HONOLULU, HI, AUGUST 11, 2014 – The Alzheimer’s Association is inviting Kauai residents to unite in a movement to reclaim the future for millions by participating in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s ®. The Walk to End Alzheimer’s will take place on Saturday, August 23, at the Kukui Grove Shopping Center.

PUHI — There is still time to sign up and help fight Alzheimer’s Disease, said Sharon Lasker, director of marketing for the Regency at Puakea. “We’ll be at Kukui Grove, early Saturday,” Lasker said. “A lot of our residents will be waiting to sign up from 6:45 a.m.” Lasker and the staff at the Regency at Puakea hosted a hot dog lunch and car wash for donations to benefit the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, Monday at the retirement and assisted living facility. “A lot of people come to register on the day of the walk,” Lasker said. “But people can also register early, and contribute by visiting alz.org/walk.”
