The Floating House- MOS Architects

The house opens to all four sides. The house is adapted to weather conditions with a rainwater removal system and shading and wind stopping system. Important and innovative is the fact that the house floats due to a tubular metal foundation that supports it above the water level.

In the wall thickness are placed all the functions: bathroom, staircase and storage.
Apparently chaotic, starting from the order of the gaps on the facade, and in the way of interior partitioning, this house was thought to follow a set of well-defined rules.
Bodo Village-Timis County
Ana Branea Alma Preda
Bodo is a municipality in Timis county, Banat, Romania. It is a village inhabited predominantly by Hungarians. It is located near the city of Timisoara. From a geomorphologic point of view, the territory has two dominant forms of relief: the hills and the plain. The hydrographic network is represented by the Bega River. In Banat area you can see a variety of types of houses because of the people that have migrated here many years ago. From the chromatic point of view, the colors used for the facades are warm (white, creme), at the windows there is a strident green that precisely marks the limit and represents the compositional elements of the facade.
The first project aimed to create two houses for two families of young people on a plot. The concept of the house was shell- core. The shell is dematerialized (the facade), the inside is protected by it(core), but it olso have visual access to the surroundings. Starting from balance between introverted-extroverted, that differs according to the young,we created a perfect balance to make the new family feel safe, but also having a large openness to the outside in their relaxation area: living room.

The second project aims to create a temporary home for a fisherman on the Bega river bank. Having the concept of duality the building is hidden in the natural landscape during the day, while in the evening is remarkable for its presence. The facade system is an interesting one, namely the type of glass that allows the landscape to be reflected in it during the day and in the evening leaving only the light to be visible and nothing more.
CASA- collective housing
After studying the area and finding useful information about pedestrians, cars, playgrounds, accessibility etc., we agreed to developed this solution. As a neighborhood without a well established identity, the project proposes a complex of houses with a representative image and with a high quality of life. We proposed homes for families without children, families with 1 child and families with 2 children. We wanted to create a pleasant neighborhood, so the relationship between neighbors was essential. For this reason, we created many common spaces that are cared for by residents, intimate personal spaces for the residents and outdoor green spaces for joint activities.
The evolution of volumes
A great advantage of this plot is the openness to the water. We have emphasized this by creating a pleasant space where residents can spend free time: recreation, joint activities. We have not forbidden other people to access this land.We created a mini park for them in the middle of the plot.

Collective Housing
Starting from the idea of a free, airy plan, the importance of the hollway walk as the ultimate relaxation route to the house, the key points on the floors where different panoramas are seen, this project proposes apartments with many qualities.
There are three types of apartments 1-room, 2-room and 3-room apartments.
The natural element being essential, each apartment benefits from a generous balcony as a size and a small green corner to enjoy a green courtyard.
The ground floor spaces from the street is given for rent by willing companies.
Front view from main street The facade enjoys beautiful details. The style of the building is given by the chromatic difference of the stones on the facades. In the intersection zones of volumes and corners, the apparent stones have a gray note, and the rest are light gray. This color game loses to the upper area, emphasizing the horizons (along with the windows) and the intersections of volumes. The stones are 15x100 cm in size and placed horizontally, offset. These are Lateral view from courtyard smooth, textured.
The court was arranged in a pleasant environment for both children and elderly. There are resty places, common grill places and playgrounds. The three types of common spaces in the interior try to emphasize the relationship between the inhabitants.

Penthouse
This project proposed the construction of a penthouse over an old building of apartments in Timisoara. It wanted to create an apartment, linked to the staircase and a multifunctional hall for residents. A plus added by me to this project was an outdoor terrace for the residents.
ZEN-concept The zen concept refers to perceiving the home as a pure, derecreating, redeeming place. Every detail of both the interior and the yard contributes to this idea.
Amsterdam House Open plan, opening on 3 sides to the water, opening to the carefully arranged courtyard. In bullets appear details of chromaticity, texture and materiality. After a study of the houses in the area, I’ve found a suitable design for the façades.
Common spaces for students -campus-Timisoara
The access space that is located between the student hostels, hosts some very small study rooms with poor conditions. The new project proposes the reconstruction of the entire building body and a new facade.

“HAI IN SINAIA” EVENT
After studying the Sinaia area and learning about its past, we didn’t wanted to leave the forgotten area during the holidays. We wanted to create an event to bring people to see what the area looks like and to involve them in this project: to think about the future of the square.
Matrix Dance Group - Timisoara
It started like a hobby, a sport and it turned into a passion. The years have passed and the awards have been gathered from the contests we have attended. The perseverance and passion of the choreographer have made me, in all these years, develop harmoniously, and appreciate the work both in team and individual and art.
We have gathered over the years a lot of awards and emotions on the competition stages.
