elcome to Bass Performance Hall. On behalf of the Performing Arts Fort Worth staff and Board of Directors, I thank you for joining us.

Her voice was undeniable, her fire unstoppable, and her triumph was unlike any other. Tonight, we celebrate an artist that was simply the best – the legendary Tina Turner. An uplifting comeback story like no other, TINA – The Tina Turner Musical is the inspiring journey of a woman who broke barriers, overcame adversity and made a name for herself as the Queen of Rock n’ Roll. Nominated for 12 Tony Awards®, including Best Musical, this show is written by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Katori Hall and directed by the internationally acclaimed Phyllida Lloyd. Set to the soundtrack of her most-beloved hits, this 2019 musical showcases Tina’s staying power as one of the world’s best-selling artists of all time, in an experience sure to send you soaring to the rafters. What I love most about this show is its transparency. From the very beginning, we as the audience get an honest depiction of Tina’s life, from humble beginnings, to trial and heartache, to her iconic comeback. If there’s one thing we can all learn from Tina’s story, it’s that it’s never too late to reinvent ourselves. Regardless of our circumstances, each hardship we face is an opportunity to push through the fear and rise from the ashes. Next up at the Hall, we continue the 2023-2024 BNSF Popular Entertainment Series with The Simon & Garfunkel Story on March 21, followed by Bluey’s Big Play March 23-24. Recently announced, Dixie’s Tupperware Party returns to McDavid Studio April 11-14. Visit www.basshall.com for more show information and a full list of all the shows currently on sale. Finally, it’s that time once again to announce our 2024-2025 Broadway at the Bass Season presented by PNC Bank – be on the lookout as we plan to announce in the coming months! As always, thank you to all of our sponsors and donors for their generous contributions and continued support. Now, everybody Shake a Tailfeather, as we welcome TINA – The Tina Turner Musical!
