Modular Slat Conveyors
Using the principle of standard modular components we are pleased to offer a new range of modular slat conveyors that can be configured in to a virtually endless range of layouts.
Section 2 Materials Handling & Storage Solutions
The flexibility of the product includes straight sections, various degrees of horizontal bends, vertical and decline bends and five standard chain widths. Using the three dimensional movement of the chain means that systems can be constructed that will bend, loop, incline and decline all in the same continuous line. These systems are widely used in the following industries - electronics, printing and packaging, food packing lines, assembly lines, and many other general manufacturing applications. Our experienced team of engineers will be pleased to help you with any system layouts and design requirements that you may have. Extendable conveyors can be gravity or powered and supplied in a range of widths from 450mm – 900mm wide and extended lengths from 3.75m – 25m. Unit loading can be up to 150kgs per meter. On powered conveyors smart optics can be included that will allow product accumulation and better control of the loading / unloading process.

The self levelling design of this product automatically maintains a convenient working height that helps eliminate operator back strain and improve productivity.

EZ Loaders are designed to eliminate worker bending by automatically raising and lowering pallets during the loading or unloading process. Pallets can also be easily rotated to prevent operator stretching. Up and down movement is controlled by a patented pneumatic system that is easily adjusted to suit the loads required. No electrical or hydraulic power source is needed. The EZ Loader works by maintaining a convenient height and automatically adjusts itself as weights are added or removed from the pallet.

Using standard aluminium extruded profiles and connectors we offer a design, manufacture and installation service for all types of machine guards and safety fences. The use of standard “off the shelf� components as shown in the component guide allows us to be truly creative in the design and build of Machine Guards, Workstations, Working Platforms and many other types of workshop equipment. A-Safe Modular Industrial Barriers
Why is A-Safe so different? A-Safe products are polymer-based, so they are far more flexible and durable than conventional steel barriers. Hit them with a vehicle and they will spring back into shape, rather than bending or buckling, thus cutting maintenance costs by greatly reducing the need for damage repairs. A simple concept and one that is already used in many other applications. For instance, the motor industry started fitting plastic bumpers to their vehicles years ago. A-Safe decided to use the same principle for their products, with outstanding results. Safety First Although they are flexible, A-Safe Barriers are extremely strong. They effectively protect your workforce, machinery, buildings and vehicles. All products are designed to meet the most stringent Health & Safety guidelines and are load tested to British Standards.
A-Safe Barriers feature a yellow and black colour scheme as standard, which enables both pedestrians and drivers to see at a glance where they should be and where they shouldn’t be. These colours are solid and highly resistant to scratching too, so no repainting is required. Some barrier options such as the A-Safe Armco range are available in grey.

Cutting your costs Not only does A-Safe improve safety standards, it can also provide significant cost savings. Over a 3 year period, 500 metres of A-Safe Barrier can save over £115,000 in repairs and maintenance costs, compared to conventional steel barriers.
A Greener Option

A-Safe Barriers offer considerably lower CO2 emissions than steel barriers in manufacture, supply and maintenance, ensuring a greatly reduced carbon footprint. With less weight, little to no maintenance, no painting and 100% recyclability, the green credentials couldn’t be better. That’s backed up by hard figures, too. Research has shown that producing a 100m of A-Safe Barrier generates 1766kg of CO2 emissions compared to a steel Armco barrier, which generates 3863kg of CO2 in manufacture.
Easy Installation Thanks to their modular construction, A-Safe products are supremely adaptable and economically easily installed. They are supplied with post floor fixings and require no screws or welding. Once in place, installation can be expanded to meet your changing business needs.

Safety Signs
We offer a comprehensive range of Safety Signs. The most popular being Personal Protection Signs, Mandatory Signs, No Smoking Signs and Fire Exit Signs. Available in either 1.2mm Rigid Plastic or Self-Adhesive Vinyl. All of our Safety Signs are compliant with ISO 7010.
ISO 7010 was devised to introduce consistent symbols across international safety signs. New pictograms were created and these have been tested across various EU countries to ensure the symbols are universally understood and recognised. It is proposed that during 2012 ISO 7010 will become EN 7010; this means it will become a European Normative. As long as there are no objections to the proposal it is extremely likely to go ahead. If it does go ahead, the specific symbols of ISO 7010 will be written into law, not just ‘best-practice’ standards.

To help your business meet the current standards of hygiene required in food production areas we offer a range of heavy duty insect screens. Using standard frame components that are available in powder coated white, brown or silver anodised aluminium finishes we can manufacture window and door screens that are made to measure. A range of grey fibreglass or stainless steel mesh is also available depending on the application requirements. Doors can be toughened by adding low level kick plates, mid-bars or centre push plates. Self closers can also be fitted to doors. Window sub-frames are also available to allow easy screen removal for cleaning or access to window handles. Our service includes site surveys, advice on specific applications, heavy duty door applications and a full installation service. Complementing our range of insect screening products we also offer a range of brush strip material that can be used for draught proofing, dust control and vermin control.

Lifting Equipment
Our materials handling solutions are about providing bespoke equipment for customers with specific materials handling needs. As well as offering a range of standard pallet trucks and lifting equipment we felt it was necessary to offer an additional range of bespoke handling equipment designed to suit specific customer requirements. Manufacturing processes differ depending on the products being made and the product weight, shape and dimensions often require the use of specialised handling equipment. Shown below are some typical examples of products that are available. These include scissor lift pallet trucks, stacker trucks, folding cranes, mobile scissor lifts and high lift pallet movers.
