Photography plays an important role in my study of art and architecture. Through the cameras’ lens and the creation of composition, lighting, shadows, colors, etc., I have learned to observe, to construct and alter reality and to appreciate the stillness of life. My diverse subjects of interest are demonstrated throughout this portfolio, from urban decay to infrastructure, from country life to abstract materiality. The portfolio is a combination of digital and analog photography, as I attempt to bridge the distinction between the two media.

The opportunities to see these structures in decay, movement and mechanism greatly influence my thinking in architecture

Light evoking Space A analog photography project highlighting the
possibility
of
creating
space
through
light and materials. Shooting minuscule and insignificant
objects
like
paper
or
plastic
sheets, I employed the clarity and subtlety of images produced by the film camera to create virtual space existing only on 2D prints.
