Above Beyond &
The mission of The AIM Companies™ is to continue improving people’s lives through health and free enterprise as we journey confidently into the future. This is accomplished by Members consistently delivering wholesome, high-quality nutritional products.

Now in our 40th year of operation, the AIM Family continues this mission by going above and beyond basic business requirements of the times. What was required 40, 30, 20 or even 5 years ago continues to change because times, situations and, of course, people change.
The marketplace four decades ago was certainly not the same as it is today. Back then, Members who had grasped the opportunity to become AIM entrepreneurs would often personally deliver canisters of barley grass powder from the trunks of their vehicles: a prime example of going above and beyond. The personal touch will always have a place in time.
In 1982, most people did not have computers, and those who did will remember slow speeds and limited capabilities. Forty years later, many people have mobile phones with builtin speedy computers, sharp-shooting cameras, voice recorders and a variety of other applications.
Advances in technology now allow Members and guests to access AIM’s mobile-friendly website from the palm of their hands and easily place orders for BarleyLife, Herbal Fiberblend or any other desired products.
AIM works behind the scenes to fulfill online, phoned, faxed and mailed product orders along with the monthly rebates they generate.
Since 1982, those on-time payments have rewarded Members for going above and beyond. AIM’s nutritionthat-works sales force will always be our priority.

Benefits of Cranberry Juice or Extracts
By Charlotte Meschede - Nutritionist

The growing season is from April to November. When the berries are ripe and ready to pick, they float in the water. Being on the water’s surface exposes them to more sunlight, which may increase their nutritional value. Like most foods, cranberries provide the most benefits when they are eaten whole. However, cranberry extracts provide a concentration of the phytochemical compounds that may provide therapeutic value based on the level of concentration1 .
What are cranberries and where do we find them? Cranberries are unique fruits. This fruit is native to North America and is grown in 5 states there. They can only grow under specific conditions which include acid peat soil, and adequate fresh water supply.
What nutrients are provided by cranberries?
Whole cranberries are an excellent source of vitamin C, E, copper, vitamin K1 and vitamin B6. These nutritious fruits are also a major source of a group of plant chemicals known as proanthocyanins. They also contain a number of inflammation-fighting compounds. Any food that has an inflammation-fighting action is also relevant in helping people to achieve cardiovascular health. There have been clinical studies to suggest that people who had a daily intake of cranberry concentrate maintained cardiovascular health2 .

Cranberries and Bladder Health
Cranberry juice has long been touted as being beneficial in bladder health. It is the action of the proanthocyanins that appears to be most active in helping to inhibit the adherence of the bacteria onto the bladder lining. In practice, I have found that using cranberry concentrate or extract is useful in helping maintain bladder health3 .
Other benefits of cranberry extracts
There are many benefits that have been reported by people who regularly take cranberry juice or extracts. These include: • Maintaining cardiovascular health • Supporting digestive function • Maintaining urinary tract • Helping to manage menopausal symptoms
Some of the phytochemicals that are in cranberry juice and extracts have an antioxidant action. This means that they protect against the effects of free radicals, which can be produced from virtually all metabolic processes. Since cranberries have a high concentration of antioxidant compounds, taking cranberry extracts may help to combat age-related damage to tissues and organs. Cranberries are acidic and therefore help to maintain a healthy pH in the mouth. In this way, they can help prevent dental health problems, such as bad breath, cavities and tooth decay4 .
AIM Cranverry+ is one of those vital products that live in my emergency kit and always come with me when I travel. It has the following formulation per serving: • 500 mg Cranberry extract • 50 mg Giant Knotweed extract containing 50% trans-resveratrol • 100 mg Mangosteen whole fruit concentrate • 100 BGU beta-glucanase enzyme

Both men and women can benefit from this supplement and there is no question that it helps to keep your urinary tract healthy.
Cranberry extracts and juice are safe for most people, provided there are no allergies to any of its components and the person is not on any antibiotics. Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you are pregnant or nursing5 .
