WELCOME TO THE 2023 TLBAA SENIOR SALE!
Thank you for taking your time to come support some of our graduating TLBT Seniors. Each project was carefully selected, cared for and promoted by their consignor. The Senior Sale helps support these young adults, with all funds going directly to the kids. No consignment fees, commissions or the like! We like to think of this sale as a great send-off for our graduating youth to meet their life needs as they go on to a university, trade school, junior college or the like. Thank you kids for spending your youth helping us promote the nostalgic Texas Longhorn.
We also would like to thank The Source for once again being the title sponsor of the Senior Sale. Be sure to find Ryan and Devin and thank them for renewing their support once again for the youth. Another great supporter to thank is the team at Hired Hand who handled the design of this catalog. The Source and Hired Hand are both headed up by TLBT alumni who have come back to the Texas Longhorn world with their skills.
This year, the World Show Committee is happy to bring on the benefit of the TLBA Foundation, a 5013C. Buyers will write a check to the Foundation in the amount of their purchase price, and the Foundation will write a check to the youth. Add-ons or donations will also be handled through the Foundation allowing participants of all levels to also track their support.
Speaking of support and new things, opening mid-day during the Texas Gold Futurity will be the first “Sale Day Saloon” sponsored by Danley Cattle Company. Buy your drink tickets or bracelet and enjoy the day! The funds raised via the Sale Day Saloon will go to the benefit of the youth. The Saloon will stay open through the sale and into the Trophy Steer show.
Finally, we would also like to acknowledge the TLBAA Staff for their work putting this day together. Many long hours planning the World Show on committee calls well after working hours, handling paperwork and taking the hard calls. Thank you Pam and team, for all you do for our youth.
So, let’s get down to business. Browse through the catalog, read the notes and please consider supporting these youth at any level. Whether it is an animal purchase, an add-on, drink ticket or donation – any level matters. We believe this program has fostered the life skill of marketing and animal husbandry. They have all met the time requirement to belong to our association and promoted the breed in those years – their part has certainly been done. So let’s do our part and show these graduating youth our support! Please ask any of us how we can help get you plugged in.

PERPETUA SAINT BONA
DOB: 5/29/2022
PH#: 204 Reg: CI337001
SIRE: SANDDOLLAR REVIVAL (Sanddollar Escalade x Sanddollar Rita)
DAM: LUKE’S LINA CP (Sanddollar Discovery x Lina C P)
BREEDING: Not Exposed.
COMMENTS: Perpetua Saint Bona, affectionately known as ‘Bona’, puts together maternal characteristics with a showy look. With her expansive spring of rib and thick muscling, this heifer is bound to produce some big calves. She gains fantastic udder quality and sound structure from both her dam and paternal granddam. She consistently places in the top three of large, competitive classes. I can’t wait to see this heifer develop through her next few years on the show circuit and into the pasture for breeding. Though I find her extremely impressive now, I think Bona will be a real showstopper with a calf on her hip.

Lot #12
BRAXTEN STERLING
HOUSTON, TX • CLEAR LAKE HIGH SCHOOL
COMMENTS: Rockin’ Horns Oh My Lola started out as just another heifer that we purchased to show. Shortly after we brought Lola home I felt a bond with her that I’d never felt with any other cow before. Lola has the sweetest, most loving disposition of any females that I’ve shown and she’s taught me that a Longhorn can not only be a show animal, but also a best friend. Lola is a July 2020 cow with a beautiful April 2023 heifer calf at side named BT Sweet N Sassy Showgirl. Showgirl is a flashy red and white calf sired by Hailey Mann’s bull, STCC HB At First Glance. We look forward to seeing how she develops in the future and believe she will be a very nice prospect for anyone’s show string in the future. After graduating from Weatherford High School, I plan to attend Tarleton State University and pursue a degree in Business Administration. I will also be continuing my color guard career with Tarleton State Purple Pride Color Guard as well as playing trombone in their band program. I am looking forward to getting all the college experiences at Tarleton in the fall as a part of the Class of 2027!
LSL SELENA
DOB: 3/17/2022
PH#: 12 Reg: CI337904
SIRE: BAR 79 MAGIC MAVERICK (M61 Vulcan x Bubba’s Magic)
DAM: LSL SKY’S THE LIMIT (LSL Drag-Gun x LSL Sky Dancer)
BREEDING: Not Exposed.
COMMENTS: I started showing longhorns my freshman year and I quickly became passionate about the breed. I have spoken to our middle school students about the breed and I have grown the interest in our FFA program. LSL Selena is one-year-old and the first heifer I’ve owned, who I purchased from Mr. David Bradley at Lone Star Longhorns. She doesn’t need a halter or a lead rope when I take her to and from the pasture. I would love for her to be bought by someone that will care for her, keep showing her and breed her. Selling LSL Selena will help with my tuition for Texas Tech, where I will be attending this fall to major in social work. I plan on becoming a social worker and owning my own longhorn herd in the future.
FR BSL MIDNIGHT ADDIE
DOB: 1/22/2022
PH#: 220 Reg: CI337839
SIRE: FR TEXAS RED (PCC Gladiator x CO Natalie)
DAM: J.R. HIGHLIGHT (KC Just Respect x J.R. Nightlight)
BREEDING: Not Exposed.
COMMENTS: FR BSL Midnight Addie is a tall black and white female from Bruce and Karen Fisher from Adkins, Texas. She was born in January 2022 and has competed in the very competitive Class 5 this year. In her very first show weekend, she placed second in her class and won the Reserve Junior Champion female title. In April, she received a first in class at the Llano Spring Fling under judge and consultant Russell Fairchild. His comments on her included being structurally correct, long legged, and having nice horn for her age. This female is OPEN and ready to be bred to the bull of your choice! This fall, I will be attending Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas, where I will be studying Animal Science, with a pre-vet concentration, while continuing to raise and breed Texas longhorns. After completing my Bachelor’s degree, I plan to head to Veterinary School to study to become a veterinarian.
I would like to thank each and every person in the longhorn industry for their contributions and believing in me over the years. I am extremely grateful for each of you!

PH#: 23 Reg: C339127
SIRE: HAYWIRE JIMBO (Sandollar Discovery x RR Start Me Up)
DAM: SUNRISE STYLISH (Anchor T Anchor Man x Sierra 51)
BREEDING: Not Exposed.
COMMENTS: My name is Wyatt Schaper, I have been showing and learning about Longhorn cattle since I was able to walk. I have shown the good, the bad and even Champions of the show. I take pride in every animal I have shown. I appreciate this heifer in many ways; she was named after one of the top breeders in our industry, Betty B. Baker. She is a beautiful heifer to look at with her red and white pattern. Haywire Betty B is sound on her feet and structurally correct. She shows a great deal of feminine qualities to be a great momma cow and comes from a bloodline that has proven to be high quality animals. I am grateful to have had such a good heifer to show in my senior year. Now she’s ready for someone else to enjoy her as much as I have. She is ready to breed and to continue showing, if that’s what you are looking for. She’s the right kind and whoever purchases Betty, will get a heifer who will only be an asset to your herd.

COMMENTS: Chaparral Red Dawn is a Class 3 heifer from the Chaparral Cattle Company with champion genetics. Her sire has produced many champions, as well as world champions. Her dam’s sire, Dallas Seavey, has also produced multiple world champions. Chaparral Red Dawn is feminine, broody and doesn’t give up any power. Her combination of foot and bone size, length of side, length from hooks to pins and depth of rib, is sure to get any breeder looking for a profitable investment excited. I believe she will be the right piece for any program looking to move up to the next level.
