NCC leaders have inscribed their prayers on the walls and floors of our historic Navy Yard Car Barn property. Join us in prayer for this miracle space!
Note from
Pastor Mark & Lora I’ve said this before, and it bears repeating: God’s vision for this church is bigger than our vision. Why? Because it’s His church. Why would God give us an entire city block? Because He wants us to be a bigger blessing to this city. We’re going to steward every square inch of the Navy Yard Car Barn for NCC, for DC, and for the next generations. Lora and I want to invite you to join us in praying for this miracle property. You’ll find some things you can be circling in prayer on page 3.
Mark Batterson, Lead Pastor Lora Batterson

Praying Over Our Vision NCC’s Navy Yard Car Barn
“Your ancient ruins shall be rebuilt; you shall raise up the foundations of many generations; you shall be called the repairer of the broken walls, the restorer of streets to live in.” - Isaiah 58:12
W
e’re embarking on a new season here at NCC as we lean in to God’s plan for our historic Navy Yard Car Barn property.
We’re not remodeling a building so much as we are laying the foundation for a new model for the urban church—a place where lives are transformed, our community is blessed, and church is reimagined. Pray with us!
• For financial resources. May this project be the product of generosity. • For the alignment of the hearts of NCCers and others in the city. May the focus on the project remain on the potential for the kingdom to advance and God’s name to be revered. For the future vision of the project:
If you missed hearing about the vision, watch it here: ncc.re/houseofheroes.
• For every person who walks across the threshold of this building. May it be a turnaround.
Prayer Points
• For the generations of kids who will be cared for, discipled, loved in the child care center during the week and on the weekends. May they realize their potential and grow to be a voice to their generation.
For the project construction and process: • For favor with historical preservation and city officials in the permitting process. • For the architects, construction workers, designers, and other partners who will be a part of the project. May this be an opportunity for them to encounter the love of a creative God through their participation. • For the surrounding community, local businesses, neighbors, and people at the Navy Yard. May this building be a beacon of light to them even during construction as they look forward to the potential of the space blessing their neighborhood. • For creative imagination as we conscientiously recreate this block.
•For the entrepreneurs and business owners who will set up shop in the marketplace. May the space be ordained for a unique purpose for all of them. • For the community as we swing the doors wide open to them. May there be something special about this place. May the atmosphere be welcoming, engaging, safe, and inviting. May this be a place that awakens dreams, inspires ideas, creates connections, and exudes a spirit of love. • For the stewardship of every space, every dollar, every decision, and every partnership. May God be glorified. ∎

Celebrate Recovery Every Wednesday at 7PM ncc.re/recovery
NCC Central is Live! ome people might think it’s weird to get excited about a new database, but we are. We really are! Our church has been growing so fast over the last few years that we knew we needed a new, powerful way to manage information about NCCers. Why? So we can make informed ministry decisions to best help you follow Jesus. And so you can have one convenient, highly secure online platform to manage your involvement with NCC.
S
Our brand-new church dashboard, NCC Central, is now live. This platform offers heightened levels of security and privacy as well as a whole suite of new ways to communicate and connect. We invite you to activate your account and get started right now! Just go to ncc.re/central. Here are a few of the things you can do with NCC Central right now: • Set your own custom privacy levels on a very granular level for all your personal and family info • Manage your online giving easily and securely from your computer or phone • Keep NCC Kids leaders updated about your kids— including special needs and allergies
Heightened privacy and security Any time data is kept about people, security is a significant concern. NCC Central provides more layers of security than we have ever had before. This means that your personal information, your financial information, and information about our kids is locked down and accessible only to you and to carefully selected NCC staff. This is a private database only for NCCers and can only be joined with approval. Here’s what’s coming soon in NCC Central: • Register for events and groups • Manage your volunteer involvement • Browse for groups and serving opportunities • Connect with pastors, leaders, and others at your campus Are you excited yet? We hope so! NCC Central is powered by Church Community Builder, one of the leading systems of its kind. Access it through your computer, ipad, or phone at any time. If you have any questions about NCC Central, please email communications@theaterchurch.com or call the church offices at 202-544-0414.
