City planning and legal staff will request an upcoming Ontario Municipal Board hearing on a proposed nine-storey condominium at Bloor West and Durie streets be adjourned until a planning study of Bloor Street West setting out guidelines for future development is publicly reviewed and adopted by Toronto council. Should the adjournment

request be denied, councillors endorsed city planners’ recommendation that city planning and legal staff oppose the proposal at the board. Etobicoke York Community Council voted unanimously in favour of both motions during a two-hour debate Tuesday at which nine residents spoke in opposition.
