Divorced, beheaded, died… Divorced, beheaded, survived…and tonight, the Broadway megahit, SIX, is live in Fort Worth! The show you’re about to see is a lesson in her-story, remixing five hundred years of historical heartbreak into eighty minutes of 21st century girl power. Originally a Cambridge University project from creators Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss, SIX is the global sensation that everyone is losing their head over, and the 2022 Tony Award® Winner for Best Original Score. From the moment the curtain rises, SIX captivates you with its electric energy and incredible vocals. Inspired by pop icons such as Britney Spears, Beyoncé, Adele, Rihanna, Alicia Keys, Avril Lavigne and so many others, each of the six wives of Henry VIII give their version of what really happened all those years ago. What I love most about this show is the themes of female empowerment and friendship. If there’s one thing I hope you take away from SIX, it’s that you are in charge of your own story and narrative. While there are certain things that are beyond our control, our past refines us, not defines us.

The witness, Lord Russell, observed that he “never saw His Highness so marvelously astonished.”

Musical supervisor credits include SIX (U.K. tours and West End, Broadway, Chicago [winner: Jeff Award for Musical Direction], Sydney Opera House; NCL); St. Anne Comes Home (Actors Church); Babies (BYMT). Joe studied music at the University of Cambridge before training at the Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts.
EMMA BAILEY (Scenic Design) is an awardwinning set and costume designer based in Scotland. She originally trained as an architect and continued her studies at the prestigious Motley Theatre Design course. In 2011 she was awarded the Linbury Prize for Stage Design for her production of Roy Orbison in Clingfilm at the Royal Opera House London. She trained at the Royal Shakespeare Company and has gone on to design for theatre, opera, music and fashion. emmabaileydesign.com GABRIELLA SLADE (Costume Design) works as a set and costume designer in the UK and internationally. She won the 2022 Tony Award for Best Costume Design for SIX. She won the Off-West End award for SIX in 2019 for Best Costume Design, and was also nominated for an Olivier and Whatsonstage award in the same year. Gabriella was the costume designer for the Spice Girls and their dancers for Spice World, which toured the UK and was seen by over 700,000 fans. The Children’s Education Program is an integral part of Bass Performance Hall but maintains its own support independent of Performing Arts Fort Worth. Each year, 70,000 students from Fort Worth ISD and North Texas experience high-quality curriculumrelated performing arts programs at Bass Performance Hall that are free of charge to all participants because of the generosity of our Angels in the Wings.
