Let me extend a warm welcome to our returning TODA members and to new members a ending conven on for the first me. As always, the TODA Board has planned a great schedule, including extraordinary headliners, expert clinicians, tried and true tradi onal reading sessions, and new works to share with your students. I am pleased to welcome our impressive headliners: Dr. Joanne Erwin, Re red Professor of Music Educa on at Oberlin Conservatory and Ar s c Director and Conductor for the Northern Ohio Youth Orchestra; and Dr. Gail Barnes, Professor of Music Educa on at the University of South Carolina and Director of the USC String Project. Also, we are excited to have with us the Texas Hill Country Bass Collec ve, featuring five of Central Texas’ best double bass instructors. Don’t miss their Hill Country Bass Clinic, about demys fying this instrument. A sampling of this year’s clinicians includes our two headliners, Dr. Erwin, sharing her insights in Ground-up Pedagogy Through the K-12 Experience; and Dr. Barnes’ clinic on Priori es in the String & Orchestra Classroom: Posture, Pulse, Pitch and Praise! 2017 Texas Orchestra Director of the Year Diana Gilliland As a fourth grade student at Coldwell Elementary School, Diana Gilliland decided to play the violin when she first heard melodious and captivating sounds come alive from a vinyl record of Czech composer Smetana’s symphonic poem The Moldau. Mrs. Gladys L’Huillier began to describe eloquently what each instrument represented as the music unfolded, but her voice fell distant when the power of the string section took over the composition. It was these beautiful orchestral colors and sounds of strings that established Diana’s love of music and resolve to play the violin--and ultimately teach. Diana’s teaching career began in 1980 at Johnson, Western Hills, and Mesita Elementary Schools in the El Paso Independent School District. In 1983 she transitioned to Lamar Elementary and El Paso High School, and for 11 years she directed the Lamar Elementary, Wiggs Middle School, and El Paso High School orchestras. Now in her 37th year of teaching, she continues to direct the orchestra at Wiggs Middle School, a program she started in 1986. For 30 years, she has led an EPISD Summer Orchestra Program for students of all ages. Diana was also a founding member, teacher, and conductor with the El Paso Philharmonic Strings for 20 years. Diana’s orchestras consistently receive superior ratings at Region 22 concert festivals. Many of her students perform with the All-Region Middle and High School Orchestras, and selected students achieve higher levels at the Texas All-State Orchestra programs. Community service, integrity, and mentorship have been seminal pillars of her programs. Since 1991, her orchestras have performed in the University of Texas at El Paso graduation ceremonies. Other service events include performances for the Ronald McDonald House, Lee & Beulah Moor Children’s Home, annual summer performances at adult care centers, and various community events. Diana strongly believes in exposing and nurturing children in music education at all levels. Her collaboration with the El Paso Pro Musica program has led to visits to her schools from world renowned cellist Zuill Bailey, pianist Navah Perlman, and other guest artists.

Diana holds a Bachelor of Music and Master of Music in Music Education. Her education background includes seminars at UCLA, the University of San Francisco, and the University of Denver where she met and observed Dr. Shinichi Suzuki working his internationally known methods. Diana is an active member of TODA, TMEA, Mu Omicron, and the American Federation of Musicians. For many years she was the region judging panel chair and has hosted AllRegion, Concert and Sight Reading Contests and All-State Taping Auditions. At the state level she has conducted reading sessions, and served as judge for seating auditions and SightReading contests. Diana also is performing her 38th season with the El Paso Symphony Orchestra first violin section and has performed with El Paso Pro Musica, El Paso Opera, The Bruce Nehring Consort, the Las Cruces Symphony, and the Angerstein String Quartet. She was selected Teacher of the Year at Wiggs Middle School (1993, 2001) and in 2014 for El Paso High School. Diana has received a number of other recognitions, but is most honored and humbled to be selected as the 2017 Texas Orchestra Director of the Year.

2017 Composition Contest Winner Aaron Gomez Congratulations to Aaron Gomez for his winning composition “Flight”.

Aaron was born in Laredo, Texas, and moved to San Antonio at the age of five. He began his musical training as a cellist under the tutelage of John Thornton at Stevenson Middle School. Years later Aaron studied piano under Dr. Mark Camann. During his high school years, Aaron studied conducting with Dr. Eugene Dowdy and after graduating, Aaron continued his studies under the mentorship of Maestro Terence Frazor. Aaron attended the University of Texas at San Antonio, where he received his Bachelors degree in Music Composition. At UTSA, he studied composition with Dr. Ethan Wickman, Dr. James Balentine and Professor James Syler. Aaron was awarded with the Reed Holmes Composition Award. Aaron has been playing the cello for thirteen years and has studied under San Antonio Symphony principle cellist Ken Freudigman, Bulgarian cellist Lachezar Kostov, cellist Dan Zollars and cellist Ryan Murphy. Aaron plays in various orchestras and ensembles in San Antonio, including the San Antonio Chinese Orchestra and Opus’17 String Quartet. Aaron’s composition, titled “Flight,” and will played in RS: 5 at 2:45 pm on Saturday.

2017 TODA Scholarship Recipients 2017 Barbara Eads Scholarship Recipient Stephanie Dodgen President of the Klein chapter of the Texas Future Music Educators club, Stephanie Dodgen is a 2017 International Baccalaureate Degree graduate of Klein Oak High School, an AP Scholar and Distinguished Graduate ranked in the top 1% of her class. She is the recipient of multiple music awards including TMEA Texas Music Scholar (three years in a row), Outstanding Musicianship from the Foundation for Music Education, National School Orchestra Award, and Excellent & Outstanding Performer designations at Solo and Ensemble competitions. Stephanie is the concertmaster for the top orchestra at her high school and was invited to perform at the Midwest Music Clinic in Chicago in 2014 and to compete at ASTA in Pittsburgh in 2017. She was selected to participate in the Texas Chamber Music Institute multiple years. She will attend the Meadows School of Music at Southern Methodist University.

2017 Memorial Scholarship Recipients Arya Loloee A 2017 graduate of Plano Senior High School, Arya started playing double bass in the 6th grade and was the high schoolâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s principal double bass, playing in two string orchestras, full orchestra, Evolution: Electric Orchestra, jazz band, and wind ensemble. He has won numerous awards for his performance in orchestra as well as the Outstanding Musician Award at the 39th Annual TCU Jazz Festival and the Award of Excellence in Musical Composition at the state level in the 2015-2016 Reflections Competition. He served as the orchestra senior vice president and the double bass section leader. Arya will continue his music education at the University of Houston and plans to begin a career of teaching the next generation of students about the blessings of music.

Andrew Molina Drew Molina began playing viola in 6th grade at Katy Junior High School. He took private lessons from Rebecca Tompkins beginning in 8th grade and continued his music education at Tompkins High School, where he played under the direction of Matthew Porter and Sundas Mohi. He has participated in All-Region Orchestras, played at State Solo and Ensemble for four years, and was part of the high school orchestra that won the Tommy Tunes award and the orchestra ranked 7th in the state in Honor Orchestra. He has played with the Fort Bend Symphony and often performs for weddings, retirement homes and churches. He considers music to be his great passion and feels lucky to have something so beautiful to do with his life. He will attend the University of North Texas.

In Memoriam J.R. McEntyre November 15, 1926 - May 19, 2017 J. R. McEntyre was born in Sweetwater, TX, November 15, 1926. During his school years, he played French Horn and served as drum major at Odessa High School. At Texas Tech University he played ﬁrst horn in the Texas Tech Band and earned Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. During WWII, he served in the U. S. Army in the 82nd Airborne Division band as ﬁrst horn, assistant director, and drum major. Sergeant J.R. McEntyre served as drum major in the victory parade in Washington D.C. following the end of World War II. J.R. played principal horn in the Lubbock Symphony and was band director at the new Bowie Junior High School in Odessa, where he remained un l 1955. He also served as band director at Bonham Junior High School, and then in 1959 became the band and orchestra director of the newest high school in Odessa, Permian. His orchestras were winners of The Buccaneer Fes val outstanding Orchestra Award for four years. In 1968 at the Buccaneer Music Fes val in Corpus Chris , Permian was awarded Most Outstanding Concert Orchestra, Most Outstanding Concert Band, and the Grand Sweepstakes Award. They performed for the Co on Bowl and an NFL championship game. In addi on to his teaching du es, J.R. performed with the Midland-Odessa Symphony Orchestra and served as guest conductor. In 1972 J.R. became Director of Music Educa on for Ector County Independent School District. Over his long career, he served as president of the Texas Music Educators Associa on, Texas Music Adjudicators Associa on, Texas Music Educators Conference, and the Na onal Bandmasters Fraternity Phi Beta Mu. He also was Texas State Band Division Chairman, and from 1969 to 1987 was Exec Secretary for District VI UIL Music. He earned mul ple awards throughout his life, including Bandmaster of the Year in 1985 by The Texas Bandmasters Associa on, and Orchestra Director of the Year and an Excellence in Community Service Award in Educa on by the Heritage of Odessa Founda on in 1987. In 1995, Permian High School named its Instrumental Music Building a er him. In 2016, J.R. was inducted into the Region VI Band Directors Hall of Fame in Odessa. Jennifer Elaine Lemin August 30, 1981- March 28, 2017

Jennifer Elaine Lemin, 35, passed away after a two-year battle with breast cancer, at her home in Arlington, in the presence of family on Tuesday, March 28, 2017. The memorial service was held on Saturday, April 8, at Fielder Road Baptist Church. Jennifer was born Aug. 30, 1981, to Steven and Janet Elaine Brown in Fort Worth, Texas. Musical from the start, she began playing the cello in fifth grade, and eventually dedicated her life to emphasizing the importance of music and the arts in North Texas. She graduated from Arlington High School in 1999 with honors. While pursuing a degree in music education at the University of Texas at Arlington, she met her husband, Don Lemin. They married in 2002, and she graduated with a Bachelor of Music cum laude in 2004. Jennifer began her teaching career in Grand Prairie ISD at Reagan Middle School, before moving to the Arlington ISD where she taught at Little Elementary School and Martin High School. Jennifer’s love for music and her students poured from her, so stepping away from teaching when her disease got too difficult was one of her hardest decisions. However, her cancer could not diminish her ambition, and she began her Masters of Music in Instrumental Conducting at Southern Methodist University in 2015. She balanced her treatments with classes, all while remaining heavily involved in Arlington Youth Symphony. Whether she was rooting on the Cowboys, Rangers, or attending AYS and DSO concerts, Jennifer was happiest supporting the things she cared about in the company of those she loved. With all her strength and passion for life, she never let her disease hold her back. She continued traveling to new places and trying new food with her husband (who adored her and cherished their life together) and family, as well as spending precious time with her beloved niece, Charlotte. Jennifer was preceded in death by her mother, Janet Elaine Brown, and her grandfather, Bascomb “Pete” Morris. She is survived by her husband of 15 years, Don Lemin; her grandmother, Billie Morris; father, Steven Brown; sisters, Leslie LaChance and husband, Jody, and Stephanie Gibbs and husband, Kieron; dear stepsons, Nick Lemin and wife, Heather, Nathan Lemin; nieces and special nephew, Charlotte, Ethan, and Emma. Jennifer was gifted, compassionate, and fierce, with a smile that could light up an auditorium, and we will always remember her sparkle. Left hand technique is accurate, supple and fluid. The trade off in many cases is the lack of a singing sound on these naturally singing instruments. “The Bow of Breath” is an exploration of the vocal aspects of string playing with the bow as the freeing and liberating tool for expression. Discussion and demonstration of the mechanics, both with muscle use and the physics of tone production where the bow meets the string, are used to reveal the free and expressive tone that lies within every bowed string instrument.

2017 Conven on Headliners Dr. Gail Barnes With 20 years’ experience, Dr. Gail Barnes is Professor of Music Educa on at the University of South Carolina and Director of the USC String Project. She is the Founder of the School Orchestra and String Teachers Facebook page, which has grown to more than 6,400 members. Dr. Barnes has been a presenter at dozens of na onal and interna onal clinics including presenta ons in China, Greece, and Scotland, and has served as a guest conductor for events across the U.S. Her work is published in most music educa on journals. Giovanna Cruz

Dr. Giovanna Cruz, Educa on Services Specialist with MakeMusic, is a cellist and educator with extensive experience as an orchestral and chamber musician, college and private studio teacher, and public school teacher. She was the Orchestra Director at James Bowie High School in Aus n ISD from 2007 to 2014, where she taught more than 120 students in four orchestras. Since joining MakeMusic in 2014, she has presented SmartMusic clinics and training workshops all over the country. Dr. Cli on Evans serves as Director of Orchestras, Associate Professor of Music, Graduate Advisor, and String Area Coordinator at the University of Texas as Arlington, as well as Ar s c Director of the Arlington Youth Symphony. Dr. Evans’ previous posi ons include Director of Orchestras and Chamber Music for the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Houston, Music Director for the Gilbert and Sullivan Society of Houston, Conductor for the Houston Youth Symphony, and Music Director and Conductor of the Houston Civic Symphony. Jan Garverick

Dr. Jan Garverick is the Director of Orchestras at MacArthur High School in the North East ISD in San Antonio. She has taught strings from kindergarten through university levels, founding the NEISD Summer Orchestra Workshop and serving as its coordinator for 12 years. Jan has served in all oﬃces of the Texas ASTA chapter and has been awarded many honors including Orchestra Director of the Year (2016), ASTA’s Elizabeth A.H. Green Award (2006), MacArthur’s Trinity Prize (2006) and others. She is also an ac ve member of the Texas Music Adjudicators Associa on, the Texas Music Educators Na onal Conference, TMEA, Mu Omicron, and TODA. In 2005, she was inducted into the San Antonio Women’s Hall of Fame, as the outstanding woman in the ﬁeld of professional educa on, and in 2006 received the American String Teachers Associa on Na onal Elizabeth A.H. Green Award. Jan earned degrees in English and music, as well as a PhD in Fine Arts from Texas Tech University.

Kathleen House is Orchestra Director at Horace Mann Dual Language Magnet Middle School in Wichita, Kansas. Her program consistently scores high at fes vals and many of her students have become principal players in Kansas youth symphonies. Kathleen has given presenta ons on chamber music and tone produc on and performs with local and traveling orchestras. She is a member of ASTA, KMEA, NAfME and TODA. She earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in Music Educa on and Violin Performance from Kansas Wesleyan University.

Aryc Lane

Aryc Lane is the Director of Orchestras at Reedy High School, where he opened the campus in the fall of 2015. The Reedy Orchestra program has received numerous awards and state recogni on and has almost tripled in size to be one of the largest high school orchestras in Frisco ISD in just a few years. Aryc is also the co-founder of the ChamberWorks Summer Music Ins tute, a summer camp based in the Dallas area. With ChamberWorks, Aryc has taken groups to perform across the United States and Europe. He earned a Bachelor of Music Educa on from Baylor University and a Master of Music Educa on from Illinois State University.

Dennis Langevin

Dennis Langevin has directed orchestras in North Texas for 20 years and is currently in his 18th year as Director of Orchestras at Hendrick Middle School in Plano ISD. His orchestras consistently receive Sweepstakes ra ng at UIL and superior ra ngs at local fes vals. Mr.

Langevin also serves as a clinician, conductor and adjudicator in north Texas and around the state. He earned a Bachelor of Music at the University of North Texas.

Jeﬀrey Noel Lastrapes

Cellist Jeffrey Noel Lastrapes is a soloist, chamber musician, and teacher. He has performed throughout the U.S. and the world. He has recorded for Centaur Records and New World Records, and his recent edi on of the “Six Suites for Solo Cello” by Bach is published by BCMP Ltd. His upcoming performances and master classes include appearances in Montenegro, China, Brazil, and throughout the U.S. Jeffrey is currently Associate Professor of Cello and Chair of Strings at Texas Tech University and is in his 21st season on the cello and chamber music faculty of the Interlochen Center for the Arts. Jeffrey is a graduate of the Cur s Ins tute of Music and the Juilliard School, where he studied with Orlando Cole and Harvey Shapiro. Jeffrey performs on a Paul Schuback cello dated 1987 and a Francesco Ruggieri cello dated 1684.

Pat Leaverton

Pat Leaverton is the Strings Specialist at Fort Worth ISD, supervising all orchestra, mariachi and guitar teachers, totaling 16 high schools and 28 middle schools. Prior to 2014, Leaverton was Head Orchestra Director at Lamar High School in Arlington ISD, a posion he held since 2004. He taught in the Arlington ISD since 1989, at every level of orchestra oﬀered from 5th through 12th grade. His groups have consistently earned sweepstakes at UIL compe ons and have been awarded many “Best in Class” awards at spring music fes vals. Leaverton is a double bassist, and has performed professionally with many symphonies, including 26

Waco, Temple, San Angelo, and Arlington. He served on the TODA board from 2010-2015, including President for 2013-2014, and his service includes many capaci es for TMEA, including Region Orchestra Chair. Leaverton earned a BME degree from Baylor University and a MM degree from the University of North Texas.

Anne Lehman-Ray

An accomplished harpist and educator, Anne Lehman-Ray has performed as a solo and ensemble harpist. Highlights include the Gliere concerto with the UNT Wind Symphony, performing alongside the United States Air Force Band, and par cipa ng in ensemble performances at the Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic, Texas Music Educators Associa on, and NPR’s From the Top. She began the UNT String Project Harp program, teaches private lessons, and advocates for harp in public school orchestra programs. Anne earned a Bachelor of Music in Harp Performance and a Bachelor of Music Educa on from the University of North Texas.

Sarah Lopes

Sarah Lopes is Head Orchestra Director at Aragon Middle School in Cypress Fairbanks ISD, where she has grown the program to 240 students in four years. Her program consistently earns UIL Sweepstakes ra ngs and in 2014, earned Commended Winners in the Founda on for Music Educa on’s Mark of Excellence program. She is an ac ve clinician and has presented at TMEA and served as guest teacher.

2017 Clinicians & Conductors David Neubert

Dr. Neubert re red a er 31 years as the Principal Bass in the Aus n Symphony and as a professor at the University of Texas at Aus n. He also served as the Principal Bass in the Springﬁeld Symphony (MA) and the Wichita Symphony (KS) and taught at UMASS Amherst and Wichita State University. He served as the President of the Interna onal Society of Bassist and hosted the Interlochen ISB Conven on. Dr. Neubert taught master classes and performed solo recitals in Hungary, France, Germany, Brazil, China, and throughout the United States, including at the ASTA summer string workshops, the ASTA Na onal Conven on, and the TMEA and TODA Conven ons. Dr. Neubert earned a Bachelor of Arts at San Jose State University, a Master of Music at Eastman School of Music, and a DMA at the University of Texas at Aus n.

Ma hew Sal bus is Orchestral Director at Stevenson Middle School in San Antonio, where he has grown the program from 140 to more than 200 students over the past ﬁve years. Les Sellers

Les Sellers is Associate Director of Orchestras at Sam Houston High School in Arlington, Texas. With nine years’ experience, Les’s passion is for making an impact in the lives of students in low income communi es. He has led orchestra programs to UIL Sweepstakes, launched a ﬁrst- me program and restarted a full orchestra ensemble.

Bingiee Shiu

Bingiee Shiu is the lead Director of the Memorial High School Orchestra program and the conductor of the Memorial Sinfonia and Symphony Orchestras. He has conducted with the American Fesval for the Arts, Cypress Bible Church and the Cypress-Fairbanks ISD. Shiu has served on various state committees, including the Honor Orchestra Panel, the All-State Chairing Panel and the University Interscholas c League Orchestra Sight-Reading Selec on Commi ee. An ac ve guest conductor, clinician and adjudicator for orchestras throughout Texas and other states, he currently serves as President of Region XXVII of TMEA. Recogni ons include the Cypress-Fairbanks Spotlight Award for excellence in teaching, the UIL Denius Award, Memorial High School Teacher of the Year, Young Alumnus of the Year from Abilene Chris an University, the PTA Life me Achievement Award, the Houston Chronicle Crystal Award, and the Spring Branch ISD Secondary Teacher of the Year. Shiu has lead the Memorial Orchestra at TMEA as Texas’ Honor Orchestra, the Midwest Clinic, the M/S Ecstasy, Chicago’s Orchestra Hall, and performances at Carnegie Hall. Dr. Don Taylor, Associate Professor of Music Educa on at the University of North Texas, has devoted his research interests to social jus ce issues in music educa on. Carolyn Watson

Winner of the 2015 American Prize in Orchestral Performance, Australian conductor Dr. Carolyn Watson is Director of Orchestral Studies at Texas State University. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Conduc ng at the Aspen Music Fes val and School, a major prizewinner at the 2012 Emmerich Kalman Interna onal Opere a Conduc ng Compe on in Budapest, and one of ten women selected for the elite Dallas Opera Ins tute for Women Conductors. She has conducted the World Youth Symphony Orchestra and the Detroit Symphony Youth Orchestra. Dr. Watson is a guest lecturer at the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University and the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, and she has presented at Oxford University’s Conduc ng Studies Conference and

na onal conferences of The Conductor’s Guild and College Orchestra Directors Associa on, and at TMEA and TODA. Dr. Watson holds a PhD in Performance from the University of Sydney.

Blair Williams

Assistant Professor of String Music Educa on and Director of the TTU String Project at Texas Tech University, Dr. Blair Williams has 11 years of experience in music educa on. Dr. Williams has presented clinics regionally and na onally at the NAFME In-Service Conference, the ASTA conference, the Ohio State String Teacher Workshop, and the TMEA Conference. Her work has been published in The American String Teacher and SmartMusic. She has conducted ensembles in Texas, Ohio and Kansas, including at the Midwest Clinic in 2010, and now conducts with the Youth Orchestras of Lubbock. Laurie Williams

Dr. Laurie Williams is Interim Assistant Professor of Music Educa on at the University of Missouri Kansas City, and Conductor for the Youth Orchestras of the Lubbock Symphony Orchestra. Dr. Williams has taught music educa on courses for Texas Tech and UMKC and delivered presenta ons and clinics for NAfME, ASTA and TMEA. She has 15 years of experience teaching in public school band and orchestra programs and just ﬁnished her 20th season with the youth orchestra programs in Lubbock. Orchestra Director at McCallum High School in Aus n, Ricky Pringle has grown the group from 40 members to nearly 100. Under his direc on, the orchestra consistently earns UIL Sweepstakes awards and performed twice at New York’s Carnegie Hall. He maintains a private studio and performs as a double bassist throughout Central Texas with the Temple Symphony, the Round Rock Symphony Orchestra and the Symphony of the Hills.

Kelsey Nussbaum

Kelsey Nussbaum is the Orchestra Director at the Ann Richards School for Young Women Leaders in Aus n. In her ﬁrst year of teaching, she was awarded a George Bornoﬀ Memorial Scholarship from the American String Teachers Associa on and led her orchestra to receive Sweepstakes ra ngs at UIL. She performs as a bassist with ensembles in Central Texas and is ac ve with the UT String Project.

Andrew Po er

Andrew Po er is the Orchestra Director at Westlake High School. From 2010 to 2015 he directed the orchestras at LBJ/LASA High School, which he grew from 45 students to more than 120. His orchestras consistently earn Sweepstakes award at UIL compe ons, and in 2012 won a na onal compe on at Carnegie Hall in New York. He is a freelance double bass player, maintains a private studio, and serves as Principal Bass in the Round Rock Symphony.

Ray Fisher

Ray Fisher, a lawyer specializing in bankruptcy, has had a professional music career spanning 35 years in an array of genres from jazz and country to opera and big band. He is Principal Bass with the Mid Texas Symphony and plays regularly with the Brazos Valley, Corpus Chris and Victoria Symphonies as well as the Symphony of the Hills in Kerrville. He is also a member of Four Fights Per Pint, a tradi onal bluegrass band.

Anna Macias

Anna Macias is Director of Orchestras for the Lake Travis Independent School District. She maintains a private double bass studio and performs with the Temple and Brazos Valley Symphony Orchestras and is a freelance bassist who has been a member of salsa and Western swing bands. In 2000 she formed the Lake Travis Fiddlers, a group of middle and high school students who perform old me ﬁddle tunes and Westrn Swing music.

George A. Fahlund

An educator for 20 years, George Fahlund has taught musicians at the primary, secondary and college levels. He has played with countless groups, including the Aus n Symphony Orchestra, Aus n Lyric Opera, Aus n Playhouse pit orchestra, Zachary Sco Theatre and Zilker Theatre Produc ons. 2017 Procedure For Selecting Convention Music The TODA Board of Directors chooses the music to be read at the annual convention. These selections are chosen at the annual meeting of the Board in early June. The Board restricts its choices to music that has been published during the prior year with the exception of special categories such as UIL music. Selections are chosen from music that is sent to TODA from various music publishing companies. The appeal to the TODA membership of newly published music may vary from year to year according to what is received from publishers. Suggestions from the general membership for selections fitting the new music requirement are always welcome and greatly appreciated.
