EARLY CHILDHOOD CENTER GROWING EVERY DAY IN EVERY WAY

COMMUNITY | CREATIVITY | CURIOSITY Our Early Childhood Center provides each child with an environment created to stimulate curiosity which in turn fuels learning and imagination. Our curriculum helps instill in each child a lifelong love of learning and community. From the moment children enter our Early Childhood Center at Temple Emanuel of Beverly Hills, we present incredible opportunities to develop positive self-esteem, creativity and independence. We offer a wide range of activities carefully designed for our students, working closely with parents to maximize the unique potential of each child. Our director, staff, and clergy are committed to helping children understand Jewish values, customs, and traditions in an environment that stimulates learning and imagination. Our integrated curriculum approach includes science, art, math, language arts, dance, cooking, stories and song, with classrooms designed with themed activity centers around those essential topics. This also includes engaging activities designated for sensory stimulation, science, dress-up, art, puzzles and blocks. Our Center includes a spacious outdoor play yard with swings, slides, climbing structures, tricycles, balls, sand toys, art activities, small motor table activities as well as easels for painting to keep your children active throughout the day.

PARENT INVOLVEMENT One of the keys to our success is ongoing communication between staff and parents. •

We welcome parent involvement and provide opportunities for participation in and out of the classroom.

Parents are kept informed through bulletins and e-mails, with weekly lesson plans posted for viewing.

Families are always encouraged to speak directly with our director and teachers regarding any aspect of their child’s experience at the Early Childhood Center.

ACCREDITATION We are accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). We are affiliated with the Builders of Jewish Education (BJE) who work to foster excellence in school programming.

What does accreditation mean? The NAEYC administers the largest and most widely recognized national, voluntary, professionally-sponsored accreditation system for all types of early childhood schools and child care centers. NAEYC is the nation’s largest organization of early childhood educators, where only 8% of ECC programs across the country earn NAEYC accreditation.
