Welcome to Bass Performance Hall. On behalf of the Performing Arts Fort Worth staff and Board of Directors, I thank you for joining us.

While it may not be Thanksgiving yet, we bet you’ll leave with some holiday cheer, and with an earworm to the tune of “fah who foraze, dah who doraze!” This week, we kick off the holiday season with the return of Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical. Based on the classic tale by Dr. Seuss, this production takes that same familiar holiday magic from page to stage as Whoville come to life in this heart-warming holiday musical!

I think my favorite thing about this story is the message remains the same no matter what medium it’s in: life is better lived when we’re together. As we go about these last few weeks in the year, let’s take inspiration from the Whos and find joy in companionship, making Christmas, perhaps, mean a little bit more.

We are thrilled to host our second-ever Sensory Friendly Performance this week as well! This unique showing on Saturday morning will provide the opportunity for members of our community with sensory sensitivities – autistic individuals, people with sensory processing disorders, PTSD, Alzheimer’s, dementia and other disabilities – to enjoy the experience of live theater and make invaluable memories with their families. Performed in a supportive and judgment-free environment, this theater experience will be slightly altered with fewer flashing lights and loud noises and customary theater rules will be relaxed, allowing guests to stand, move and talk as needed. I firmly believe the performing arts are for everyone, and I cannot think of a better show to celebrate inclusion and connection.

If you made your way through our lobbies on the way to your seats, you may have noticed our Deck the Hall gift shop is in full swing! Looking to gift an experience this year? We have something for everyone in 2025 with our Irwin Steel Popular Entertainment Series and 2024-2025 Broadway at the Bass Season presented by PNC Bank! Explore the playbill and visit www.basshall.com to find the perfect gift for the performing arts lover in your life and secure your seats for your next visit with us.

As always, thank you to all of our sponsors and donors for their generous contributions and continued support. Now, bring your cheer as we welcome Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical!
