As I sit here in 23 degree weather and the snow flying all I can think about is getting out and hitting the road and all of the events. We are now having a lot of people sending in events for us to post. It seems that this year we are reaching out a little further because I have had several that were sent to me from Cleveland and Akron Ohio and also a few for West Virginia. As of this time I have over 160 events listed. Please, if you have anything happening in the bike world send us the information at thebikerstradingpost@gmail.com . Bike Nights will be starting soon. Once again, if you have one or know of anyone having one please let us know. We run the largest confirmed listing of bike nights in the area. thebikerstradingpost@gmail.com We were thinking of doing something different this year and I am wanting a little feed back on this. If we would get the whole community together and every week pick a different bike night to go to. Many of the bike nights need a good boost and this would give people a chance to meet new people and see different locations. Lawrence County Motorcycle Blessing A shout out to Pastor Rich Shira for all his efforts in making this a great event once again. Motorcycles filled the down town New Castle Riverwalk Park area and music along with the smell of food captivated all in attendance. This is always a great turnout and a good time to catch up with some old friends. There were ample people out in the crowd after to bless all the bikes and bikers for family and future rides. Damon Covert & The Miraculous Catch Of Fish provided music along with DJ George Malich. Katherine Shira gave the blessing along with Father Zachary Galiya’s Blessing and water Blessing. TR Walker presented a flag ceremony with his daughter Abby Walker singing the National Anthem.

Lawrence County Proclamation Run Hugger-Muggers was the starting point for a nice ride to the Lawrence County Courthouse for the annual Proclamation Run. It was about an hour long ride through the country with a police escort. There was a nice gathering at the courthouse with Bob Russell, the Lawrence County A.B.A.T.E. President, taking the control. Also speaking from A.B.A.T.E. was Vice-President Bill Kirkwood, Legislative Coordinator Bill Beck, and Chapter Representative Rich Shira. Also attending and speaking was Rep. Chris Sainato, Rep. Aaron Bernstine and Lawrence County Commissioner Dan Vogler who presented the Proclamation to A.B.A.T.E. Also speaking was Mary Lou Gallatin who was a driving force in Daniel's Law, House Bill 853, which made changes to the current texting and driving laws in the state of Pennsylvania and is spreading to other states now. It was a great day to be out. Thank you, Lawrence County A.B.A.T.E. for all you do for this community.

POLICE MOTORCYCLE SKILLS
FOR CIVILIAN RIDERS Advanced motorcycle skill courses include the same training exercises used by police motor officers and motorcycle rodeo competitors. Classes are conducted in a relaxed, low-stress environment by highly-qualified instructors. All classes are time in the saddle riding. No boring lectures in a classroom. New Castle Harley-Davidson On Saint Patrick’s Day Bill and his crew at New Castle Harley-Davidson held their Saint Patrick’s Day Open House and Chili-Soup-Stew Cookoff. The cookoff was sponsored by the West Penn H.O.G. Chapter. There were plenty of different flavors to taste and some great snacks on the side. I had to try some of the Irish beer that was on hand. Bill has his shop packed with a lot of the new bikes that are on the market and they are always wanting to make a deal for you. When you are looking for a great place to ride this summer check out the McConnell's Mill/Hell's Hollow state parks and Moraine State Park and then stop at New Castle Harley-Davidson just a couple miles away.

Humor to relieve stress My Wife Won't Like This While riding my Harley, I swerved to avoid hitting a deer, lost control and landed in a ditch, severely banging my head. Dazed and confused I crawled out of the ditch to the edge of the road when a shiny new convertible pulled up with a very beautiful woman who asked, "Are you okay?" As I looked up, I noticed she was wearing a low cut blouse with cleavage to die for... "I'm okay I think," I replied as I pulled myself up to the side of the car to get a closer look. She said, “Get in and I’ll take you home so I can clean and bandage that nasty scrape on your head.” "That's nice of you," I answered, "but I don't think my wife will like me doing that!" "Oh, come now, I’m a nurse," she insisted. "I need to see if you have any more scrapes and then treat them properly." Well, she was really pretty and very persuasive. Being sort of shaken and weak, I agreed, but repeated, "I'm sure my wife won't like this." We arrived at her place which was just a few miles away and, after a couple of cold beers and the bandaging, I thanked her and said, "I feel a lot better, but I know my wife is going to be really upset so I'd better go now." "Don't be silly!" she said with a smile, while unbuttoning her blouse exposing the most beautiful set of boobs I’ve ever seen. "Stay for a while. She won't know anything. By the way, where is she?" "Still in the ditch with my Harley, I guess."

"We've arranged for a full-time tutor who will teach the child all the usual subjects along with French, Mandarin, and computer skills." Then the social workers express concern about a child being raised in a circus environment. "Our nanny is a certified expert in pediatric care, welfare, and diet," the circus couple explained. The social workers are finally satisfied. They ask, "What age child are you hoping to adopt?" "It doesn't really matter, as long the kid fits in the cannon.

McMahon’s Cycle Sales No one knows how to throw a Saint Patrick's Day party better then Brian and his crowd at McMahon’s Cycle Sales Inc. in Beaver Falls. They had some great Irish food starting with corned beef and cabbage and finishing up with ice cold green beer. While I was there, Brian never stopped using that pencil of his making some of the best deals that you will find in Western PA. The staff working there is great and always friendly and the inventory is always good. This is their biggest party of the year and one that should never be missed. Missed Again A nun and a priest decide to take a day off, so they go golfing. The nun gets a hole-inone, but the priest hits it into a sand trap. He’s so angry, he shouts, “God dammit, I missed!” The nun reminds him not to take the Lord’s name in vain, and the priest apologizes and tries again. He hits the ball into the rough, and in his anger, once again shouts “God dammit, I MISSED!” “Father, please, you must stop taking the Lord’s name in vain!” the nun pleads. He apologizes. On his third shot, he hits it into the water and yells “GOD DAMMIT, I MISSED!” and before the nun can say anything, a bolt of lightning strikes her, killing her instantly. Out of nowhere, a loud voice booms, “God dammit, I missed.”
International Female Ride Day Full Throttle Sisterhood was started in Nov 2017 by Chryss Workley as a way for women riders to find one another and plan rides together. In January we decided to plan the ride for International Female Ride Day and the group and event continued to grow. Anita Overbo helped in planning and led the group from Gattos HD to New Hastle HD. Jenn Lewis is a manager at Johnny K's Powersports and planned and led the ride to New Castle from there. Myself and Hollie Feather planned and led the group from Street Track n Trail as well as led the entire group from New Castle to the American Legion Post 220 in Grove City for the after party. The after party served as a meet and greet for ladies to meet in person and we plan to continue having meet and greets and rides over the summer. Many husbands and significant others joined us to celebrate at The Legion with dinner, a DJ, raffles and door prizes. It was a wonderful turnout. As of now the group continues to grow, with it now having 550 members. Girls plan small rides together with people close to them and we also try to get out and support bike runs around our areas as we are able. We want to make sure it is known that Full Throttle Sisterhood is not a club. We serve as a way for women to find others to ride with, empower new riders and even meet up in groups with our guys and plan day rides. We plan to hold a 2nd annual Women's Ride on May 4, 2019 for International Female Ride Day ( which is always the first Saturday in May ). The Butler County A.B.A.T.E.
BikePAC Fun Run April 21st brought what I consider the first sign of spring, and that was not a robin. The Butler County A.B.A.T.E. held their annual BIKE PAC FUN RUN. BikePAC is the Political Action Committee for Bikers. This is normally the first run for the year that I cover and the weather is typically a little chilly in the morning. It showed 31 degree outside when I got up but one of the riders said it was 27 degree when he got moving. There are always so many familiar faces at that run, but one couple always stands out. I see Jamie and Keith at almost every event I go to. It was great to see the group that did brave the cold to come on out, and I am looking forward to a great season of events.
