As I passed this little weimaraner on my block every day, I noticed all she did was sit by the side door and wait for her owners to come see her, play with her, feed her. They never did‌ It prompted me to draw this.
I later realized that my cartoon only told the story from my eyes. Back to the drawing board I went. I needed to show it from the dogs view. In the end, the dogs’ resilience makes this even sadder.
Once that was complete I realized there was an even sadder side to the story‌.Here it goes from the owners view.
A couple of months later as I pass by I realized my cartoon no longer had a character, she was gone. While it saddened me to not see her anymore, at least she now had hope.
