1.The Church of La Concepcion An old hermitage dedicated to Our Lady built in the XVI century was the predecessor of the current church of the three naves. 2.The fortress of San Fernando A small defensive constructio which due to its strategic position helped to defend the coastline from the attacks of the pirates. At this point, there are several choices for the traveller- to descent down to the beaches of Castro and La fajana, visiting the Water Elevator or going through the main foothpath to the beach of Los Roques. 3.Holy week Holy week has turned into one of the most splendid celebratious. 7.Facts and fiction of dragon tree Los Realejos The dragon tree of Los Realejos Tenerife is one of many a dracaena draco and belongs to vegetables, biologically. This botanical wonder of perfect biology is one of few living remnants of the Guanche past of Los Realejos. It is a monumental museum in its own right. In fact, none of the Tenerife drago trees have branches which spread wide enough to really shade a large assembly. 8.The church of Carmen.


The church was planed in 1955.It was completely designed according to the lady of el Carmen,which had to be the center of interest of the temple.She is the Honorary and perpetual lady of Los Realejos and the Saint patron of the Orotava Valley. 9.La Corona viewpoint. Located in the slope of Tigaiga in the area of Icod el alto , this viewpoint constitute an unique setting from where an overall view of Orotava Valley and the north-western side of the island can be observed.Because of its position,height and flight conditions it is one of the best places of the Canaries for the practice of paragliding. 10. The festivity of San Isidro Regarded as a festival of National Tourist Interest, it is when the participants wear traditional clothes and the bands of musicians and dancers begin enjoying themselves in front of the images of their Saint Patron. 12. Festivity of El Carmen The outstanding final of the extensive cultural and festive program lasting nearly a month in July each year, when the image of El Carmen is carried on the shoulders of the seamen of Puerto de la Cruz in the Octava Procession.
