2016 Preview work and brotherhood that the remaining players have the opportunity to build upon.

Unfinished business. That’s the mindset of the 2016 Temple Owls.

While those goals were achieved, the expectations have changed. Temple tied a school record with 10 wins and had a couple of chances to add to that. No longer will it be acceptable to play in the postseason. Temple football now expects not only to compete in, but to win a bowl game and a conference championship. In the past, many viewed Temple as a stepping stone for head coaches – once they had success on North Broad Street, it was assumed they would leave for greener pastures. Rhule was faced with that opportunity last offseason being pursued by other schools with head coaching vacancies. However, his love for Temple and the city of Philadelphia, and the reciprocated respect and commitment between he and the University’s administration, kept the coaching staff pretty well intact. That stability has never been more important. First, the program needs to identify its new on-field leadership. Gone are three-time captains Tyler Matakevich and Kyle Friend, and two-time captain Matt Ioannidis. The defense is losing at least three players who appear headed to the NFL – Matakevich, Ioannidis and Tavon Young.

Temple has four non-conference games to kickoff the season before beginning defense of its American Athletic Conference East Division crown. Temple will have to get used to playing with a target on its back as 10 of the 12 opponents have lost to the Owls in their most recent meeting. Of the 2016 opponents, only USF looks to extend a winning streak against the Owls (Temple will face Stony Brook for the first time). Eleven is an important number for the Owls this year. P.J. Walker, who wears #11, will continue re-writing the school’s record book. He already has the career marks in pass completions and touchdowns, and is well within reach of the record for passing yards. But the most important #11 for the Owls this season will be the elusive 11th win.

While the loss of such a very talented senior class is difficult, they left a legacy of hard

The talent level continues to improve with bigger, stronger, faster players being recruited and developed. Last year, 15 of 18 recruits redshirted and learned football from the coaching staff while being trained under the watchful eye of Jeremy Scott and his strength and conditioning staff.

The goals were clearly stated in 2015 by fourth year head coach Matt Rhule. Contend for a conference championship, play in a bowl game, and finished the season as a ranked team.

This group of three-time letter winners – QB P.J. Walker, LB Jarred Alwan, OL Dion Dawkins, WR Romond Deloatch, DL Avery Ellis, DL Sharif Finch, LB Stephaun Marshall, OL Brendan McGowan, DL Haason Reddick, DL Averee Robinson – and all-conference performers – CB Sean Chandler and RB Jahad Thomas – will be expected to lead Temple to its best season ever, including back-to-back bowl game appearances for the first time in school history.

10th Season at Temple (4th as Head Coach)

On December 17, 2012, Matt Rhule (pronounced RULE) returned to North Broad Street to take the helm as head coach of the Temple Owls. Following six seasons as one of Al Golden’s top assistants, he joined the New York Giants as the assistant offensive line coach in 2012. He is now in his fourth year as the 26th Owls head coach and tenth on the Temple campus. Prior to the start of his first season in charge, he offered that his squad would produce an exciting brand of football and they would improve as the season progressed. Rhule delivered on those promises as the 2013 Owls produced nearly 400 yards per game of offense (the second best total in school history). Despite an 0-6 start to the season, the troops never surrendered and the team never trailed at the start of the fourth quarter in the second half of the season. The mission in the 2014 offseason was to learn how to finish out games. They did just that, allowing only 23 4th quarter points in all of 2014. That adjustment, and the overall improved play of the defense, helped the Owls to a 6-6 record. On June 25, 2015, Rhule was rewarded with a four-year contract extension that will keep him on the Temple sidelines through the 2021 season. Temple’s Director of Athletics Dr. Patrick Kraft announced, “Matt Rhule is one of the best young coaches in college football and we are excited that he will be at the helm of Temple Football through at least 2021. Matt has the program heading in the right direction, especially as we enter a very promising season on the gridiron, and we are confident that he is the right person to take the program to even greater heights." And take the program to greater heights he did. In 2015, Rhule has led his team to a 10-win regular season and a American Athletic East division trophy. For the first time in 73 years, the Owls beat Penn State, started the season a program-best 70, and were ranked in the Top 25 for the first time in 36 seasons. Ten of his players earned all-conference honors and senior linebacker Tyler Matakevich won the Bednarik and Nagurski Awards, while also being named a finalist for the Lott IMPACT and Senior CLASS Awards. The year ended with Rhule winning CBS Philly Sportsperson of the year and Coach of the Year from both the ECAC and Maxwell Football Club. That success prompted another commitment from Temple University following the season. Said University President Dr. Neil Theobald, “Matt's commitment to our studentathletes on and off the field, as well as the program's substantial improvement each season, has more than justified my confidence in him. He works tirelessly for the betterment of our players, our football program, and our university." Added Kraft, “Matt is one of the top coaches in college football and has been responsible for making Temple a national program. He is an even better person off the field; a true leader who instills character and

Matt Rhule Could Sell Ice to an Eskimo Listening to Temple’s third-year coach preach the virtues of his program, their league, their snazzy NFL stadium and the fact that a few former Owls have gone on to the NFL and Philadelphia itself and you can imagine how he dazzles prospective recruits. When Rhule gets on a roll he’s mesmerizing. The fact that he’s got actual NFL coaching experience doesn't hurt, either. --- Metro Philadelphia, Feb. 5, 2015 values in the men under his charge.” The State College, PA, native and a former player at Penn State, has 17 years of collegiate coaching experience, including eight seasons at Temple, and six bowl games -two with the Owls -- on his resume. Rhule joined the Giants in the spring of 2012. He worked closely with Pat Flaherty, who has been the offensive line coach since 2004. They finished the 2012 campaign at 9-7, second in the NFC East, and averaged 355 yards of o ff e n s e p e r game. Four New Y o r k players, i n cludi n g

guard Chris Snee, were selected to the Pro Bowl. During his previous tenure at Temple, Rhule’s role changed several times. In spring 2012, he was promoted to co-offensive coordinator after serving as the assistant offensive coordinator and tight ends coach as well as the recruiting coordinator under Steve Addazio in 2011. The unit will be headed once again by Glenn Thomas, who came to the Owls after a successful seven-year run with the Atlanta Falcons. This season, he adds the responsibility of offensive coordinator after the departure of Marcus Satterfield to become head coach at Tennessee Tech.

Last season’s #2 quarterback was redshirt-sophomore Frank Nutile. After spending his freshman year recovering from a torn ACL, he appeared in four games in limited mop-up duty. He was 3-for-3 for 40 yards and a touchdown in the homecoming win against Tulane.

Thomas is credited with the continued development of senior QB P.J. Walker. The junior burst on the scene with 20 touchdowns and over 2,000 passing yards in just seven starts as a true freshman in 2013 before leveling off in 2014. Under Thomas’ guidance, he continued to mature into a certified field general. He has already set the Temple career marks for completions (601), touchdowns (52), and wins by a starting quarterback (18), and is within striking distance of current leader Henry Burris in attempts (1,136 / 1,064) and passing yards (7,495 / 7,374).

Logan Marchi spent his freshman year redshirting.

of the remainder of the season. He finished with 166 yards and two scores on 43 carries. Jager Gardner was given the responsibility of kickoff returner by game seven and eventually earned snaps on offense. Nearly all of his 32 carries for the season were collected in the season’s final four games. He set the school record with a 94-yard run from scrimmage at SMU, scoring his lone touchdown of the year on his way to his first career 100-yard game.

Leading the running backs this season will be Chris Wiesehan, who coached Temple’s offensive line for the previous two seasons. Jahad Thomas, a first-team all-conference player a year ago, returns for his senior season. In 2015, he scored at least one rushing touchdown in the first ten games and finished the year with 19 scores and 1,262 rushing yards. Along the way, he topped the century mark five times, including a career-high 199 yards and three touchdowns on 31 carries against UCF. The former defensive back is the established starter but should get help carrying the load from a talented group of young runners.

After redshirting in 2014, David Hood became a trusted part of the offense last year. By midseason, he was inserted into the third down packages and was the leading ball carrier (1461-1TD) when Temple defeated #21 Memphis. Redshirt freshman Mike Gillespie will add depth, after serving the 2015 season on the scout team.

Last season, two true freshmen had limited opportunities to run the ball but showed they had what it takes to succeed. Ryquell Armstead emerged from the start of camp to earn a role spotting Thomas. He averaged five carries for 20 yards in the first five games, but was hampered by an injury for most

He is the first to hold that position for two consecutive seasons since 2007-09 (Kevin Gilbrdie Jr.). Gone from a year ago are three of the top four receivers: Robby Anderson (70-939-7TDs), John Christopher (20-208), and Brandon Shippen (20-288-1). All three were seniors. Redshirt sophomore Ventell Bryant (39-579-3TDs), an emerging star, returns. Last season, Bryant shattered the freshman record in receptions (22 - Sean Szarka, 2012) and receiving yards (378 – Carlos Johnson, 1998). The Owls are expecting redshirt freshman Cortelle Simpson to make an impact as a receiver and as a return specialist. Simpson impressed the coaches last season while on the scout team – he was the only player to be named scout team player of the week multiple times.

Redshirt senior Romond Deloatch continues to improve as a receiver, evident by his performance down the stretch in 2015. While he ended the year with 20 receptions for 155 yards and three scores, 13 of those catches came in the final four games.

Redshirt sophomore Marshall Ellick continues to improve. He played in five games a year ago, mostly on special teams.

Adonis Jennings transferred to Temple in 2015 after his freshman campaign at Pitt. The Sicklerville, N.J. native and Timber Creek product enjoyed his return home and contributed with 14 catches for 146 yards and two touchdowns.

Redshirt sophomores John Ruza and Willie Smith, along with redshirt freshman Travon Williams, are all former walk-ons who add depth.

The 2016 recruiting class sees the additions of Freddie Johnson [North Fort Myers (Fla.) High], Randle Jones [North Miami Beach (Fla.) High], and Isaiah Wright (West Hartford, Conn. / Kingswood-Oxford). Aaron Bailey (Scottsdale, Pa. / Southmoreland) was added as a walk-on this spring.

Two receivers who redshirted last season are expected to make big contributions in 2016. Redshirt sophomore Brodrick Yancy was proving to be a tough slot receiver and valiantly fought to return from an injury in game two, but was forced to the sidelines for the remainder of the season. Redshirt junior Keith Kirkwood, who transferred from Hawaii in 2014, has shown flashes of brilliance but needs to be more consistent.

OFFENSIVE LINE George DeLeone Run Game Coord. / Offensive Line 1st Year with Temple The offensive line is under new leadership both on and off the field. George DeLeone, a 46-year coaching veteran, returns for his tour of duty coaching Temple’s offensive line. He was the teams’ offensive coordinator in 2006-07 and tutored the offensive line in 2007. On the field, the unit will be without the leadership of center Kyle Friend, who graduated. Friend, a three-time captain, was the cornerstone of the offensive line for the past three seasons. Inheriting the baton will be senior left tackle Dion Dawkins. Dawkins has started 26 games over the past three seasons and earned fourth team All-America honors from Phil Steele following the 2015 campaign. Temple has three other linemen with starting experience from a year ago. Redshirt senior Brendan McGowan has started 17 games over the past three seasons. He started four games at center for Friend in 2015 and was the starting guard for most of the 2014 season. Brian Carter clocked ten games at right guard last season and continues to improve. The redshirt junior is in just his second full season on the O-line after converting from a defensive tackle in 2013. Redshirt junior Leon Johnson started seven games at tackle last year and played in 12 as the Owls employed a six-man group.

last season before returning to offense again for 2016. Redshirt juniors Samaj Reed and Adrian Sullivan, redshirt sophomores James McHale and Aaron Ruff, and redshirt freshmen Jovahn Fair and Benson Israel have all been recruited to play offensive line for Temple. With the graduation of Friend, Ahmed and Eric Lofton, the opportunity is there for them to get on the field. Three walk-ons continue to develop. Nick Apostolu and Gordon Thomas were added in 2014 and Joseph Woerner in 2015. Thomas saw action in three games last season.

In the past few seasons under head coach Matt Rhule, Temple has looked to develop offensive linemen in one of two ways – convert from defense to offense or recruit-redshirt-develop. Falling in the first category and following the successes of Carter and Shahbaz Ahmed are redshirt juniors Kiser Terry and Jordan Jones. Terry earned two letters in 2013-14 as a contributor on the defensive line. He moved to the offensive side of the ball last year and spent the season redshirting. Jones came to Temple as an offensive lineman and moved to defense

Ed Foley Asst. Head Coach / TEs / Special Teams 9th Year with Temple Ed Foley begins his fourth season as Temple’s tight ends coach and his second as the special teams coordinator. Redshirt senior Colin Thompson is finally fully recovered from foot injuries that hampered him at Florida and brought the Doylestown, Pa., native back home. Entering his third and final season for Temple, Thompson has been a major force in the improved run game and has made contributions in the passing attack. Redshirt sophomore Kip Patton provided a spark and big-play ability. He finished the season with 12 catches for 168 yards with half of those catches converting first downs. He also scored two touchdowns on run plays, including the Owls only touchdown in the Boca Raton Bowl. Alex Carling and Chris Myarick are both redshirt sophomores and former walk-ons. Each has seen limited action, mostly on special teams. The 2015 recruiting class brought in Jake Robinson who spent the season redshirting. Joining the squad as walk-ons last year were Dominic Nigrelli and Baily Raymond. Added to the mix is redshirt sophomore transfer Hez Trahan. A Philadelphia native, Trahan redshirted at Pitt in 2014 after a stellar career at Roman Catholic. He sat out in 2015 before enrolling at Temple.

Jones benefits from a steady combination of long snapper Corey Lerch and holder Tom Bradway. Lerch has held down that spot since joining the team as a walk-on in 2014. Bradway redshirted in 2014. A third specialist who earned a spot as a walk-on in 2014 is punter Alex Starzyk. The strong-legged junior improved his punting average by four yards from 2014 with a 42.4-yard average in 2015.

The 2016 recruiting class sees the additions of Branden Mack (Wyncote, Pa. / Cheltenham), Steve Petrick (North Huntingdon, Pa. / Norwin), Taiyir Wilson (Schwenksville, Pa. / Perkiomen Valley / Fork Union), and Kenny Yeboah (Allentown, Pa. / Parkland Senior).

Redshirt junior LS Josh Lang and redshirt freshman K Jake Geiger continue to push the incumbents. A.J. Lenkaitis (Exeter, Pa. / Wyoming Area) and Dan McDonald (Warrington, Pa. / Archbishop Wood) were added as walk-ons this spring.

consideration for the Lou Groza Award. Junior Austin Jones set the school record last season in field goals made (23) and points by a kicker (113). In fact, he had the same number of field goals and FG percentage as Memphis’ Jake Elliott, who was the unanimous all-conference selection.

The fullback position is manned by two converted linebackers who each walked on to the squad in 2014. Redshirt junior Nick Sharga was the only Temple player to see action on both sides of the ball in 2015. He earned the respect of his peers, being given a single-digit jersey (#4) for his toughness. Redshirt freshman Rob Ritrovato was converted to fullback after contributing on special teams as a true freshman in 2014. He suffered an injury in the season opener and was forced to redshirt.

DEFENSIVE LINE Elijah Robinson Defensive Run Game Coord. / Defensive Line 3rd Year with Temple Once again, Elijah Robinson leads the “Wildboyz,” the nickname for Temple’s defensive line. Despite the losses of Matt Ioannidis, Hershey Walton and Nate D. Smith, the defensive line remains deep and talented.

The end position has three players who each spent at least one season as a starter. Redshirt senior Haason Reddick started opposite Smith last season and was the unit’s most productive player. He registered career highs in tackles (45), TFLs (12.5) and sacks (5.0) en route to all-conference honors. Praise Martin-Oguike, also a redshirt senior, emerged as a playmaker in 2014. In the past two years he has 67 tackles, 19.0 TFLs, and a team-leading 11.5 sacks and eight forced fumbles. Senior Sharif Finch has been hampered by knee injuries, but has played through them to contribute 78 tackles, 4.5 TFLs, 5.0 sacks, and 2 interceptions over the past three seasons.

Joining them on the outside are redshirt senior Avery Ellis and junior Jacob Martin. Both have played in 25 games over the past two seasons and have provided quality snaps on defense while being core special teams players.

The Owls redshirted five defensive linemen last season. Three recruits - Josiah Bronson, DeAndre Kelly, and Dana Levine and walk-ons Prosper Mekoba and Jeromy Reichner, spent the year getting bigger and stronger under the eye of the strength and conditioning coaches. Bronson was hurt early in camp and is still recovering from season-ending surgery.

The anchor on the inside is expected to be senior Averee Robinson. Robinson shared the starting spot with Walton last season and finished with career-highs in tackles and TFLs.

Making the transition to defense this season will be a pair of tight ends: redshirt junior Cole Boozer and redshirt freshman Roy Pugh.

Redshirt sophomore Michael Dogbe and redshirt junior Julian Taylor provide some experience. Dogbe had three tackles in the bowl game against Toldeo and flashed brilliance at times throughout the season. Taylor was impressive in camp but suffered an injury in the opener last year and missed the remainder of the season.

The 2016 recruiting class sees the additions of Dan Archibong [Springfield (Pa.) High], Karamo Dioubate (Philadelphia / Prep Charter), Quincy Roche (Randallstown, Md. / New Town), Chris Tucker (Jackson, Tenn. / Trinity Christian Academy), and Greg Webb [Sicklerville, N.J. / Timber Creek / Hutchinson (Kan.) LINEBACKERS Mike Siravo Passing Game Coord. / Linebackers 5th Year with Temple At the linebacker position, Mike Siravo will be responsible for finding a replacement for Temple’s all-time leading tackler Tyler Matakevich. The starters all have experience, but the depth is still unproven. Manning the middle is senior Jarred Alwan. He served as a spot starter as an underclassman but secured the starting MLB role last season. Alwan responded with 74 tackles (second only to Matakevich), including 7.0 TFLs, and a career-high 1.5 sacks. He also ranked among the conference leaders with 4 forced fumbles. Redshirt seniors Stephaun Marshall (14 starts) and Avery Williams (12 starts) shared the WLB duties for the past two seasons. Marshall is coming off a career high in tackles, interceptions and forced fumbles. Williams had his best season as a tackler and added his first career interception in 2015.

Todd Jones and Chris Smith are talented walk-ons who have earned playing time on special teams. Zack Mesday walked on in 2014 and has spent the better part of the past two seasons rehabbing an injury. Kevin DeCaesar and Mike DiFrancesco joined the team as walk-ons in 2015 and continue to develop.

Redshirt junior Nick Sharga had a chance to spell Alwan in the middle on occasion in 2015. He continues to improve and is expected to have an added role this season.

The 2016 recruiting class sees the additions of Shaun Bradley (Mt. Holly, N.J. / Rancocas Valley), Sam Franklin (Crystal River, Fla. / Citrus / East Coast Prep), Isaiah Graham-Mobley (King of Prussia, Pa. / Upper Merion), and William Kwenkeu (Waldorf, Md. / St. Charles).

CORNERBACKS Fran Brown Assoc. Head Coach / Defensive Backs 6th Year with Temple Fran Brown will once again tutor the defensive backs. Like the other levels of the defense, Brown is tasked with replacing a player (Tavon Young) headed to the NFL. Junior Sean Chandler has started virtually every game of his college career. Last season, he led all Owl defensive backs with 65 tackles, 5.5 TFLs, 1.0 sacks, a team-high four interceptions and 10 pass break ups. Chandler returned two interceptions for touchdowns and finished the year as a second team All-American Athletic Conference choice.

Junior Cequan Jefferson is a talented athlete who has contributed on special teams while improving in the secondary. Redshirt sophomore Derrek Thomas is making the conversion from wide receiver.

Redshirt senior Nate Hairston and redshirt junior Artrel Foster gave the Owls valuable snaps in the secondary last season, whether spotting Young (who nursed an injury) or adding nickel coverage. Hairston was in just his first full season on defense after being converted from wide receiver. Both are among Temple’s best special teams performers.

Jarrid Satterfield and David Sweetman were added as walkons in 2014, while Eriq Fadahunsi joined the squad in 2015. The 2016 recruiting class sees the additions of Kimere Brown [Penns Grove (N.J.) One returner with starting experience is redshirt senior Nate L. Smith. Smith has seen action in each of the past two seasons, but was pressed into a starting role in 2015 and did not disappoint. In seven starts, he contributed 54 tackles (fourth on the team) and his first career interception.

Jeremiah Atoki and Kyle Baum both spent the 2015 season redshirting. Atoki came to Temple as part of the 2015 recruiting class and Baum joined as a walk-on.

Delvon Randall was the only true freshman to earn playing time on defense. He played in all 14 games on defense and special teams.

The 2016 recruiting class sees the additions of Keyvone Bruton (Norfolk, Va. / Lake Taylor), Amir Tyler [Lakewood (N.J.) High], and Benny Walls (Cinnaminson, N.J. / St. Joe’s Prep).

Redshirt sophomore Jyquis Thomas was among the Owls top special teams players last season and will be given an opportunity to play in the secondary in 2016.

2016 Spring Prospectus

2015 Review The 2015 season was a historic success for the Temple football program. Starting with a defining win against an in-state foe and ending with a school record-tying 10 wins, the Owls generated national attention and set attendance records.

A school record 7-0 start propelled the Owls to their highest ranking of the season, #21, and a showdown against #9 Notre Dame. Another sellout crowd was expected at Lincoln Financial Field, but once again, Temple exceeded expectations. ESPN brought its nationally acclaimed College Gameday Show to Philadelphia while ABC scheduled this matchup of two Top 25 teams into the national primetime slot.

Coming off a 6-6 season in 2014 but not earning a bowl bid, Temple began the year fueled by the motto “leave no doubt.” Fortunately it acted not just as a slogan but an attitude, enforced by a talented and hungry group of seniors. Headlining that group: captains Tyler Matakevich, Kyle Friend, Matt Ioannidis and Tavon Young. Also included were Shahbaz Ahmed, Eric Lofton, John Christopher, Robby Anderson, Brandon Shippen, Saledeem Major, Hershey Walton, Nate D. Smith, Alex Wells, and Will Hayes. Each led individually within their respective units and collectively with a common objective.

The spotlight shined bright on Temple and an upset was in the making. The Owls stood toe-to-toe with the Fighting Irish and held a slim lead, 20-17, with under 3:00 to go. A late Notre Dame touchdown may have handled Temple its first loss, but the falter wouldn’t taint what the Owls had accomplished in the season’s first half. After a school record four weeks in the Top 25, Temple fell out briefly before back-to-back wins at the end of the regular season against #21 Memphis (31-12) and UConn (27-3) catapulted them back. Those wins, in which the Owls defense did not allow a touchdown, brought Temple to a school record-tying 10 victories. It also left the Owls with a 7-1 conference record and the American Athletic Conference East Crown, not to mention a trip south to face Houston for the league title.

The goals were clearly defined by head coach Matt Rhule. He wanted Temple to compete for the American Athletic Conference Championship, play in a bowl game, and be ranked in the Top 25 at the end of the season. All seemed like lofty goals in the spring, but by season’s end and with all three accomplished, there was also disappointment. Along the way, the most important thing was achieved – a culture shift for Temple football. Observers now wanted, and expected, more.

Losses in the American Athletic Conference Championship Game (24-13 at Houston) and in a rain-soaked Marmot Boca Raton Bowl (32-17 vs. Toledo) could not dampen the accomplishments of the 2015 Temple Owls.

One of the first steps was beating in-state rival Penn State on opening day. In front of a sold out Lincoln Financial Field crowd of 69,176, the Nittany Lions, who held the upper hand in this matchup for the past 74 years and 39 contests, got off to an early 10-0 lead. The Owls stormed back and pasted Penn State to the tune of 27-10. People took notice. A Power 5 team was beaten. Temple received Top 25 votes following that game and every week thereafter.

Both the ECAC and the Philadelphia Sportswriters Association selected the Temple Owls as their 2015 Team of the Year, and Matt Rhule was recognized as coach of the year (ECAC, Maxwell Tri-State). A conference-high ten players earned all-conference honors, including seven first-team selections. Tyler Matakevich became the most celebrated football player in school history. The senior linebacker earned national defensive player of the year (Chuck Bednarik Award and Bronko Nagurski Trophy), was a consensus All-America selection (and Temple’s first defensive first-team All-America), and American Athletic Conference defensive player of the year.

More important to the growth of this team was the following week’s matchup. In Cincinnati against the preseason favorite to win the American Athletic Conference, Temple built a 22-point lead and defeated the Bearcats 34-26. RB Jahad Thomas, who eventually earned first team all-conference honors, flashed his big play ability, scoring twice in the span of 1:34 to open the second half. A school record tying 100-yard touchdown return on the opening kickoff and a 56yard run on the Owls next possession took the wind out of the Bearcats’ sellout crowd.

Most important, the Owls had 25 players dress for the bowl game having already earned a degree. Among the 76 bowl participants, just one school, national champion Alabama, had more.
