‘Under the surface’ Paint on paint Surfaces rich, gritty The land emerges And disappears A hint of coast Of ponds, of sea Of flowers, free The image is constant, Etched, and then lost As though only a Visitor in the paint. Light on light Reflections suggested And reflected back to you Physical energy Dripping paint The feel of the wind So much space, Welcoming you To breathe in, again and again.
