Juvenile Badminton Fundraiser
Keep the date: Friday, February 03 Speedy’s Bar is holding a fundraiser for the local Juvenile club. As you all know Moyvane has a history of really good badminton players. It all starts with the under age players and 2023 is no different from 2013 or 2003, there are always good juveniles coming along and enjoying themselves and keeping the tradition going. They deserve the best and in spite of the fact that there are wonderful volunteers working with them money is always needed. Currently they are training for the Community Games and are having some coaching. Details: Quiz starts at 8.00pm sharp. €20 for a table of four. Prizes: 1st - €100, 2nd - €50 3rd - €20. There will be a raffle for Spot Prizes on the night. Please support.
Senior Badminton
Last Wednesday night, January 18, Moyvane played Listowel in the Division 4 Men’s League and it was no contest with Moyvane winning five games to one. Congratulations to the team of Liam O’Connor, John Newman, Niall O’Hanlon and Radek. They will now play in the Final this Wednesday night, January 25 in Killarney. Good Luck lads and doesn’t it prove that coming through the Juvenile ranks continues into adulthood.
