#TADFLASH
Located in Awas with a sprawling property with gazebos, a private pool, a terrace and gorgeous terrain, the home faces the Arabian Sea on one side and lush greenery on the other, giving you a spectacular look at both sunrise and sunset. WWW.THEARCHITECTSDIARY.COM
Done tastefully in bold colours and clean lines, the space is an eclectic mix of modern and classical elements, with contemporary heritage patterned flooring, all the elements come together to seamlessly create his new abode. Parallel living rooms with each wall adorning a different wallpaper showing contrasting colours coming together beautifully. One may presume multiple wallpapers are a tad bit excessive but Vrindavan Awas would beg to differ.

The house is built on many levels It is truly surreal
WWW.THEARCHITECTSDIARY.COM
The use of wallpapers that reflect the flora and fauna outside, to flowering plants and objects that really matter. What more could I have asked for, to live in a beautiful environment. A sandy beach on one side, the mountains and an oasis of tranquil trees on the other

The wall arts in the house are supposed to mesmerise you and take you on a journey.
The design objective while doing this house was to make it a space where every element is reflective of my aesthetic yet brings the magic of modern art come together from every angle.

As one walks into the rooms, you realize that one has managed to do justice to the design narrative.
If you see the wallpapers, each of them have elements of nature.

THE HOME OFFICE AT N8
The entire property has been painted in green and blue colour palette with neutral greys and hand painted wall art.

The Entrance lobby has been designed with a monochromatic design sensibility. The ash Colored veneer panels serve as a perfect background for the chevron weaved fabric armchairs in charcoal.

We have always somehow considered brown to be a colour for our elders as it speaks of wisdom, maturity and mellowness. The director’s office speaks of maturity, formality and luxury. Planked with walnut hardwood flooring, grey cabinetry, dry linen fabric textures and plaid wallpaper, the space radiates an extremely reserved yet timeless ambiance.

Black, present everywhere in bits and pieces, acts a s a dominant colour and catches the eye’s attention. Everything mint and pastel, making the space fresh and cozy.

This area is full of life, color and prints. It is an extension of the director’s office. The pocket doors divide the space and when needed the space can be doubled up. A really thoughtfully chosen classic jamavar pattern. The armchair and coordinated upholstery for the sofa, natural linen cushions and curtains with custom designed embroidered borders in mustard are blended together to fall in perfectly. the linen sheers makes the perfect backdrop to host meetings.

Inspired from the shades of the desert, this cabin corresponds to the arid nature of the desert as well. Dyed Sucupira Veneer in dead matte Finish with cotton fabrics without any sheen, give this space within the space (in the home office) its own identity.
Everything mint and pastel, making the space fresh and cozy. This apace is all about feeling comfortable. Our clients, along with their kids happen to use this space the most because of the feeling it creates.

#TADSTANCE
The living room is a sparsely populated space bereft of all embellishments that we see in a usual living space. One side has a series of long racks stacked up in clean horizontal lines. The wooden racks are supported by slim steel bars.
As we enter the house, the monotony of the space is seen immediately. An in-situ seating snugs to the curved wall flanking the adjacent open kitchen. The foyer and the open kitchen are enveloped in a beige colored lime plaster that adds a contrast to the overall grey palette.
These racks house the client’s book collection and curios picked up from across the world. Along the same wall is a custom made couch.
Oak wood finish shutters make the under counter space that serves as a natural contrast to the beige floor. This cantilever serves as the breakfast ledge for dining. The backsplash is again an in-situ terrazzo dado wall.
The living room opens up entirely onto the garden area through an arched doorway thus bringing the outside in. The idea here is to create a fine harmony between the indoor and the outdoor as one unified space. The whole living space has been designed so as to keep the outdoor as the main focal element.
To represent a monotone ensemble across all surfaces, the design team unanimously agreed upon adopting the color grey. Grey represents a sense of muteness, of being unbiased, neither warm nor cold and works as a perfect contrast for every other material.

The room has been designed so as to enjoy the view while resting. The wardrobe shutters comprise of linen fabric sandwiched within glass panels.

The master bedroom is again a minimalist one. A re-purposed wooden log acts as the headboard of the lime plastered box bed. The flooring is rustic white hardwood. The bedroom opens into the garden.
This is the highlight of the project around which the house has been planned. The living and master bedroom opens completely into the garden space. The garden is a finely curated space with native trees, floral canopies and a cozy bistro space to enjoy the morning coffee.
