In the Old West, a man robbed a bank in El Paso and rode south. The sheriff quickly formed a posse and they captured him in a small cantina near the Mexican border, but he didn’t have the money. The sheriff decided to interrogate him, but the robber only spoke Spanish, so they got the bartender to translate. Sheriff, through translator: “Where’s the money?” Bank robber, through translator: “I’ll never tell you.” The sheriff puts his revolver to the bank robber’s head. “Now, tell me where the money is!” Bank robber (in Spanish): “I hid it under the bridge south of town!” Translator: “He says he’s not afraid to die.”

Truckers Against Predators Truckers Against Predators is a network of truck drivers, parents and concerned citizens who advocate for the safety of America’s children every day. They work tirelessly to expose these predators while collaborating with both law enforcement and legislators to influence law and crime standards for child predators. The team monitors social media platforms, chat rooms, websites, games & forums. They are on the lookout for suspicious questions, conversations and connections. These trained adult volunteers act as decoys, connecting with suspected criminals, engaging with them in a detailed process and setting a meeting place and time. The police are called on every case. TAP meets the alleged predator and confronts them live on video. The goal is that the exposure and evidence leads to an immediate arrest & public awareness.

adequately protect children from these sick individuals. In fact, some states’ laws dictate that, unless caught in the act, these types of scenarios are deemed “victim less crimes.” Anthony certainly did not agree with that, and neither would most parents. Knowing he could not keep quiet or stand by and do nothing, Anthony got to work and founded TAP. He began seeking out the predators, intercepting them at rendezvous points and exposing them on live video on social media. To date, Anthony is exposing predators almost every day of the week. The police are called ahead of time on every case. Transcripts and video footage are provided to them as evidence. Sometimes the predators are arrested, many times they aren’t. In Arizona, in particular, the city of Yuma Police Department works closely with Anthony and his team to bring justice. It is Anthony’s desire and goal to have great collaborations with every police department.

Truckers Against Predators was founded by Anthony Greene in 2017. Anthony founded TAP because he was a victim of sexual abuse himself, as a child. Anthony seen it as an opportunity to help make a difference in the world.

Over the course of the last few years, Anthony has built up a team who help identify and draw out these monsters and expose them for their planned crimes. All of this work is done on personal time and without any compensation. Hometown Heroes US Our Mission To honor those who served and to support those still serving.

Our Patch There is an old saying in the motorcycle community ... “If it’s not in your heart, don’t put it on your back.” This is why we designed every single detail of our back-patch with a specific meaning. Our organization’s colors are the same as those of our nation ... Red, White, and Blue. These colors represent the patriotism that each of us share, as evidenced by our chosen professions. The U.S. Flag is tattered, symbolizing the hardships endured while serving our communities, states, and nation ... as well as those endured by our families that stand with us. The background of the patch is white to remind us of the purity of our mission and that we represent something larger than ourselves. The patch is bordered in black. This is to honor those who are no longer with us; true heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice. The figures on the patch are silhouetted. This is to represent all who serve, or have served, regardless of gender, age, race, religion, heritage, or social status. These silhouettes are positioned in front of the flag, standing tall. This is to inform all who see our patch that we stand for our flag, we stand by our oaths, and we stand together as family ... Military, Law Enforcement, Firefighters, EMS, and other Emergency Response Personnel alike. So yes, we agree ... If it’s not in your heart, don’t put it on your back.

16

Our Organization Hometown Heroes U.S. is a motorcycle based association of men and women who understand the true definition of service. Our members are current or former Military, Law Enforcement, Firefighters, Search and Rescue, Emergency Medical Services, 911 Dispatchers, and family members who share a certain “esprit de corps” along with a passion for riding motorcycles. We are law-abiding citizens who are united in supporting and serving our communities, states, and nation. Although Hometown Heroes is not a charity, many of our members are active in numerous charitable causes within their local areas, especially those that benefit children’s organizations, our Veterans, and the families of Fallen Police Officers and other First Responders. We take great pride in our commitment to our communities and helping those in need.

Tennessee Human Trafficking BE AWARE

Human Trafficking is modern-day slavery, plain and simple. It happens here. And it has to stop.

Williamson Counties. There are a few primary reasons for this:

Consider the facts:

The first reason is related to transportation and location. Nashville is one of only six U.S. cities where 3 major interstates converge. Additionally, you can reach 75% of the U.S. market within a 2-hour flight time from Nashville, making it a strategic point for movement around the country. Nashville is also in close proximity to Atlanta – a large metropolitan area known for high amounts of human trafficking – and this adds to the transportation of victims throughout the state.

In the United States, on average, every two minutes, a child is bought or sold for sex. The average age of a child sold for sex is 13 years old. Human Trafficking is the second-fastest growing criminal industry, just behind Drug Trafficking.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) has reported that human trafficking is the second-highest rising crime in the state. This type of exploitation can begin in childhood or adolescence. Despite common The second reason that Nashville is a popular spot for misconceptions, the Polaris Project’s statistics show that human trafficking is its large tourism and sporting the majority of trafficked individuals in the country are industries. Each year since 2012, the majority of victims reported to the National Human Trafficking Hotline from Tennessee have been victims of sex trafficking. Some of the top venues for sex trafficking in the state are online ads, hotels and motels, escort services and truck stops. Other labor trafficking industries include domestic work and agriculture, although less data is available for these cases.

County, the wealthiest county in Tennessee. The one thing that all trafficking victims have in common, however, is vulnerability. Vulnerability can be defined as a simple need for love and acceptance, a toxic family dynamic, or a history of abuse. The one thing each trafficking case has in common is a relationship where trust is gained and then later exploited.

Because most of the trafficking cases reported in Tennessee do involve sex trafficking, it is important to also examine those purchasing sex from trafficked individuals. A trafficking operation in Kingsport, Tennessee targeted individuals seeking to purchase illicit sex from minors. Nearly a dozen men faced felony charges following the investigation, and those arrested included a youth leader, coach, volunteer firefighter and an Uber driver. For example, trafficking still occurs in Williamson source: freeforlikeintl.org Often, traffickers contact youth through the Internet or social media, especially with the impact of COVID-19. In the case of a 12-year-old victim (see below) who was trafficked from Texas to Tennessee in 2016, however, the trafficker simply offered the young girl a ride home. In other instances, traffickers are actually family members, close friends or ‘boyfriends.’

Tavarie Williams, 40, of Nashville, was convicted yesterday by a federal jury of sex trafficking a minor and transportation of a minor for the purpose of engaging in prostitution and criminal sexual activity, announced U.S. Attorney Don Cochran for the Middle District of Tennessee. The jury found Williams not guilty of a third count of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, after the week-long trial. According to evidence and testimony at trial, in June and July 2016, Williams picked up a 12-year old runaway girl in San Antonio, Texas and posted ads on Backpage.com advertising her for prostitution. During this time, Williams transported the girl to Memphis, Nashville and Knoxville, Tennessee for the purpose of having sex with Backpage clients. Evidence and testimony also established the Williams engaged in sexual intercourse with the 12-year-old as well. On July 29, 2016, Williams was arrested at a hotel in Franklin, Tennessee and the 12-year-old was rescued. Williams faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years and up to life in prison when he is sentenced later this year. source justice.gov

The sayings of King Lemuel contain this message, which his mother taught him. O my son, O son of my womb, O son of my vows, do not waste your strength on women, on those who ruin kings. It is not for kings, O Lemuel, to guzzle wine. Rulers should not crave alcohol. For if they drink, they may forget the law and not give justice to the oppressed. Alcohol is for the dying, and wine for those in bitter distress. Let them drink to forget their poverty and remember their troubles no more. Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves; ensure justice for those being crushed. Yes, speak up for the poor and helpless, and see that they get justice. Who can find a virtuous and capable wife? She is more precious than rubies. Her husband can trust her, and she will greatly enrich his life. She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life. She finds wool and flax and busily spins it. She is like a merchant’s ship, bringing her food from afar. She gets up before dawn to prepare breakfast for her household and plan the day’s work for her servant girls. She goes to inspect a field and buys it; with her earnings she plants a vineyard. She is energetic and strong, a hard worker. She makes sure her dealings are profitable; her lamp burns late into the night. Her hands are busy spinning thread, her fingers twisting fiber. She extends a helping hand to the poor and opens her arms to the needy. She has no fear of winter for her household, for everyone has warm clothes. She makes her own bedspreads. She dresses in fine linen and purple gowns. Her husband is well known at the city gates, where he sits with the other civic leaders. She makes belted linen garments and sashes to sell to the merchants. She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future. When she speaks, her words are wise, and she gives instructions with kindness. She carefully watches everything in her household and suffers nothing from laziness. Her children stand and bless her. Her husband praises her: “There are many virtuous and capable women in the world, but you surpass them all!” Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last; but a woman who fears the Lord will be greatly praised. Reward her for all she has done. Let her deeds publicly declare her praise.

Programs Offered Rescue Animal Welfare- ETEC is a rescue resource for farm animals and serves as one of the equine centers devoted to the care and rehabilitation of horses, pigs, goats, chickens, and other country critters. Every year, ETEC youth provide the “last chance” for dozens of abused, neglected, and abandoned farm animals who have nowhere else to go. Many of the animals find their forever homes. Humane Education - ETEC gives hundreds of participants a chance to meet our rescued animals and learn the ETEC ABCs – AWARENESS of others, BEING KIND to ourselves and each other, and COMPASSION for all. Each individual will be assigned a specific animal to care for and provide nurturing to during the course. Leadership and Mentoring Program - Due to demand we are offering a leadership and mentoring opportunity for chosen individuals. This is an essay driven application based program that allows those who chose to become farm team leads. The candidates will be involved in the upcoming seasons curriculum choices!! Raised Bed Gardening - Our participants will design and build raised beds for planting the summer flower selection. This is a team based program and all are expected to participate in the planting, maintenance and care of our gardens. Our goal is to provide our animals with nutritious food to supplement their diets. Spring/Fall Planting Schedule - In an outdoor classroom environment we will research viable crops for out upcoming season. Working in a group environment the soil prep and planting of choice vegetable crops will be implemented. Garden Maintenance - We all will commit to weeding, watering and general care of both the flower and vegetable gardens. This is a unifying and bonding process with other participating youth intent on building cooperative skills. Harvesting Schedule - We will task all participants to harvest the crops, allowing them to devise a schedule of how and when the harvest will take place. This will include making provisions for the items harvested by participation in a community farmers market. Farmers Market/Community Giving - Our Farm Teams will work directly with churches, missions and individuals for our produce Give Back Program. This year we will be providing them with an opportunity to develop our own farmers market at the ETEC farm. Building vegetable stalls, advertising, licensing to sale and distribute our produce will be on our agenda.

Tolliver’s Travels S pring is finally upon us here in East Tennessee. All the bike nights and car shows are firing off, along with some great fishing tournaments. I have been on the road all month, going to as many events as I can. One of the most interesting ones, was the opossum antique show at the fairgrounds in Sevierville. Lots of old iron at this one. Everything was at least 35 years old or older, tons of nice bikes there. I went and checked out the truck show at the stadium as well. People love their trucks. There were hundreds on display. Big to small, something for everyone. The Rod Run was last weekend down in Pigeon Forge. These guys do it right, what a show. Some of the most beautiful old cars I have ever seen. Bass Pro Shop also held a B.A.S.S. big bass tournament on Douglas Lake. I had never been to one of those. Seeing what you don’t on TV was pretty interesting. The way they take care of the fish and the pre-weighin is something that everyone should see if you’re into big bass. Pretty amazing. Now I would like to talk a little about bike nights and all the motorcycles on the

road in the evening. Things are really getting busy, so please take your time and look twice. We have a place on these roads as well. Now on to a little pet peeve of mine. You know “that guy” as well as I do. Yes, “that guy” that blows grass on the road when he mows. He doesn’t have a care in the world about the motorcycles that go sliding down the road when you hit his grass clippings. I have even went as far as stopping and saying something to “that guy.” It is so dangerous and even worse when a little wet out. So bottom line, be careful and pay attention. You come around a curve and you’re in his grass before you know it. Well that is about all for now. Remember, ride safe and enjoy the wind therapy. (Want to do your own bike night or event? You want to run an ad to build your business? I can help with that! Shoot me a message and I will personally come out to help you through the process.) “ For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north. I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.” Isaiah 14: 13-14.

Before any problem can be adequately resolved, the root must be defined and acknowledged. The verse noted from Isaiah refers to the intent of Lucifer. God created an extensive host of angelic creatures with Lucifer described as the highest ranking. He was exquisite, gifted with great wisdom, power, and influence. He was anointed as the guardian cherub and a model of perfection. So, what happened? He became prideful and corrupted, and wickedness was found in him. Lucifer lifted himself from the worshiper to the one desiring to be worshiped. Lucifer wanted God’s power. God was not pleased and threw him out, along with his followers whom he had influenced against God. Renamed Satan, the accuser, Lucifer is angry.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Ephesians 6:12
