Legal issues come along in every new product development, starting off with a general law on the design and supply of product to protecting intellectual property. The UK law on the design and supply of products is composed of a series of health and safety regulations for the product manufacture and distribute that the company has to follow and which the legal expert will cover and the general product safety and liability (GOV.UK 2020).

The company and its employees’ data will be handled and stored according to the Data Protection Act 2018 (Legislation.gov.uk 2018). Moreover, Gucci itself came up with a Code of Ethics (GUCCI 2020) available on the website, which the company follows for its ethical and legal functionality.

The new products, collections or content that the company creates are protected by law through the intellectual property (IP) rights, including patents, copyright and trademark (GUCCI 2020).
