To live your life to the fullest, start taking more risks and doing the things you fear. Get good at being uncomfortable and stop walking the path of least resistance. Sure, there is a greater chance you will stub your toes when you walk the road travelled, but that is the only way you can get anywhere. You cannot get a third base with one foot on second. One does not discover new lands without consenting to lose sight of the share for a very long time. The real secret to a life of abundance is to stop spending your days searching for security and to start spending your time pursuing opportunity. Sure you will meet with your share of failures in you start living more deliberately and passionately. But failure is nothing more than learning how to win. It is risky out on a limb. But that's where all the fruits is. Life is all about choices. Deeply fulfilled and highly actualized people simply make wiser choices than others. You can choose to spend the rest of your days sitting on the show of life in complete safety or you can take some chances, dive deep into the water and discover the pearls that lie waiting for the person of true courage. In our Organisation/Movement there are so many pearls in the deep. (Children) who will show the courage to bring them out to be exposed to the world?. It is the responsibility of we the adult leaders to mould these pearls to make more shining pearls which will be attracted by all the viewers. I mean these pearls are the cubs, bulbuls, scouts, guides and Rovers. They are the future citizens of the country. Let us work together to make them as good human beings through scouting/guiding so that they will enjoy their life.

The demand for authentic literature for promotion of our youth programme and supporting adult leader training is a long felt need. Senior Leader Trainers from different parts of our country are contributing for the publication of the literature at the earliest. On behalf of National Headquarters, I extend my heart felt thanks to them for the yomen service.

Inculcation of Moral Values Among Children When most persons talk about a school curriculum they think about math, science, S.St. & language courses. Seldem do I hear or read about moral values as being part of curriculum. The problem is that the neglect of teaching moral values in schools is hurting our students & causing problems in society. As educations we should all advocate the teaching of moral values in our schools. Find manners are a stronger bond than a beautiful face. The former binds while the latter attracts only. “Allexander Pope in his book, “The Rape of the Lock” writes, “Charm strikes the sight but merit wins the soul”. These oft quoted lines have become very relevant these days because India, a land of Rishis & munis, Peers and Pagmburs, has started to influence Western Culture. The offspring of today has become problematic because moral values like truth, honesty, obedience, discipline etc. are missing in them. The children are disobedient, adamant ill-mannered & disrespectful towards their elders & society. Though the number is very small but the day is not far when there will be total chaos & restlessness in society. Who is to blame” The blame is entirely with the parents & teachers. Parents do not have the time to interact with their children. They are hankering after money and think the more facilities they provide to their children, the better it is. They are mistaken. The comforts and luxuries make them lethargic, inactive and inefficient. The teachers seldom try to probe into the inner self of students. They go to class, teach them and come back. They are least bothered about their habits & behavior. Because of C.C.E. they are becoming indifferent. The dire need of the hour is that both parents and teachers inculcate in them the moral values through interaction by telling stories, by taking them to Temples and Gurudwaras. They should also encourage them watch religious movies. It is right time to bring them on the right track otherwise there will be total disintegration & disturbance in our social set up.
