The Faculty of Art, Design and the Built Environment integrates three academic Schools of Art and Design, Architecture and Design, and the Built Environment, all of which are underpinned by a strong teaching and research ethos. Each of the Schools makes a major and unique contribution to the visual culture, social transformation, and economic development locally, nationally, and internationally. Belfast is a vibrant European city and the University has embarked on a substantial ÂŁ250m development project to extend the existing provision alongside the art, architecture and design building in Belfast city centre. This will create an exciting state of the art teaching and research setting and will bring the School of the Built Environment to Belfast to afford new cutting edge teaching and research opportunities.
Professor of Architecture Ref: 1261400/AJ Base: Belfast The University wishes to appoint a Professor of Architecture to be based in the School of Architecture and Design at its Belfast city centre campus. The School is unique on the Island of Ireland in gathering together architecture, architectural technology, interior design, furniture and product design. It is likewise ideally positioned in the centre of a Faculty with civil engineering and planning in the School of the Built Environment on one side, and the School of Art and Design on the other, both of which have an outstanding national and international reputation.
