SWELLSEAL JOINTSTOP (HR) HYDROPHILIC rubber Product Description SwellSeal Jointstop HR is made of high performance modified rubber. The swelling action is the result between water and hydrophilic groups which are part of the TM molecular structure. Expansion of the waterstop creates a positive seal against the face of the concrete joint and prevents the water entry into the structure through the protected joint.

Uses Hydrophilic Waterstop can be applied against existing concrete and are simply installed by SWELLING CHART & INSTALLATION nailing or using a hydrophilic adhesive. In contact with water, hydrophilic strips react and swell by up to 300% of their original dimensions to form a compression seal. Hydrophilic strips are suitable for installation in low movement construction slabs. SwellSeal Jointstop HR is used primarily for foundation walls / slab joints, slabs-ongrade, precast wall panels, manholes, pipe connections, box culverts, wet wells, and potable water tanks.

• Simple application and joining techniques • Slow expansion rate to prevent damage to freshly placed concrete during curing • Retains original shape after repeated swelling and contraction • Swelling properties unaffected by long term wet/dry cycling • Sustains effective seal in wet conditions • Able to withstand wet conditions prior to concrete pour

INJECT re-injectable hose installation system Product Description

Re-Injectable Hose Installation System

X-SEAL INJECT is a re-injectable hose system for installation into cold joints under the water table to waterproof and then provide a constant portal into the cold joint to re-inject if required. The hose is resilient, water proof and not affected by low temperatures and is chemically inert. The main feature of the X-SEAL INJECT is an injection channel, which is a solid hose core made of high quality PVC. The core is capable of absorbing concrete pressure, ensuring the integrity of the injection channel. Laterally staggered injection openings ensure a uniform discharge of the injection material. Compressible neoprene strips in the longitudinal grooves are a unique and extremely important element of the X-SEAL INJECT Hose System. These strips act as valves during injection and as a seal while cleaning the tube for reinjection. (A) Concrete Pour

(B) Injection

When the concrete is placed around the X-SEAL INJECT Hose, the external pressure of the concrete seats the neoprene strips, sealing off injection openings and the injection channel.

The internal injection pressure compresses the neoprene strips and allows the injection material to flow out from eight longitudinal gaps. This enables a uniform discharge of the injection material over the full length of the hose.

(A)

(B)

(C)

(D)

(C) Cleaning the Hose

(D) Ready for Future Injection

When using an approved injection material, the X-SEAL INJECT Hose is easily flushed clean by using water and applying vacuum pressure. The negative pressure reseats the neoprene strips, preventing injected material from being drawn back into the injection channel upon cleaning.

X-SEAL INJECT Injection System is ready for reinjection if needed.

Uses

X-SEAL INJECT

X-SEAL INJECT can be used in all construction joints under the water table such as basements, tunnels, dams, lift wells, reservoirs, sewerage plants, poured pilings, bridge connections or anywhere where a cold concrete joint is susceptible to leaks in the presence of water.

Benefits

• The hose is completely re-injectable so it can be used over and over if leakage persists or is caused by building movement or some other event. • The hose is flexible to follow the contours of the joint and follow corners without cutting or joining. • The unique 900 connection valve allows easy, efficient and secure fastening to the delivery hoses which eliminates messy shrink tape which is often prone to failure.

Installation Guide Fabrication - Placers must be provide proof of full training by NEOFERMA prior to accepting a job and the X-SEAL INJECT Instruction manual should be rigorously followed to ensure success. X-SEAL INJECT is simply taped and cut into maximum 10 metre lengths. The unique right angle connection valve is inserted into the hose and the delivery hoses using a construction adhesive. The delivery hoses are colour coded to identify inlet and outlet during injection.

INJECT Installation Guide (continued) Placement The surface of the joint should be clean and free of any surface irregularities. The hose should be installed into the cold joint in approximately the centre of the joint (for thicker sections place the hose approximately 200mm from the water side of the joint). Place a line of SWELLSEAL JOINTSTOP BR in the cold joint approximately 80mm from water side of the joint to prevent loss of the injection material. Fasten the hose to the concrete using the clips provided. Centre and spread the clips approximately 250mm apart over the length of the hose. (Do not fasten the hose to reinforcing steel) Ensure that the delivery hoses terminate outside of the structure to allow future access. At least a metre long length of delivery hose is required outside the joint to enable easy access to pump. At each intersection, do not cross the injection hoses always cross with a delivery hose and keep the injection hoses at least 50mm from each other. NEOFERMA recommends that the ends of the delivery hoses be housed in a junction box to protect them from damage and that the delivery hose end plugs be securely in place. X-SEAL INJECT should only be injected with X-SEAL INJECTION RESIN and all or any warranties are negated with the use of other products. The minimum time before injection after the concrete is poured is 28 days to ensure that the concrete has reached full strength. Pump using a parastaltic pump which is capable of vacuuming. Always start at one end of the hose with the following procedure; (1) Connect the pump hose to the X-SEAL INJECT delivery hose. (2) Station assistant at the other end of the hose armed with multigrips to close off the hose and a bucket. (3) Fill the hose with X-SEAL INJECTION RESIN by means of the pump until it comes out the other end of the hose. Close the end of the hose with the multigrips and pressurise the X-SEAL INJECT hose between 5-7 bar. (4) From the moment that no material flows into the joint and no, or only a slight pressure drop is visible on the gauge, keep the pressure for approximately 5 minutes at 5-7 bar. This is essential to allow the injection material to penetrate into the joint. Sealing is a matter of moderate pressure and longer injection time, and not high pressure and short injection time. (5) Apply the same procedure as before from the other end of the SWELLSEAL INJECT Hose. This is to make sure that there is similar distribution pressure.

REMEDIAL WORKS X-Gel is a hydrophilic urethane crack injection system designed to seal leaking cracks, joints and holes in concrete such as basement slabs and walls. In this application water curing hydrophobic sealant is injected, under pressure, into the crack or joint. The injection can be effected from inside or outside the structure and with minimal disruption. Further, the work can be performed on actively leaking cracks. When cured, the urethane forms a tough, flexible seal that prevents water ingress.

Westox Cocoon 速 The Cocoon Desalination System is designed to extract salts from concrete structures and masonry. It is applied after the salt analysis of the structure. The salts are then extracted by means of a poultice.

Re-construction of Joints We developed NeoJoint to facilitate the repair and sealing of expansion joints in major concrete structure such as car parks, dams, and podiums. The existing joint is rebuilt using high strength repair mortar and the Neoferma gasket.
