any excursion to meet your interests and ability level.
VIA FERRATA For the more adventurous, the Via Ferrata may be the highlight of your trip to Telluride. Traverse incredible terrain leveraging scattered steel hand holds while attached to steel cables. Enjoy magnificent views as you pass through terrain that would otherwise be impassable. *All of our hikes include a catered lunch along the trail.
HORSEBACK RIDING Ride with Rowdy, one of Telluride’s most famous locals, through the majestic San Juan Mountains. Real Western wranglers will guide you on horseback through some of the most beautiful country you will ever see. A variety of riding trails range from easy riding for novice riders to more challenging terrain for riders with advanced skills. *No Sunday or Monday rides *Rides range from 1 – 2 hours and custom pack trips can be arranged
FLY FISHING Take advantage of guides that know the area better than anyone, and enjoy a private fly fishing excursion. Find prime locations to fish all summer long in a variety of rivers and creeks. We also offer fly fishing schools at Priest Lake and Trout Lake, and can arrange for overnight fly fishing trips as well.
WHITE WATER RAFTING Drift among green forests and red rock walls as you immerse yourself in a world of contrasting colors and whitewater rapids. Options range from mellow float outings for beginners to Class III+ rapids for thrill-seekers.
STAND-UP PADDLE BOARDING (SUP) Learn proper paddling techniques and experience the tranquility of still water in the middle of the mountains with our SUP clinics. Experience a summer excursion in a high alpine lake with our SUP trips to nearby Trout Lake.
PHOTOGRAPHY TOUR It’s often said that photos of the Telluride region don’t do it justice. The surreal scenery is breathtaking but capturing its beauty can be difficult for most. Our local photographers know the right tricks to focus on what makes these mountains stand out and can share techniques so you can capture the unique qualities of the San Juans.
TANDEM PARAGLIDING For the thrill of a lifetime, let one of our certified pilots give you a birds-eye view of our little box canyon. Launch from the ski resort to enjoy one of the most unique views you can get of the region during your spectacular flight.
