AN ADDITION TO THE FUR FAMILY

Journal Entry 1

Oakie, the feline brother of Tex.

I'm the new sibling in the house. The less cute animal here doesn't seem to like me very much, but I don't think it matters because the humans here LOVE me. I try to play with the icky other animal, but it doesn't speak meows so I usually just bat my paws at it until it gets annoyed and runs away making weird noises. Its paw s are so much bigger than mine and it's so CLUMSY. It knocks things off the coffee table with its tail on ACCIDENT, as if it isn't more fun to bat things off the tables on purpose. I tried to teach it, but it just gave me a weird noise. I think the humans call it Tex and I guess I can see why they paw-bably think it is cute. We might be friends later, but for right meow —well — it's good to be home!

Meows, Oakie

Journal Entry 2

Pup columnist Tex.

It's the worst thing I have ever seen and the humans have already taken a liking to it. They call it Oakie and it knocks things off the tables when I'm the only one around. I tried to tell it to stop that, but it just stared at me and jumped on top of the counters. Heights are terrifying, so it must be some kind of alien fuzz ball if it isn't afraid of walking up so high. I hope the humans come to their senses soon, but as the days pass I think they like it more. It doesn't even speak barks like the rest of us do, but the humans pretend they can understand for it. I'll update later, maybe — I think it has it out for me!
