THE SUBIN AND AL UPDATE Subin’s Trip to America

TOTINO-GRACE HIGH SCHOOL/JANUARY/2012

When my mother and my father told me, “You will go to live in Minnesota,” I felt happy and I also felt nervous. I knew about Minnesota, that it gets cold in winter and there is much snow. The temperature in Busan, where I live, is about 6℃ degrees in winter, I knew that the Minnesota in winter will be very cold, but when I go here Minnesota is very hotter than Korea. I found out in summer that I would come here. I left Busan at the end of August. My mother, father, and two sisters all drove me to airport in Busan. After I went through Security, I was all alone. No family, no friends were with me. I took a Delta flight from Busan to America, I go there through Japan. It was just two hours on the airplane. I slept the whole way to Japan.

One flight attendant was Korean, so she talked to me about the airplane, and about my schedule for changing planes at the airport and she helped me relax. I had two hours in the airport in Japan. I looked around the airport. I watched the Japanese people and I found my gate for my new airplane flight. I found my seat on the plane. I was in a long middle row in the middle between two men. They were both American businessmen. We did not talk the whole flight. That was sixteen hours, I ate American food. It was meatballs and French bread and I drank some water and Pepsi. I also ate chicken salad and pretzels. It was my first time eating pretzels, but they did not taste good to me. Finally I arrived Minnesota, My host family was waiting for me so I met them and go home and have a rest, and next day I went TG.

I ate Japanese food by airline food like sushi and I like this so that was a good thing for me.
