The official journey of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav which commenced on 12th March 2021 is going to complete 42 weeks out of 75 weeks by the end of December. This event has given us an opportunity to celebrate the glorious history of the great personalities besides the culture and achievements of our great nation. The Bharat Scouts and Guides has been conducting a number of events to mark the occasion. Let us celebrate the event with many more creative ideas. We had the virtual meeting of the National Council and witnessed the unanimous election of Dr. Anil Kumar Jain, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) as President and Dr. K.K. Khandelwal as the Chief National Commissioner. The Bharat Scouts and Guides congratulate them and pledge to work under their dynamic leadership for further progress and achievements. We have been hearing that Omicron Covid Variant cases have been coming up. Mask is a universal and social vaccine which is effective against any variant. We insist that our scouts and guides should be self protective by using the mask, sanitizer and maintaining social distance before involving themselves in awareness programmes and other activities. Ministry of Health, Govt. of India advises that” there is no need to panic but we need to be vigilant” . Our Country marks and celebrates the date on which the Constitution of India came into effect on 26th January in 1950 and we celebrate73rd Republic Day next month. Let us celebrate the Republic Day by unfurling the National Flag and participate in parades, awareness programmes and various other activities.
