Models That Slammed Amsterdam Day 1

ur journey to Amsterdam started on Feb 23rd coming from Boston, Massachusetts. Five TBW models and myself flew overnight and landed in Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. This being all new to us, we didn’t sleep much on the plane, having the excitement of what could happen to any one of our models. We took a taxi to our hotel, dropped our luggage off and immediately went for a walk to tour this beautiful country that we have all only seen in a textbook or online. The weather wasn’t so drastically different; nothing a heavy coat, hat, gloves, and scarf couldn’t handle. Simply stunning canals, historical architectural buildings, crooked houses connected to each other slowly sinking, people riding bicycles coming and going to work, and beautiful people everywhere. Then I received a phone call from my PMV Models partner Mariana who asked if some of my models would like to be a part of a “LIVE” TV show for TIJD Voor MAX being filmed at 5:00pm that night at the RAI Convention Center. Of course I said “YES!” It was equivalent to “The View” back home

with celebrity guests from the Netherlands. Mariana was being interviewed for her event “The Model Convention’’. We went back to the hotel, prepped ourselves with cute outfits and walked to the building thinking it was a 20 minute walk which actually turned out to be 35. That’s okay, we all needed to stretch our legs from the flight. Entering the building, there was this tall, handsome Dutch man who called out ‘’Pamela”. Yes, that’s me, I replied. He escorted all of us to the event’s stage. One of the biggest beauty & health events was taken place here for the past week with over 40,000 people traveling to this expo. Arriving to the stage, they chose our TBW Models Alejandro & Nadia to be in the show. The film crew prepped them on what is going to happen when they get on the stage while speaking to Mariana about The Model Convention. It was very exciting and none of us could understand what was happening because it was spoken in Dutch. We all just smiled a lot and nodded until it was over.

unday morning breakfast and traveling to the RAI Convention Center. 200 models were in line with family and friends. Mariana again gave us the VIP treatment by pulling us to the front of the line and had the models fill out all the registration paperwork. I was pulled into a quiet restaurant space to have tea with my dearest friend before the show begins. Mariana is a bit of a celebrity in Amsterdam but I just know her as a very dear/close friend for over 30 years. Show time!! Two photos are selected for models portfolio, rehearsal with runway techniques then agency scouts arrive and are introduced. The Agencies were: Micha Models, IMG, Touche, Ulla Models, ID Models, Elvis Models, Future Faces, Elite Amsterdam, Elite NYC, Models Rock Agency, New Generation, Maxime Models, Ford, Women Management, NY/LA Models, Wilhelmina NY/London, Premier Model Management, Brave Italy, Women Italy, IMG Italy, RED Model Management, New York Models, Vivienne Germany, Francine Spain, Wizard Models South Korea, etc... Models proceeded to walk down the runway with their number stuck on their waist. Then the models walk in-front of the scouts holding their portfolio open to be viewed and are asked some questions. Scouts write the models number down if they are interested in seeing them for a callback. Three of our models received callbacks. The rest are more prepared for the next years TMC event and will be returning. At this time the models who were called back for an interview stood in line in a separate room and had a one-on-one interview with each agency. Questions were asked by each scout and models had to answer them truthfully. Video and pictures were taken of the models and then we sit back and wait to hear from their team what the next move is. Our 14-year-old, Nadia Estes, received 11 callbacks from agencies worldwide interested in working with her. Our 19-year-old, Julia Austin, received 9 callbacks also worldwide interested in working with her as well. Helio received 1 callback.

en’s fashion is stronger than it has ever been. In the terms of what the offerings are, but also in terms of dollars, cents, and as a business. The phenomenal way the industry is expanding their talents on male models is continuing to grow and blossom. The expansion of social media has also played a significant role in enabling top male models to build their burgeoning brands. Social media has become very important role in the development of acknowledging models. Top clients look at this and want to book those models for a shoot, it’s a huge Public Relations strategy. Our TBW/PMV Model Justice Carlone is a force to be reckoned with. He started modeling at the age of 14 with normal teenager experiences. He continuously built his modeling portfolio and now, after 2 years, he’s ready to make that move to NYC. TBW and PMV Models are very proud of all the hard work he has accomplished. `Keep your eyes on the guy, he’ll be a supermodel soon.

Ghost Cupping Therapy System
