David Good (Maidenhead, Berkshire) for the 1970 British Hill Climb Championship, fitted with a 5.5-litre Alan Smith Chevrolet. To Richard Thwaites (Dewsbury, West Yorkshire) for 1971, now using a 5-litre Chevy, and retained for 1972 when Thwaites was very successful in smaller hillclimbs. Retained again for 1973 when Thwaites used a 5.7-litre or 5.8-litre engine. Sold to Martyn Griffiths (Arley, Worcestershire) July 1974 and used in the British Hill Climb Championship in 1974 and 1975. Griffiths had a second M10B during 1975 having damaged the monocoque of one car at Pontypool at the end of April. Advertised Sep 1975 and Mar 1976, and sold to Godfrey Crompton (Tenbury Wells, Worcestershire) 1976 for hillclimbs but crashed at Loton Park August 1976. Sold still in crashed condition to Keith Cox (Halesowen, West Midlands), rebuilt and again hillclimbed. To John Peskett (Leicester) 1977 and remained unused in his collection, with 400-06(A), M10A 300-16 and other F5000s. Later to restorer Rick Hall, then to Jeffrey Pyett (Oundle, Peterborough) 1989, then Richard Eyre (Rayleigh, Essex) 1991. As any discerning car enthusiast will tell you, there are a multitude of exterior and interior protection products available to Australian motorists, but very few truly excel in quality and long term effectiveness. The United States manufactured 303 Products exterior and interior protection product range leads the world in the science of surface cleaners and protectants. These premium quality automotive car care products were derived from the development of the world’s first UV-screening surface treatments that were initially developed and perfected for NASA and the aerospace industry. As a result of this world first surface protection technology, 303 Products has set the industry standard for total UV protection on virtually any surface with their 303 Automotive Protectant, 303 Graphene Nano Spray and 303 All Surface Interior cleaner. Motorists who expect effective, easy to apply and long lasting exterior and interior vehicle protection choose 303. There are three premium quality 303 vehicle detailing products available to Australian and New Zealand motorists, 303 Automotive Protectant, 303 All Surface Interior Cleaner and the revolutionary new 303 Graphene Nano coating. Unlike other interior cleaners, 303 All surface Interior Cleaner can be used on almost any surface including vinyl, plastics, rubber, fabrics, leather and even on LCD screens. It is gentle and safe, but still has the strength to clean away tough stains. It lifts dirt from the surface when sprayed on and wipes off residue free. This product also helps to repel dust and dirt, and leaves a clean natural appearance on the surface after its application. After prepping the surface with interior cleaner 303 Automotive Protectant can be applied to create tough UV barrier protecting against the harsh Australian sun which over time can cause fading and cracking. 303 Automotive Protectant product restores lost colour and lustre from vehicle interior surfaces while also repelling dust, soiling and stains and lasts up to four to ten times longer than competing products in the market. 303 Automotive Protectant rejuvenates and protects tyres, bodywork, plastic bumpers, guard flares, trims and lenses, car bras, tonneau covers, chrome and alloy wheels, providing outstanding UV, dust and water resistance. When combined with the revolutionary 303 Graphene nano coating, these products create new-look shine and long-term vehicle exterior protection for up to 12 months.
2. The most exciting new addition to the 303 Products automotive range takes car owners to the next step beyond ceramic, with the 303 Graphene Nano Spray Coating. Transforming a matt shine to an outstanding gleaming shine, this state of the art vehicle protection product offers more than 12 months of premium protection. This unparalleled chemical formulation actually lowers vehicle surface temperature, thereby reducing waterspotting. The formulation sheds water quickly and can be used on any surface including wheels, trim and glass without leaving any residue. The 303 Graphene Nano Spray can also be applied in direct sunlight and on any colour vehicle. 303 Products represent the new generation of car interior and exterior products that need to be used to be believed. These technologically advanced products have transformed the formerly time consuming, expensive and labour intensive process of maintaining vehicle exterior and interior shine and stain resistance. The 303 Products range is available from quality automotive aftermarket parts and accessories stores nationwide. If you can’t find them, ask for them. To find out more, visit www.303products.com.au.
STA-BIL IS THE WORLD’S TOP SELLING FUEL STABILISER August 11, 2023 - Fuel stabilisation is extremely important for people who own valuable and infrequently driven vintage, sports, racing or collectible cars along with motorcycles, boats and any petrol powered equipment engines. STA-BIL is the American formulated and manufactured world leader in fuel stabilisation products. STA-BIL has built a reputation for excellence in ensuring easy engine starting even when motors have been idle for long periods of time. It is important to note that Regular Unleaded Petrol (ULP) begins to break down in as little as 60 days, while High Octane Unleaded (98+) can start to break down in as little as 21 days. Fuel breakdown reduces octane levels along with the formation of engine deteriorating gum and varnish. Additionally, all Ethanol fuel blends are hygroscopic, meaning that they attract and absorb moisture, resulting in reduced octane levels, contributing to fuel system corrosion and “white rust” within a vehicle’s fuel system. STA-BIL is a blend of scientific additives that act together to prevent fuel from degrading and oxidising during prolonged storage. It acts as a protective wrapper around the fuel molecules so they cannot combine with oxygen or other contaminants to corrupt the fuel. STA-BIL treated fuel will perform as though it had been freshly pumped into the fuel tank straight from the refinery pipeline. When added to fresh fuel, STA-BIL offers several major advantages:
Keeps the fuel fresh for at least 12 months (or a double dose for 24 months of fuel protection) ensuring smooth engine starting
Protects the fuel system against corrosion and white rust
Protects fuel against moisture contamination
Protects engines against gum and varnish build up
Eliminates the need to drain fuel
Eliminates environmental issues with the disposing of bad fuel
Maintains optimum engine performance Easy to use “Squeeze Measure” bottles
Metric bottle measurements for Australian applications
There are many petrol powered engines that sit idle for long periods of time, not only in cars but also in the marine sector, with boats tending to be used regularly only at certain times of the year. This also applies to seasonal agricultural, farming and general home and garden maintenance equipment.
2.
Fuel for these engines tends to be stored for long periods of time, lending itself to octane break down and moisture contamination, particularly when tanks are stored at half or quarter full capacity. STA-BIL is offered in three handy fuel stabiliser product bottle sizes, 118 ml to treat 38 litres, 236 ml to treat 76 litres and a 473 ml bottle to treat 150 litres of fuel. A specific STA-BIL Marine Formula is also available to protect expensive boat engines in a 236 ml bottle that treats up to 300 litres of fuel. Common misconceptions when it comes to fuel storage and preservation: Tank draining - never gets 100% of fuel out of a tank or the fuel lines / pumps / injectors / carburettors. Leaving a quarter tank of fuel in a car or storage container - the more air, the faster the contamination. Draining and replacing fuel - not easy with cars and boats, near impossible to dispose of in an environmentally safe manner Running an engine every few weeks - does nothing for protecting the fuel in the tank. Make no mistake, bad fuel can and does destroy petrol powered engines, STA-BIL ensures that this will not be the case when used for the stored or tanked fuel for cars, motorcycles, boats and general petrol motorised equipment engines. STA-BIL also offers a small engine range of protective products including a Fast-Fix small engine treatment and Small Engine Pro multi-system additive for cleaning out gum and varnish, along with the STA-BIL Ceramic Pro-Guard and Blade Guard product designed for mowers and trimmers. This premium quality STA-BIL fuel stabilisation product range is readily available from leading Australian automotive parts and accessories stockists. If you cannot find it, be sure to ask for it.
Kevin Bartlett retires…
Kevin Bartlett (born 25 May 1940 in Coffs Harbour, New South Wales), often known by his nickname "KB", is an Australian former open wheel and touring car racing driver who won the Australian Drivers' Championship in 1968 and 1969, as well as the prestigious Bathurst 1000 in 1974. Bartlett was named in Wheels magazine's annual yearbook in 2004 as one of Australia's 50 greatest race drivers. He placed #15 on the list.
Kevin has worked for the VHRR for many years as a Driving Standards officer, a task aimed at keeping Racing Drivers safe and fair. Often daunting, Kevin pursued this task with enthusiasm and wise counsel.
The VHRR sincerely thanks Kevin for his time.... Kevin Bartlett
Bartlett first arrived on the Australian racing scene in 1958 when he competed in the Touring Car Scratch Race at Bathurst, driving a 950cc Morris Minor.
Over the next few years, Bartlett progressed through the levels of Australian motorsport before his big break came when he was hired to drive for 1960 Australian Grand Prix winner Alec Mildren in the Tasman Series of open wheel racing. Bartlett proved competitive in this series and would become a fixture of Alec Mildren Racing for the next decade racing a long line of open-wheel racing cars and Alfa Romeo touring cars. Bartlett won the 1965 International 6 Hour Touring Car Race for the Mildren team, driving an Alfa Romeo TI Super with Frank Gardner and he also won the 1967 Surfers Paradise Four Hour, driving a similar car with Doug Chivas.
Bartlett got his first works drive via motoring journalist and part time rally driver Evan Green at Bathurst driving a Morris Mini de Luxe for the BMC team in the 1965 Armstrong 500.
At the 1967 Bathurst Easter meeting, Bartlett became the first driver to ever lap the 6.172 km mountain circuit at an average speed of over 100 mph driving a 1964 Repco Brabham BT11A Climax. In 1969 Kevin Bartlett took his Mildren-Alfa Romeo to the win at the Macau Grand Prix for Formula Libre cars. Bartlett considers the win as one of the highlights of his motor racing career. He returned to the event in 2019 for the 50th anniversary of his win. In 1970, Bartlett traveled to the United States to compete in the USAC Championship (aka Indy Car) series, attempting and failing to qualify for the Indianapolis 500. Bartlett competed in three other Indy Car races, but failed to finish.

peter Abood - Vk Commodore
Driver - peter Abood, this meet at phillip Island will be the first full outing for the driver in the group A/ group C category.
Started racing late in life but is definitely living the dream.
Car 55 Group A and Group C category. - This VK (upgraded to VL later in life) was one of the first Group A cars built by Peter Brock’s Mobil HDT team. Chassis 13 is one of the early pre production shells, it was built as the teams prototype and T car and was raced by Peter Brock and John Farrell in Western Australia Monroe-Wylie 300 on October 20 1985. Farrell famously swapped the Marlboro 25 VK Big banger that he had purchased from Brock for this VK which was upgraded to VL Spec and then raced in 1987 and 1988 during the WA rounds of the ATCC. Farrell also ran the car in 1988 in the support races for the Australian GP in Adelaide.
Adrian moyle - Camaro
I purchased the Camaro in mid 2022 from greg Feeman from WA who campaigned successfully for many years.
My first event was in November 22 at Phillip Island blowing up the clutch on Saturday. So back to the workshop for many hours of development with my great Friend Garry Brown who helped me all those years ago in the rally car. Garry has a group N Camaro and has campaigned Cortina’s Holden torana XU-1 so his input has been so valuable.
So new clutch new brake set up and gearbox we were well underway for a better season in 2023. I think we finished top 10 at this event last year. 3rd overall for Winton festival of speed. Awarded driver of the meeting over 2 litre for Sandown historic event and finally awarded 3 at Island magic at the end of last year. Overall a fantastic year learning more about myself as a driver and also about how to get more out of the car with driving coaching from our good friend Darren Hossack who has also had a fair bit of input into the car.
Overall I am a very privileged bloke that loves this category and the wonderful people involved in the HTCAV.

F5000
a rch
David Crabtree - march F5000 most satisfying life racing cars from 17 starting in karts and then a front engine F3 car in the late 60’s and early 70’s. A lifelong status of being an also ran.
A Mk4 Cheetah chassis and body bought from Brian Shead in 72 was built up with a Ford for F3 and ran to 79 with many mods into the F2 status. Mostly with redundant Cheetah parts from Brian. A sliding Mk 6 tub and panels bought from Sheady again built up, and running a BMW in the 80’s. Well, that combo got a 3rd in F2 championship.
I still have those cars and run in Historics.
Late 80’s I went speedcar racing with some podium places and the tumbles that go with it. 90.s was family time with 3 kids to feed so cars were parked. 2000 arrived and back to speedway and ran up to 3 midgets/speedcars as a team, more podiums and a first midget drive given to Brad Sweet who became a named driver in the USA and Aus.
2010 arrived and the body was giving up to the rigours of the physical forces of dirt racing. So a bit of driver management took over. 2014 woke up one day, back in shed and Cheetah MK4 came out. Raced for 4 years, then a Ralt RT4 which became hard on body again like a midget.
Then a mate told me to get a F5000, which I bought. Well, what a ride that is. So the Cheetah MK 6 came to the fore again for short track use. One day again I woke up and bought a Group Nc Capri from the famed Lawrie Nelson.
Now that’s fun. Took the under 3 litre Ford race from the Tassie boys at Baskerville in 22.
So the Big car is a March F5000 that Ray Gibbs bought out to Aus in the 80’s to run the F5000 series at the time. It then sat in a museum for a period. At the start it had some teething problems, but now well sorted out. The best thing to drive besides a period F1 Williams.
That’s my life, still doing it.

Budweiser - Can Am - Spider Racing history: Commenced racing in 2001.
Occupation: Manufacturer and distributor for Specialised race fittings including the American Phenix AN fittings and braided line. SMART-0 Sump Plugs and Gibbs Brand Lubricant/Penetrant which is fantastic on MAGNESIUM and all metals that you wish to preserve.
Car Type - Originally Lola T332CS F5000 chassis converted into a Can Am 'Spider Car' NF-11 Year - 1978 Competition Number - 3 Competition Class - Q & R Sports Cars
History - Paul Newman (the actor) and Bill Freeman in 1977 formed Newman Freeman Racing.
Two NF-11 Lola T332CS (F5000 Tub) were purchased and taken to a little old garage in St Barbara, California where they were converted to Cal Am, and "Spider Cars" were born. The cars were built to take on the relaunch of the Can Am series in the USA. In the first year, 1979 the prize money was $1million. Can Am was where the biggest money was at, and attracted the best drivers to the prospect of winning the prestigious Sterling Silver Citicorp Cup.
This is the only remaining "Spider Car" in the world.
Budweiser sponsored the cars/team became known as the "Budweiser King of Beers" cars Initial driver were Keke Rosberg and Elliot Forbes-Robinson. Later team drivers included Bobby Rahal, Patrick Depailler, Randolph Townseni.
NF-11 In 1979, two NF-11 Spyder was produced. NF-11 featured a Chevrolet V8 engine, and the car war still based on the Lola T333CS. Like 1978, the Can-Am season started at Road Atlanta Keke Rosberg won the race in one of the Newman-Freeman Racing NF-11s, whilst Forbes-Robison finished third. The team was almost as successful in the next race, held at Charlotte Motor Speedway; ForbesRobinson finished second, and Rosberg came third.
For Mosport, three cars were entered; Rosberg, ForbeRobinson, and Randolph Townsend; Forbes-Robinson took another second place, whilst Rosberg and Townsend both crashed out (on lap 28 and 25 respectively) of the race. Townsend didn't race at Mid-Ohio, but Rosberg took second, and Forbes-Robinson took third. Townsend returned at Watkins-Glen, and Rosberg took his second win of the season, however, Townsend was classified 13th, with a broken oil line forcing him out after 30 laps, and ForbesRobinson also hit trouble after 18 laps, and was classified 20th.
Road America was an unsuccessful event for the team as all three drivers retired; Townsend with a blown engine after 20 laps, Rosberg with valve issue 3 after 19 laps, and Forbes-Robinson with suspension failure after 15 laps.

I have been involved with the BMW brand most of my career. I started as an apprentice BMW mechanic in Brisbane in 1982 at the then BMW Dealership Annand & Thompson, then City BMW and Brisbane BMW where I became of the first 7 BMW Mater technicians in Australia in 1988.
In 1991 I travelled to the UK as a BMW Master Technician to work for various BMW dealers around London for 7 years, then joined McLaren Cars as a Customer Care Technician on the F1 Road car. I spent 7 more years with McLaren working within the F1 road car and SLR development program before returning to Australia in 2004.
Not being able to find a suitable technical role here in Australia, I was offered to enter the sales world with BMW. This new challenge evolved into sales management roles with Lamborghini Brisbane and Lotus Cars QLD.
In 2020, I opened my own Classic Car restoration business Modern Classic Motorsport Pty Ltd BmW JpS e30 325i group “A” #25
Running #75 in Heritage Touring Cars in 2024 (due to #25 being used by Rick Allen and his Longhurst B&H BMW M3.).
Frank Gardner’s JPS BMW Team built two 325i e30 BMW’s over 1985 and 1986. These cars where raced by Tony Longhurst in the ATCC and AMSCAR series ’85 and ’86 with much success before the M3 was introduced in 1987. With the two 325i’s only ever being on track at Amaroo Park at the first round of the 1986 ATCC (Better Brakes) 2/3/86. Gary Rogers running in the second 325i as Jim Richards chose to run in his 85’ championship winning 635csi. Logbook entries for the cars were hard to confirm in those days and the two cars were available through the 1986 season until one of the cars was sold to NZ in late ’86 and remains there to this day. My car has also spent time in NZ racing and returned to Australia in 2000.
I purchased the car in early 2023 from the estate of the late David Harris who campaigned the car for many years in Heritage Touring Cars. David was a very close friend and I was his race mechanic for most of his motorsport adventures with this and the many other BMW’s he had in his collection. It was a real honour to become the current custodian of this car with the Harris’s family’s blessing for my passion to continue racing this beautiful ex Tony Longhurst 325i JPS Grp “A”, a true piece of Australian motorsport history.
Meon Nehrybecki - Supra Star
Classic European sports and racing cars run deep in Meon Nehrybecki’s family but the latest addition to his garage is spice from a different source.
Fast cars have been ever-present in Meon Nehrybecki’s life. The former rally driver grew up amongst Europe’s finest exotics, the kind usually confined to bedroom-wall posters and Cannonball Run movies. “My father Henry was the official service agent for Lamborghini in Australia,” he says, referring to the famed Lolita Automobile Developments workshop in Sydney’s Hornsby Heights. “So you can imagine the kind of cars my brother and I saw every day. Miuras, Countachs, Silhouettes; my father worked on everything that came from Lamborghini’s Sant’Agata factory. Whether it was predelivering new vehicles or major repairs or full restorations, my father did them all.”
Most people would be awed by such a workplace. Not so the Nehrybecki boys.
“Seeing those cars was part of our everyday lives but it was never lost on us they were special, mainly because they were so closely connected to dad.”
Known to many, Henry Nehrybecki was a long-standing fixture in Australia’s motor racing scene. His engineering imprint can be found on a catalogue of famous machines, from Matich racers to the Colin Bond sports sedan. He even designed, developed and built his own sports car, the Lolita. It was inevitable Meon and his brother Jerome would follow their father’s automotive groove, becoming skilled technicians on the same prized Italian supercars. Their journeys on the tools included opportunities other technicians could only dream of.
“We spent long periods working at the Lamborghini factory in Sant’Agata, Italy,” he says. “I’ve got so many great memories. We were trained on everything the brand built and colleagues like legendary company Test Driver Valentino Balboni became lifelong friends.”
But a different path in the motor trade came Meon’s way in the ‘90s when a door opened with German marque Mercedes-Benz. He grabbed it, turning his hand to new-car sales and then sales management, later going on to run own his own Mercedes-Benz dealership in Sydney. It invariably sparked a love for the three-pointed star’s faster offerings, especially it’s DTM creations.
“I managed to find the matching pair of 190 E Group A racing cars that competed in the 1986 Bathurst 1000. Hemlut Marko of Red Bull F1 Racing fame campaigned them under his RSM Marko team. Andrew Miedecke and Jörg van Ommen raced one of them and Denny Hulme drove the other with Franz Klammer. After I located and bought the pair, I sold Andrew his ’86 car – he still owns it today – and I’ve almost finished
restoring the Denny Hulme car. In fact, it’s one of the first, if not the first 190 E Group A car built by Mercedes- Benz.”
The 190 E bug didn’t stop there. “I later came across one of the last factory AMG DTM racers in Germany. It was built by Mercedes-Benz Motorsport for the ’91 season and ran in MSJet Racing’s yellow-and-white colours before returning to the factory team for ’92 as the T-car for Klaus Ludwig and Bernd Schnieder. That car’s now with me in Sydney and, along with the Group A 190 E, it’s getting ready to hit the local historic racing circuit.”
Fast-forward a few years and the chance to acquire a Sydney Toyota dealership brought with it new opportunities, including classic racing cars.
“I remember watching John Smith race the Group A Toyota Supra Turbo in the late ‘80s and early ‘90s. Joining Toyota connected me to John and it didn’t take long for the topic of this car to surface. But it took a lot longer to convince him to part with it!”
Adding the ex-Smith Supra Turbo was a coup for Nehrybecki. Chassis number 0000801 is a rare Group A-specification Toyota Supra Turbo A (model series MA70). It was built by the factory-supported TOM’S team in Japan during 1988, the last of only seven circuit-racing versions built by the long-standing team. Toyota Team Europe built four rally versions, bringing the total of factory-built Group A Supras to just 11.
Constructed to contest Japanese domestic racing and the 1988 World Touring Car Championship, Supra 0000801 raced in its famous blue-coloured Fujitsu Ten livery during its time in Japan. Shortly after it was exported to Australia to be raced by Smith and Toyota Team Australia.
The sleek 500-plus horsepower coupe contested the 1989 Australian Touring Car Championship along with two Bathurst 1000 races (1989, 1990) and the 1990 Sandown 500.
The Supra’s build quality is impressive. Its original Fujitsu Ten blue paintwork is still visible in its interior and undercarriage, and looks fresh. It’s testament to the care it’s been given during its competition career.
“It’s sensational to drive,” says Nehrybecki. “It has a tonne of torque. My first outing was at Phillip island last year and it’s right at home in the faster corners.”
Is there a favourite in his fast-growing stable? “That’s like picking a favourite child,” he says, leaning up against the Group A Supra. “I love them all but I’m becoming quite attached to the Supra. I can’t wait for more time behind the wheel.”

FR500C mustang - graham Bell
my short motorsport history. I was a late starter. In 1984 I bought my first Mustang, joined the Mustang Owners Club of which I am a Life Member. At the time I was Building my printing business “Hornet Press” and had little spare time. In the mid nineties a few of us club members began a Motorsport group called Mustang Racing. We began to transform our road cars into track cars and we competed at PIARC sprints and aligned ourselves with other clubs running Motorsport events. We also ran teams at 6 hour events at Winton and then Phillip Island. I was running a 1965 Mustang fastback (Shelby replica) which I still have.
I have also had a few starts in SportSedans at island Magic. In 1997 I was invited to be co driver for Craig Dean (Mustang Motorsport). That year we were 14th outright & won the Rookie Trophy. We went on to be 2nd outright and 3rd outright in later
years, as well as many other Targa plates. I ran 11 years with Craig and I ran my Fastback for 4 years. With 15 Targas to my name I was inducted into Targa Hall of fame 2016.
The FR500C Mustang was imported into Australia in 2016 and was slightly modified to suit the criteria for a CAMS logbook. The FR is a 2005 factory built race car of which only 28 were built. They were sold through Ford dealerships for US$125000 and later became known as “Boy Racer” as the target buyers were amateur racers. This car was campaigned in the USA by Roush Racing in 2005.
Very little history can be found after that year. I have run the FR at a number of track days. 2022 Festival of Speed 5 litre touring class. Challenge Bathurst 2022/2023.
Very much looking forward to being on the track again this year with the 5 litre tourers.
David James #80 l ola T590 Sports 2000 group R Sports
This car was sold new in 1980 in the USA, and raced continually with the SCCA until it arrived in Australia in the early 2000s. It was first raced in Australia by Mike Gehde from Queensland, and he used the car for 14 years before selling it to David Benda in Adelaide, who raced it for four years.
I purchased the car in early 2022. The Lola T590 is a Sports 2000, a category very popular in the USA and the UK in the late 1970s and 1980s. This model was the first in the category to be designed after extensive wind tunnel time, and construction is by way of a ¾ aluminium monocoque chassis with a Ford 2.0 litre OHC (Pinto) motor and Hewland Mk 9 gearbox mounted behind the driver, all covered by a fibreglass body.

In 19&8 Bobby Aylward purchased a new McLaren M6B (Chassis # 50-05) which he drove with success in the SCCA series and won the 1968 SCCA Midwest Division National A Sports Racing. Aylward won that series again in 1969 with this car.
Things started to go badly for Bobby. In 1969, he wrecked the car during a race in Oklahoma when he hit a tree. He was seriously injured as was the car. The remains of his McLaren were given to his mechanic, Ernie McCoy.
As quoted in a McLaren registry. " The remains, minus tub, which had been damaged beyond repair, were purchased by Leonard Janke, In partnership with Craig Pence, the car was rebuilt and in 2007, sold to Lila Ben Zicron in California. He raced the car for a few years and sold it in Europe without provenance or ownership trail. Ben Zicron then built another MG with some original parts, which retained the provenance of the original car. He raced this car for several years as 50-05."
The car was sold to Bob Harborow in 2016, and has been progressively improved in its originality, and issued with full FIA papers for international competition, Bobby Aylward never did completely recover from his injuries, but he continued his work in the oil industry, and sadly in 1978, at the age of 43, Robby was murdered during a gun deal that must have gone terribly wrong.

k ris van der Borgh - Volvo
Thank you for the wonderful welcome to a brilliant and exciting event.
This will be my very first time racing our Volvo at Phillip Island so I am incredibly nervous, excited and humbled to be able to participate in the occasion. I bought the car in 2010 with the aim of restoring the vehicle and competing in the Heritage Touring Cars category Group C and A.
Along the journey my best friend Peter Woods became equal share partners
in the car after selling his Group A Jagparts VK Commodore. We restored the vehicle together over the next five years and debuted it back to the track in May 2015 with Pete completing the driving duties.
Pete continued to race the Volvo around many Australian race tracks for the next few years with the last outing at Phillip Island circuit being in 2020.
Peter woods has since purchased the infamous Chickadee Toyota Celica , the worlds very first camera car with pilot Peter Williamson from Bathurst 1979... Continued page 44........
Bendix’s Ultimate 4WD™ Brake Upgrade Kits offer the convenience and efficiency of providing all components an owner might want to upgrade the braking performance of their four-wheel-drive in one package (available for either front or rear).
Why upgrade a four-wheel drive’s braking system? While factory braking does a satisfactory job for stock four-wheel drives, the truth is that many owners quickly add weight to their vehicles by fitting heavy accessories such as bull bars, winches, roof racks, drawer systems and other equipment. They’re also likely to fit larger tyres, which not only adds weight but increases rotating mass – this all means that a modified vehicle’s braking performance in placed under added stress.
The Ultimate 4WD™ Brake Upgrade Kits include Ultimate 4WD™ Brake Rotors, a set of Ultimate 4WD™ Brake Pads, a vehicle set of Ultimate Brake Hoses, a litre of heavy-duty brake fluid, a can of Bendix Cleanup, a tube of Ceramasil Lubricant, Bendix rotor wipes, with all contents packaged in a tough 60 litre Bendix Icebox.
Ultimate 4WD™ Brake Rotors feature four-wheel-drive specific metallurgy which increases rotor strength at elevated temperatures while also providing high wear resistance. They also have high efficiency cooling pillars,
that channel cool air into the rotor, expelling hot air faster, while additional braking performance is achieved through Bendix’s Diamond Tip Slot technology. This feature uses specially designed slots and V-shaped simples on the rotor surface to expel gasses, dirt and water more efficiently. Similarly, Bendix’s Ultimate 4WD Disc Brake Pads are engineered for extreme conditions and hardworking 4WD applications; they also feature Bendix’s premium Mechanical Retention System (MRS) for improved pad attachment strength, and a high-tech ceramic formulation that provide low dust and noise.
Rounding out the kit hardware are braided Ultimate 4WD™ Brake Hoses; these feature PTFE (Teflon®) tubing that’s wrapped in woven stainless steel 304 braid. This tough construction means they won’t expand under high pressure, ensuring a firm and responsive pedal feel.
Availability of Bendix’s Ultimate 4WD™ Brake Upgrade Kits have recently grown to suit even more four-wheel drive models including most early and late model dual cab 4x4 utilities and their wagon derivatives, along with the latest LandCruiser 300 Series vehicles. For added versatility, most kits have options to suit both standard height and plus 2” lifted vehicles. Ferrari 250 lm chassis number 5909 was delivered new to the North American Racing Team in May 1964 just in time for the 1000km of Nurburgring where it was piloted by Maglioli and Rindt. The car would subsequently go on to be campaigned by NART in several major international races to be piloted by some of the most famous drivers of the day including Rindt, Piper and & Surtees.
Chassis 5909 spent most of its time in the United States. After being run for a short time by Luigi Chinetti's North American Racing Team, it was owned by Bob Grossman of 'Scuderia Bear', who raced it throughout 1964. After its active career, 5909's most prominent achievement was winning the 1975 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. The current owner raced it at prominent events like the 2005 Tour Auto, where it was one of the stars of the event. Following a crash at the 2008 Le Mans Classic, it has been completely restored and made its post restoration debut at the 2013 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. Engine

Continued from page 27.......Doug Clark and Steven Land also entered the car at Bathurst. Pete will also be competing at the island this year with the Celica. The car was originally an incredibly controversial addition to the 1979 Hardie Ferodo 1000 Bathurst grid being basically a publicity stunt for both Volvo cars and Uniroyal tyres, entered by journalist David McKay and dual gold star winner Spencer Martin.
Accepted and encouraged by the late Ivan Stibbard and others in the ARDC as a return to the good old days of racing at the mountain with street tyres and minimal modifications, the car struggled to be competitive.... Continued page but to the Uniroyal team and Volvo brands credit finished the race in overall 20th position.
Not too shabby an achievement considering the absolute dominance of one Mr Peter Brook in his Holden A9X Torana that year, winning by an incredible margin of 6 laps to the nearest competitor on the day.
PB managed to lap the Volvo 34 times on his way to that amazing achievement that will never be repeated and the last lap record not to be forgotten.
So for both Peter Woods and myself we are both still incredibly proud, humble and honoured to be able to enjoy and share a polarising piece of Bathurst history and folklore with the racing community and fans. And keeping the history alive out there on the racetrack.
Many thanks again for the opportunity to present the history of our car and hope to meet you at the track.

VACC: Powering automotive for over 100 years
Victoria is largely that of VACC as well. Shortly after the first internal combustionpowered automobile was patented in Europe, vehicles began arriving on our shores and quickly moved onto Australia’s primitive road network.
Innovative Australians, like Harley Tarrant, began building their own local cars and, from there, parts suppliers and bodymakers sprung up to support a fledgling vehicle manufacturing industry.
By 1918, Victoria boasted over 15,000 vehicles (largely imported) and 27,000 licensed drivers, and there were already hundreds of small businesses, located across metropolitan and regional areas, retailing, servicing and repairing the new transport fleet – cars, motorcycles, commercials, trucks and farm machinery.
By then, Victoria’s rapidly growing retail automotive industry – the selling, servicing and repairing of vehicles – was maturing and required direction.
Automotive business owners desperately needed an umbrella body charged with protecting and promoting their interests. Around this time, car dealers Henry and Percy Rickards foresaw that international counterparts could force burgeoning local companies out of the marketplace.
The brothers called together a collection of garage proprietors at the Bendigo Chamber of Commerce rooms on 20 September 1918 and registered a new industry association, the Retail Motor
In the interest of enlarging the association’s scope to cover all the motor trades, the association renamed itself the Victorian Automobile Chamber of Commerce (VACC) in 1920.
Present day issues, such as industrial disputes, hourly rates and skill shortages were already occurring, so VACC introduced a number of sectoral committees to address these challenges.
This was the foundation of VACC’s current operation, which is overseen by an Executive Board comprised of members from a diverse field of automotive operations.
To house staff and accommodate committee and board gatherings, VACC purchased property on St Kilda Road, Melbourne, in 1956 and on 4 September 1958 – almost 40 years to the day since its inception – Victorian Premier, Henry Bolte opened VACC House, the occasion celebrated with a vehicle cavalcade and eight-page newspaper supplement.
Now headquartered in North Melbourne, over the years, VACC has incorporated all facets of the automotive industry, including passenger vehicles, motorcycles, heavy vehicles and farm machinery in the retail, service and repair sectors.
Now known as the Victorian Automotive Chamber of Commerce, VACC also incorporates the Skills Development Centre, VACC Automotive Apprenticeships, and Women in Automotive network, along with a commercial arm, OurAuto, which provides products and services to the national automotive industry.
VACC provides key business support services to 5,000 business-owner members, including:
• Industry policy and advocacy
• Automotive industry research
• Technical information and support
• Communications and publications
• Automotive industry skills, training and careers.
VACC was born while Aussie soldiers still battled in the trenches of World War I and has weathered the Great Depression, a second World War, the Melbourne and Sydney Olympic Games, the ‘recession we had to have’, dozens of prime ministers, and the COVID-19 pandemic.
During VACC’s 100-year long journey, the internal combustion engine asserted itself as the preferred vehicle power source, safety innovations like seat belts and anti-lock braking were invented, vehicles became ‘connected’ and, of course, electric vehicles and ride-sharing have already begun to dramatically alter the marketplace.
Through it all, VACC has been there for its members – protecting and promoting them – so that they can be there for you.
VACC members constructed, retailed, serviced and repaired race cars from early days.

In July 2011, a couple of men looking for an adventure decided that it would be a good idea to ride form Perth to Melbourne on motorbikes. This was not a new or novel idea. Many have travelled this path before and no doubt will again. But this is different and with a purpose for a cause. Not being motorcyclists it was agreed that it would be a better idea if these men rode “old postie bikes”, using red Honda CT110s which travel at the sedate speed of a maximum of approximately 80kph. The postie bikes allow the rider to cover approx. 120 kms on one tank of petrol and would therefore provide an interesting challenge across the Nullabor. Apparently this had been done in 2010 by another group.
As men do, they told their friends and colleagues. Soon this group
began to grow with interested parties expressing their desire to participate and share in this challenging journey. So a plan was hatched and formulated by the two leaders of this “pack”.
Men’s health needs exposure, support and research so it was decided that funds raised would be directed to raising community awareness of prostate cancer and associated issues and to provide support for men diagnosed with this disease.
Eight years on our goals, although refined, remain unchanged and over one million dollars has been raised through sponsorship and donations which has enabled us to work with rural communities to provide specialist medical equipment for safe, accurate prostate cancer biopsy.
The M8B was developed for the1969 Can-Am season, where it was totally dominant, winning 11 out of 11 rounds! The most noticeable difference was that the rear wing was now mounted high on pylons. The wing mounting pylons passed through the bodywork to attach directly to the suspension uprights. This arrangement allowed McLaren to run softer springs than would have been required had the massive rear wing been attached to the bodywork. The body was also widened in order to fit one-inch wider wheels, now 15 x 11 front and 15 x 16 rear. The 1969 engine was a shorter stroke, larger bore version of the 1968 engine. It was built by George Bolthoff and developed 630bhp from 7,046 cc (430.0 cu in). Two complete M8B race cars and one spare tub were built using parts from the three M8As.

Sean Turnbull - Van Dieman
I bought the Van Diemen specifically so I could enter the Phillip Island classic. I bought the car off Travis Clarke in October '23 and have had 2 days in it at Sydney Motorsport Park before coming to the Island.
My history is like a lot of historic racers. I ran formula vees in the late 1980's and then upgraded to an RF 86 in 1990 and ran in the Driver to Europe series and then ran out of money.
I then took a long long break from motorsport before returning 5 years ago to drive my fathers (Peter Turnbull) historic Turnham Sports Cars. We have been running dad's cars over this time mostly in NSW at Wakefield and SMP but also at the Winton Historics and the Baskerville Historics each year.
The cars history as far as I know goes something like this It was imported by Greg Siddle and I believe it was first raced by Gary Jones in the 1987 FF Driver to Europe series after he upgraded from an RF 82
I also know it was owned by Brian Sampson for a long period of time between 2003 - 2016
It was then sold to Wayne Groeger who I think did a complete restoration on it and I believe was sold in 2018 to George Thornton , then on to Travis Clarke and then to myself. Very excited to have purchased another Van Diemen after all these years and looking forward to the classic
I began racing a Sunbeam Alpine when young Adam was tempted by the apple, from that to a Sunbeam Tiger. The motor from the Tiger transplanted to a Ford Mustang began an new journey and all the “fun” that we all know this involves.
My present Mustang has a long history:
Built, I believe, by Ross Muller and passing through the hands of :
Steve Mason
Grahame Hill
Mike Dyer
Harry Bargwanna et al
All good Fun!!
Trevor Ross - Royale R p 97
This is the only race car I have owned - It a real joy to drive. With sustained cornering and brake loadings near 2g’s and the relative safety of the aluminium or tube-framed chassis structure, these cars are roomy and very competent! They’re classic in their appearance to the great sports racers of the day. A well-tuned Pinto motor output is approximately 145 – 150 hp, at 7000 rpm, coupled with a low center of gravity, light weight, slicks and efficient aerodynamics will generate lap speeds in the mid 210 km/hr range.
What’s even more remarkable is how equal all of the chassis are in terms of performance potential, making Sports 2000 a real “driver’s class”. What ever your experience or motivation, you’ll be able to find someone to race with. A quick lap time is all about good technique and maintaining momentum through corners, Aluminium monocoque chassis, glued and riveted together like an airplane fuselage, Sports 2000 cars are “mini Can-Am cars” in construction and very nearly in performance!

loter peugeot - Jack Waldron
The Loter Peugeot is part of a series of cars built in the late 1950’s which are called the ‘Australian Lotus elevens’. A genuine Lotus eleven owned by John Leighton was damaged in a racing incident and jigs and moulds were copied from this car. Eleven kits were made up by Hedley Thompson ,Dennis Lupton, Don Ashton, Jim Jewitt. These were the people with the essential skill sets.
The recipients of the kits had to participate in the kit production and bought a space frame, sections, control arms and linkages etc at a very affordable price.
It was then their task to complete the build using engine, gearbox and sundry componentry of their choice.
Google: Australian Lotus Elevens for the full story.
Ownership history of the Loter Peugeot :
1958-1967 Mike and Terry Belair
1967 Lindsay Urquhart
1967-1971 Alister Sholl

The car has three logbooks. I don’t recall exactly when logbooks became a requirement for competition cars in CAMS sanctioned meetings but think it was around the early sixties. For a part of its life it would have competed without any logbook record. I have a photo of the car at Templestowe Hillclimb in 1961, road registered.
The first logbook is originally designated as ‘Loter Peugeot’, first entry dated 25/03/67 at Hume Weir. This logbook records 32 meetings. The circuits were Hume Weir, Winton, Calder, Philip Island, Lakeland Hillclimb, Oran Park. This first logbook has had the name of the car altered to ‘Mistral Nissan’ and engine changed to Datsun 1600. I suspect
there was an ownership, residential change and engine change around 1972 because Oran Park meetings started to dominate in this logbook.
The second logbook is a continuation book of the first logbook. The car name is carried forward as ‘Mistral Nissan’. The first meeting in this book is 16/08/1975 at Amaroo Park. There are 10 meetings recorded in this book. The circuits are Amaroo Park, Hume Weir, Winton.
The third logbook is dated 2012 and is an’ Historic Vehicle Logbook’. The name of the car is ‘Loter Peugeot’ and it is designated on the Certificate of Description as Category 5, Group Lb.
There are five Sprint Series meetings recorded in the Historic Log Book, the last being on 27/03/2015. The car was now living in Queensland.
The Loter Peugeot was advertised for sale in the Lotus car club magazine in 2018, complete with a certificate of description and logbook. I spoke with the owner, established what he was offering, then flew to Brisbane to inspect.
The Loter Peugeot period parts had been retained when the car was fitted with the Datsun 1600 engine and, remarkably, remained with the car throughout the ownership changes, except for the original gearbox (it was from an MG J type!) so John Blackburn had to get approval for a Riley 1 ½ litre gearbox and reassembled the car with some very ‘used’ components.
Cameron Smith - porsche
My car is a 1974 Porsche 911 Carrera RSR IROC. Representing the Mexico Blue Denny Hulme car which qualified 6th in the first race of the 1974 series. Fitted with 3.6 litre flat six engine, 5 speed gearbox and 15” wheels as per IROC spec.
Brakes, suspension and induction are also IROC spec components.
Competed in the IROC Challenge series and many historic events.
I have owned the car since 2021.
When I bought the car the close ratio gearbox was in a damaged condition, the tail shaft had chewed the space frame and tunnel as well as many other sundry problems.
It became obvious that it would be necessary to totally dismantle the car and refurbish everything, right back to the bare space frame.
Personally, I have come through the common route of motorkanas, hill climbs, club sprints, circuit racing and then found tarmac rallies. Tarmac rallies are very exciting and have been my focus for the past 30 years with the only circuit racing involvement being club based relay race events and in fact I dropped the circuit racing nomination on my licence about 15 years ago.
The upcoming Philip Island Classic will be its first circuit race in about 40 years.

Mike McKelliget - Car #48 my Group Sc 1974 Datsun 260Z. The car was built up from someone else’s forgotten project as a bare shell and many boxes of bits (some missing). The car was completed in 2019 but development has been interrupted by covid and mainly raced in Queensland. I came into motorsport late in life. I have previously competed in Tarmac rally events in our Rally ’74 260Z. This car was allowed to run as an “invited” Gp S & T in the HRCC meetings which gave me the taste to get involved in Group S Historics.

The lola T340/342 is a factory development car which in the capable hands of patrick neve won the 1974 British Racing Drivers Club (BRDC) Formula Ford Championship.
He continued to campaign the car in 1975 before becoming Williams Grand Prix Engineering’s first F1 driver.
The Lola kept racing in England until the end of 1979 when its new owner took it to New Zealand, and many more victories. Before the advent of “Historic Racing” there wasn’t any category in which to race, so like many old race cars the Lola sat idle until it was restored and raced in the mid 90’s.
In 2004 John Dymond the owner of Penrite Oil purchased the car and brought it to Australia, since then it has been campaigned regularly by Samantha Dymond, Kevin Kosa and Declan Foo under the Penrite banner. I am 23 years old and have been competing in various events for 9 years, hill climbs and MSCA Super Sprint series have been rewarding, taking home several awards including the Norm Beechy trophy and first in class (2 litre N.A.) in my 1981 Datsun Stanza, for three seasons.
My passion has always been in Historic racing, I was honoured to have been included in the pit crew by Classic Team Lotus tending Jim Clark’s 1966 Lotus Model 43 at Oulton Park in the UK. When the opportunity arose to purchase the Lola T340/342 it was a dream come true.
John Baker 1972 Elfin 600 Formula Ford
It is the last Elfin 600 Formula Ford built, and the only one not built to order, but for stock.
It was first owned by Terry Perkins then Peter Larner, who in 1973 won the B.S.Stillwell Ford Series (F Ford Section).
In the 1990’s it was restored by Ken Zinner to specs as raced by Peter Larner for the new Historic Formula Ford category. All up it has had 12 owners.
noel Bryen - Rennmax Bn -1
This Rennmax Bn -1 is number 4 of seven built and is the only one still in its original configuration. There is one other in WA but it is not racing these days.
All of the others have been converted to F2 or Formula Libra specs. Interestingly only 1 of the seven has not been accounted for. This car was originally owned by Kingsley Hibbard, who was quite a character from what I have been told. He “sold” it to Ken Ward in 1965 to settle a debt he had for mechanical work Ken was doing for him on one of his cars.
At that stage Ken was running a service station at Boronia Park in Sydney. Ken was also the Morgan Agent in Australia for the well known sports car and was making a name for himself in a red Twin Cam Morgan around the Sydney race circuits. When the FJ class died, Ken converted the car to F2 and carried on racing until he hung up his helmet in 1971. It then languished at the back of his shed until 2000, when some of his mates (myself included) restored it to its original FJ specs.
Fortunately, Ken was a great hoarder, and all of the original FJ components, including the body, were in his shed, so putting it back together was a relatively easy task.
At this stage, I had been racing for 15 years or so, first in Marque Sports and from the mid 90’s a Plus 4 Morgan in Group S. I build and prepare my own cars and started helping Ken get the Rennmax ready for historic racing. Ken had a few runs in it but we never quite got it going properly before he became ill and passed away in 2006. The C of D for the car was issued at about the same time and I have been developing and enjoying the car ever since. It is with much thanks to the generosity of Ken and the Ward family that I am having so much fun.

nnorax - kevin West
The Car itself is The norax was built in the norax lamp factory by 3 friends in Adelaide SA in the 1980s 1 of 3 cars they built powered by a midmounted rotary engine, coupled to a VW 5 Speed transmission.
It was based on the Lemans style sports car. Previous owners were Ian Davis, David Mackie & Peter Turner. It’s now campaigned by myself with the help of family and friends, we have competed at Phillip Island regularly as well as Tailem bend, Winton, Mallala & Wakefield Park My name is Kevin West. I am 56 years old I’m married with 3 children and 7 grandchildren. I am a machinist by trade. Grew up in Central Victoria I grew up around Cars and Motor sport. I enjoy everything about it I Come from a family who are heavily involved with Speedway., With 2 of my brothers who still race today. I Raced Speedway for several years in my younger days.
Then our family came along. While they were younger, I raced Go Carts. I met up with the late and great Mr Peter Turner approx. 2008. We formed a great friendship and I worked on his cars (The Grantinni 111B and others) for a few years. Peter then purchased the Norax in approx. 2013. I was then encouraged by peter to get my licence so I could drive as reward for effort. Peter took me under his wing and gave me the opportunity to have a go on the circuit in regularity, Which I did. I then started to compete with Peter sharing the drives. Peter had sold the Grantinni but his love for the car he built he purchased it back in 2019.
Thus began the adventure racing 2 cars. Peter racing mostly the Grantinni and myself the Norax (Nora). With a lot of plans together this was all cut short when Covid hit and then Peter was tragically taken in a car accident in 2020. Peter said that he wanted me to continue racing after he was gone and keep the legacy going. With this I purchased the Norax and set upon making this possible. I am very fortunate to have the support of my family and some wonderful friends without them I couldn’t keep doing what im doing and the support of Peters children and family. My plan is to keep racing both cars and keep the visions that peter and I had going. He is deeply missed, and I hope I can keep doing him proud. I am very grateful to have had him in my life and to meet some amazing people and continue too. What I love about motorsport is the amazing people you meet and that my family is all involved and maybe one day they can have a go as well. We are looking forward to the 2024 Historics season. If you see us in the pit, come and say hi. Happy to show the car and have a chat.

Tim Tapping - 1958 Read Holden Spl
The Read Holden was built by Ted Read of Botany using a amalgamation of popular components of the period, triple carby Holden “Grey” motor, MG TC gearbox inclined on its side with the gear lever emerging beneath the drivers right leg. A Peugeot 203 front end including the rack and pinion steering and wheels was used while the rear had a Skoda rear axle assembly, but with the drive to the diff pointing to the rear of the car. The tail shaft therefore passed underneath the rear axle assembly and drove the diff via a chain drive enclosed in a custom-made housing, this enabled the rather low Skoda final drive ratio to be raised by varying sprocket sizes.
Apart from a slightly lower seating position a further perceived benefit was that the reversal of the diff’s final drive direction negated the disadvantages of the Skoda swing axles. The car ran at Mt Druitt and various hill climbs in the late fifties before disappearing into oblivion for the next 20 years.
It was resurrected by Adrian Hart in the time for the historic racing in NSW and gave a good account of itself before it was sold in 1984 to Malcolm Smith. Malcolm carried out another restoration painting it red in place of the earlier Royal blue. He made his debut in the Read at the August 1984 Amaroo meeting and raced it for the next two years sometimes sharing the driving with former MGA racer. Terry Middleton. David Arnold of Coffs Harbour
bought it in 1986 and raced it for the next year before selling it to John Bromfield of Canberra. John continued to be a regular and consistent competitor in Historics for several years before selling the Read in the early 1990s to Barry Cassell. Initially Barry was a regular competitor but other interests soon took preference and little was heard of the car until offered for sale in 2011 in a dismantled condition. It was quickly purchased by Steve Budden of Queensland who restored it again and where it won its class at Leburn Sprints driven by Paul Budden.
The Read Holden was purchased by Tim Tapping of Perth, WA and has continued to race, maintain and improve the Read. It handles beautifully at speed and is very quick. Recent updates include new rear axles, brakes, wheels, rebuilt engine, gearbox and diff assembly. Tim’s first motorsport event was at Amaroo race track, sitting on the rocks at Stop corner overlooking the track. Great memories and the motorsport addiction was set.

Phillip Island Formula 5000 Historic Grand Prix
As a commercial non-bank mortgage lender EquityOne has specialised in fast and competitive finance solutions since the mid 1990’s. Our inception came at a time when banks were especially difficult to borrow from and Managing Director, Dean Koutsoumidis, recognised the benefit of private lending as an alternative finance solution.
Whilst we are recognised as one of Australia’s trusted non-bank lender lenders, Equity-One is also known to its investors as a Fund Manager of fixed interest investment products. Our uniqueness lies in the flexible and transparent nature of investing. Investors select first mortgages or “security property” as we often call it, upon which a loan is secured. This model ensures investors know exactly the destination of their funds. It is precisely this control and security that investors have enjoyed and has led to the growth of Equity-One.
In previous years this practice was referred to as “Contributory Mortgages” whereas today, the term “Peer-to-Peer Lending” has taken its place.
We offer competitive interest returns, credited to your bank account, directly. Investors can receive interest monthly, quarterly, or annually depending on the investment term that suits your needs.
Investments start at a minimum of $10,000 with no maximum limit.
If you’re interested in investing in property and seeking competitive returns starting from 8% per annum, give us a call on 03 9602 3477 or visit our website at equity-one.com to speak to one of our staff.
DRIVEN BY PASSION FOR 100 YEARS
A LOT OF HISTORY IN THIS PLACE...
A place driven by passion.
From the start, we were shifting the automotive landscape, from making the parts for Australia’s first cars, to building F1 world championship winning engines.
Yep, even after a century, a key in the ignition still revs something within us –’cause we’ve got an unexplainable bond with motoring. Repco. Driven by passion for 100 years.

patron’s Statement
I am honored to have been the official patron of The Male Bag Ride/Foundation since April 2013, when 25 men decided to ride ex-postie Honda 110 motorcycles from Perth to Melbourne. Moving forward we have since organised a further five rides, round Tasmania in 2014, Victoria in 2015, Gippsland in 2016, Echuca/Moama region in 2017 and Victoria/Canberra/NSW in 2018.
Following the initial Perth to Melbourne ride work began to establish the foundation as a registered not-for-profit charity. We can now proudly say every cent of fund raising is directed to prostate care outcomes in regional areas - outcomes that would otherwise not be met.
Supported by so many people (riders, crew, sponsors, families and general public) we have now collected in excess of $1 million. This is used to raise awareness, purchase public hospital testing equipment, and provide patient nursing support, to fight prostate cancer in Australia.
It is important that we continue to spread the word about prostate cancer, in the hope that we can save more men from this insidious disease that kills over 3000 Australian men every year. Our website www.themalebagfoundation.org.au will provide you with more details of how you can help us with this work.

At the competition, the team competes against other university’s teams from across the country and internationally.
All of the teams are evaluated on vehicle performance, management processes, engineering design, and business operation through a series of dynamic and static events.
Currently the team is working towards building its first ever all-wheel drive electric racecar with hub motors, TS_22, in preparation for the 2022 Formula SAE-A competition.
This will make us only one of a few teams to have made the transition to building and competing an all-wheel drive electric racecar.
Team Swinburne Formula SAE is also in the process of completing our first ever autonomous racecar for competition, converting our 2019 contender TS_19, into an autonomous vehicle.
