Positive Changes for Just Carrots and RediBeets
Anyone who has ordered Just Carrots or RediBeets lately will likely have noticed changes in these nutritious whole-food powders, and some may wonder if something is wrong. In reality, the changes are the result of taking steps in the right direction to make AIM nutrition improvements in a continuing pursuit to deliver wholesome, high-quality nutritional products.
New Harvest Location and Manufacturing Process

The location for growing crops of beets and carrots has shifted from the Southeastern region of the USA to the Northwest, resulting in a slight taste difference for Just Carrots and RediBeets. The change in climate and location can introduce the concept of terroir, in which the land and environment may have subtle effects on the taste of crops grown in the local soil. The most important aspect is that the nutritional content of what is grown remains consistent or improves. This is the case with the beets and carrots that become RediBeets and Just Carrots.
The harvested beets and carrots are individually cold-processed into juice powders using a shorter processing time, which preserves their nutrients, allowing AIM to create incredibly nourishing food powders. The shorter duration used to grind the dried, crystalised juice has resulted in larger particles that are also darker in colour but no less nutritious. Darker, larger, crystalised particles are the new normal for Just Carrots and RediBeets.
As for nutritional increases, a 12-gram serving of Just Carrots juice powder now contains over 16 micrograms of folate, which is 4% of the recommended daily intake (RDI). Previously, there was no presence of folate in the earlier carrot juice powder when tested. And the beta-carotene in one serving has increased from 6,370 mcg to 7,140 mcg. These new nutrition facts will appear on the Just Carrots product label in 2024. RediBeets was also tested, showing slight improvements over the earlier powder but not necessitating a label change.
The new harvest location for beets and carrots and advancements in the juicing and drying process are positive changes for Just Carrots and RediBeets, maintaining their nutrition that works.
