Cleveland defeats Charlotte Yesterday the Cleveland Cavaliers beat the Charlotte Bobcats 115-105. Rookies Kyrie Irving and Tristan Thompson led the way for the Cavaliers. Irving had a career high 20 points and 6 assists. Thompson had season bests 20 points and 9 rebounds. For the Bobcats D.J. Augustin carried the load with his season high of 26 points. Charlotte has not been getting much support from the bench this season and is struggling to win. The Bobcats have lost four straight since winning their first game against the Bucks.

Yesterday the Washington capitals beat the Calgary flames 3-1 in Washington. this picture is when Alexander Ovechkin scored the first goal of the game which gave them the lead through the game which led to a win.

The Portland Trailblazers beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 103-93. Portland was led by 6-11 Lamarcus Aldridge who scored 30 points for the 4-1 Trail Blazers who lost their best player Brandon Roy. James Harden led his team in scoring for the first time this season for the thunder who have lost 2 straight.

Chicago Bullls beat the Atlanta Hawks 76-74 last night coming back from a 19 point deficit. The Bulls were led by the reigning MVP Derrik Rose who had 17 of his 30 points in the 4th quarter.


The Maple Leafs' muchmaligned penalty killers woke up just in time to kick off a crucial part of the season, and Toronto shut down the Tampa Bay Lightning on five opportunities and rode an offensive outburst to a 7-3 victory on Tuesday night.The NHL's worst penalty-killing unit was the focus of a tense practice on Monday, and it looked much better Tuesday as the Leafs killed three firstperiod penalties."We have a mindset now that we're starting fresh in 2012," Leafs forward Darryl Boyce said. "Regardless of how well we do until the rest of the year -- we're not going to bring 73 percent up to the 90s by any means -our mindset is we're just going to start fresh and we're going to put our best foot forward."

Kobe Bryant carried the Lakers when they beat the Rockets having 37 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists. The Lakers also regained Andrew Bynum who returned from a 4-game suspension. Bynum had 21 points and 22 rebounds in his first game back. For the Rockets Kyle Lowry had 22 points, 10 rebounds, and 9 assists. The final score was 108-98.

The Utah Jazz beat the Milwaukee Bucks 85-73 with Al Jefferson scoring 26 of them. The Milwaukee Bucks were without star Andrew Bogut who left the team for personal reasons.

The Buffalo Sabres beat the Edmonton Oilers 4-3 in Buffalo. Jason Pominville scored in the first to make it tied 1-1 and then the Sabres pulled ahead in the second and third to take the win.

The Memphis Grizzlies rolled over the Sacramento Kings 113-96 with 16 points coming off the bench from O.J. Mayo. The Kings lost despite Demarcus Cousins and Jimmer Freddette having good games.
