As we welcome Patrick in his exciting new role, he shares his top tips for helping you maintain a safe workout and offers some reminders for keeping the Fitness Centre a clean and healthy space for our members to enjoy.
1 Store Your Items in a Locker
As you enter the Fitness Centre, there are lockers and cubbies located beside the Physio area to store your belongings and to help keep the floor clear of any tripping hazards.
2 Warm Up
A quick 5-10 minutes on one of our cardio machines will help prepare your body for a workout. It gradually revs up your cardiovascular system by raising your body temperature and increasing blood flow to your muscles.
3 Use the Selectorized Machines
Our Life Fitness Selectorized machines are great tools in the Fitness Centre, especially those new to the gym. You can perform several different movements and easily change the weight.
4 Sanitize Equipment After Use
Wiping down the equipment is courteous to other members and helps promote a clean and healthy Fitness Centre.
5 Cool Down
A cool down routine after your workout is important because it lowers your heart rate, which aids in the recovery of your muscles.
6 Place Used Towels in Bins
Don’t forget to drop your used towels and yellow sanitizing cloths in the designated bins. ♦
