Meet the SGA Elections Committee

My name is Joshua Thornburgh. I am from Orlando, FL and the current Supervisor of Elections. I am a current junior pursuing a Bachelor’s in Aviation Business Administration. I am on the men’s rowing team and in Business Eagles.

As the Supervisor of Elections, I help connect the operations of the Elections Committee, Elections Commission, SGA leadership, and of course, the candidates, to ensure a smooth and successful election period. Be sure to vote!

My name is Sydney Jones and I am pursuing a Master's in Business Administration. I currently hold the role of Director of Community Relations in the SGA Cabinet. I am also a member of the Women’s Basketball team.

As a member of the Elections Committee, my goal is to help make elections as fair and seamless as possible, for both candidates and those voting. I am excited to work with all the candidates and make this year's election a success!

Hello, all! I'm Sofia Lorenzini, an Aerospace Engineering student in the accelerated MBA program. I serve as the Chief of Staff of the SGA, President of Sigma Sigma Sigma, and Captain of the Women's Rowing Team.

My role on the Elections Committee is to assist the Supervisor of Elections in all events and procedures to ensure all aspects of the election run correctly and efficiently. I'm also there to ensure all candidates are knowledgeable and supported throughout the process.

My name is Elian Polanco and I’m currently a senior studying Aeronautics and in the accelerated Master's program working on my MBA. I currently serve as the College of Aviation Senator and in Greek Life.

As part of the Elections Committee, I ensure all candidates and campaigns are abiding by our rules and regulations.
