The Telluride Ski Resort VIP Experiences Program is focused on sharing what makes Telluride so special. From a sleigh ride to one of the most exclusive dinners in Colorado, to getting a private tour through Telluride’s own Wagner Custom Ski’s factory, you’ll find experiences in Telluride that are unlike any other mountain destination in the United States. Included are a few experiences we would recommend adding to your Telluride itinerary. These experiences are unique to Telluride and will be a highlight of your trip to this beautiful area.
HISTORICAL SKI TOURS WITH ASHLEY BOLING Ski Telluride’s Beginner terrain while Ashley regales you with stories and facts about Telluride’s mining and Mountain History *Must be able to ski beginner runs *1.5 hour tour for up to 10 people
AVALANCHE DOG MEET & GREET Have a little one traveling with you who loves our 4 legged friends? Let us know and we can set up a special play date with one of our avalanche dogs at the Patrol Shack on-mountain. *Patrol Shacks are located off green runs & can be accessed by Gondola.
ALPINO VINO SNOW COACH DINNER Travel via an enclosed Snow Coach to a quaint European butte offering a nighttime dining experience like no other at the highest elevation restaurant in North America. Enjoy fantastic views and a five-course Italian themed menu with an optional wine pairing. *Guests must be a minimum 21 years of age to attend *Coach departs twice nightly from Allred’s at the top of the Gondola.
ALTA LAKES OBSERVATORY Snowmobile or Snowshoe into the beautiful outdoors and experience the back country at the Alta Lakes Observatory. Enjoy lunch and a back country ski adventure. Available for overnight stays. *Minimum of 4 guests. Maximum of 8 *Guests ski from resort into Alta Lakes and will be snowmobiled back to the resort in the afternoon.
TEMPTER HOUSE OVERNIGHT STAY Perched atop the Telluride Ski Resort sits one of the most exclusive homes in North America. This unique and luxurious five level home was built by hand and sits at 12,200 feet on a run near the top of the Ski Resort. To get to Tempter house, Ski Patrol will whisk you straight up the mountain on snowmobiles, making this night ride will be one of the most memorable experiences of your life.
TELLURIDE SLEIGHS AND WAGONS DINNER Enjoy a special evening as you take a horse-led sleigh up to the beautiful Aldasoro Ranch. The scenery will leave you breathless during the ride, and once you arrive at the Ranch, you’ll enjoy a 5 course meal prepared with fresh and local ingredients. *Offering two rides a day. An earlier departure geared for families and a later for adults. *Rides depart & return from the Courthouse on Telluride’s main street.
TELLURIDE HELITRAX Telluride Helitrax has access to over 200 square miles of pristine terrain. They operate at some of the highest elevations in North America and consistently ski off summits and in high alpine basins and cirques. But Telluride Helitrax isn’t just for experts! The heli-skiing experts offer a variety of experiences that cater to your preferences and skiing/snowboarding ability. Whether you are a seasoned heli-ski veteran, or this is your first day, the time of your life awaits. *Trips depart from the Peaks Hotel in Mountain Village *Each trip includes 6 drops with the opportunity to pay for additional drops if desired.
STALK IT PRIVATE CLUB ROOM Host your own party in this beautiful space, well equipped with pool table, bar, large screen TV and fireplace. *Seats 20, or can accommodate a cocktail party for up to 50.
ORVIS HOT SPRINGS Take the scenic drive to our neighboring mining town of Ouray, Colorado. Here you will find large pools with slides and kids areas, or stop before Ouray for a quieter experience at Orvis Hot Springs. Either spot is the perfect way to end your day after spending time on the mountain.
TELLURIDE SNOWMOBILE ADVENTURES Explore the alpine beauty of Telluride by snowmobile! Telluride Snowmobile Adventures is proud to be the area’s first and most experienced snowmobile touring company. Several different tours are available to provide guests with all levels of snowmobiling experience an exciting and fun filled snowmobile adventure. *First time snowmobilers are welcome. *Tours range in ability from groomed trail rides to aggressive backcountry trips.
WAGNER SKI FACTORY TOUR With Wagner Custom, you get skis that flex effortlessly into just the shape of the turn you expect. Founder Pete Wagner has created a system that allows him to develop and manufacture custom skis made specifically for you. Take the Skier DNA questionnaire, speak with one of Wagner’s designers and in three weeks, voila, the perfect ski for you. See how the skis are made, from the original design process to the final tuning with a personalized tour of the Wagner Ski Factory.
PINHEAD INSTITUTE Educate and inspire your child about the wonders of science and technology by enrolling them in one of Pinhead’s engaging programs that includes direct interaction with scientists, and unique research centered internship experiences. *Programs include: Robot Building, 3D Printing, App & Game Building, Fly a Drone & Mad Labs for Younger kids.
